3. Light!

Valerina's POV

I am not feeling any pain. I moved my hand and it feels normal like it wasn't broken. 

He always does this, first hurts me and then makes it disappear. 

The first time I opened my eyes in his darkness, I tried to run but there was no door. 

I cried, screamed but he wasn't bothered at all. I don't know how many times I have asked him his intentions but he doesn't answer. 

He just keeps me locked in the dark room. Tired of all this I tried to end my life but I don't know how he got to know and stopped me. 

He snatched the dagger from my hand and gave thousands of cuts on my hand. It didn't bleed, just gave me immense pain. I couldn't even breath. 

"The moment you entered my life, you lost the right on your life..."

I cried when he gave me another cut. 

"These cries, tears and blood... I'll be the only one to give you all this."

His voice was calm but promising. He wasn't bothered by my cries at all. 

I can't forget that pain, I don't know if I fainted because of pain or cries but when I woke up there was no pain. 

I can't feel the pain of last night either but still I don't want to open my eyes. I don't want to witness him again and what's the use of opening the eyes when what I am going to see is only darkness. 

I gasped when I felt myself floating in the air. I can smell his strong scent. 

God! He is carrying me somewhere. No! Where is he taking me?

I refused to open my eyes. His stone like hard body made me feel threatening. His hold slightly tightened on me when I shivered. 

I jumped in fear when he placed me down on something, may be bench.

"Open your eyes..." 

I gulped when he said that. 

I slowly opened my eyes and quickly closed it when it burnt. 

"Open your eyes..."

I flinched when I felt him closer to my ear. 

I slowly opened my eyes and it was a little darker. I looked around and saw thick curtains around me. 

My heart started beating fast when I saw light, not sun but hope of little brightness. 

I am in light that's why my eyes burnt, after staying in the dark for I don't know how long, my eyes couldn't take the brightness. 

Something moved behind me and then I realised that he is still behind me. 

I clutched on the hem of my dress when I heard his footsteps, same footsteps which haunt my dreams. 

I gulped and looked down and My eyes fell on shiny leather shoes. I slowly started looking up. Black trousers, veiny hands tucked in pockets, leather belt, folded sleeves. He is dressed like a human. 

I gathered the courage to look up, I have never seen his face in broad light. Only fangs and glowing eyes. 

His chest is so big, he is so big... Like a mountain. No wonder he snaps my bone with the lightest touch. 

His neck, Adam's apple. He is more human like other than any normal human being then what made him like this? What is he? 

My eyes finally landed on his face and my heart almost jumped out of my chest. 

No! He is not a human. No human can be this beautiful. 

Sharp jaw, thin lips, long nose my heart skipped a bit when my eyes met his purple one. His eyes! It's purple not red. Then why do I see red every night. 

One strand of his platinum silver hair fell into his forehead. No one will believe that this angel like looking man is a monster.

Slowly curtains around us started falling and the brightness started hurting my eyes. I closed my eyes and large hands wrapped around me.

Wait! When did I got up? I was sitting. 

Why is he bringing me out in the sun? Is it because I cried last night? 

Is it even possible or is there something else in his mind? Or is it a dream? 

After some time when I was prepared I opened my eyes again and It's not a dream. I am really out in the sun, I can feel the warmth on my skin. 

I looked at him again but this time his eyes were red, it made me take a step back from him and he let me go. 

No matter how beautiful and alluring his presence is, he is a monster. 

Something flashed in his eyes when I stepped back, I don't know how to read it. 

I broke the eye contact and looked around. My jaw dropped when I realised where I am, it's a castle. But not the one you see in movies. 

I could see the place more clearly from the balcony, it has huge garden but all dead. Castle is looking like a haunted palace which was burnt and no one tried to revive it back. 

There is no life around this place. It has huge compounds and behind it I could see only forest, dark green forest which has life. Then what happened to this place? Why it's like this? 

This place is so sad. 

I turned my head to look at him but he wasn't there. He left. 

I don't even know his name. I sighed and sat on the bench, It feels so good to see sun after a long time. I was about to die in that darkness. 

But why did he decided to Do this? Is it because I cried last night? 

I looked at my wrist and there is no mark of any injury. It's perfectly fine. 

What is he doing to me? 

But that's not what I should think right now. I need to find a way out of this. 

I don't know what are his intentions and I can't stay here. Now or later, he will kill me.
