Writer's POV
Elara sits on the bed with Tasha, staring at a phone screen. The video played over and over again, showing Drasa and Cassian kissing by the bathroom. Each time it replayed, the anger in the room grew thicker. Elara watched with cold eyes, but Tasha was shaking with rage. Her hands were clenched into fists so tight her knuckles had turned white. "I can't believe this," Tasha hissed through gritted teeth. "That little nobody thinks she can just take what's yours?" Elara paused the video right at the moment where Cassian's hands were on Drasa's ass. "She’s very stupid.” Tasha was lost in her own fury, remembering the night before. "I had everything planned perfectly," she said, her voice getting louder. "I was going to make her pay for even looking at Cassian. But then that stupid girl Amelia came out of nowhere!" Tasha stood up and started pacing around the small room. "She locked me in the changing room for the whole night! The whole night, Elara! If the security guard hadn't come to unlock doors this morning, I'd still be trapped in there!" Elara rolled her eyes. "You should have planned better. You got careless." "Careless?" Tasha spun around to face her. "How was I supposed to know that crazy girl would lock me up?" "You should have been more careful," Elara said coldly. "Now look at what happened while you were stuck in a closet. Drasa got exactly what she wanted." Tasha's face turned red with anger, but Elara wasn't finished. "You want to know what's really annoying?" Elara continued, her voice getting harder. "Yesterday, I tried to get Cassian's attention. I lured him into the changing room when no one was around." Tasha stopped pacing and stared at her. "What did you do?" Elara's jaw tightened. "I got close to him. Really close. I pulled off my clothes and put his hand on my breast, trying to make him see what he was missing." "And?" Tasha asked, holding her breath. "He pushed me away," Elara spat. "Just pushed me away like I was nothing. Like I was disgusting to him." The memory made Elara's hands curl into fists. She had felt so confident, so sure that Cassian would finally notice her. Instead, he had looked at her with something close to disgust and walked away. "That bastard," Tasha cursed. "How dare he reject you for that plain little…” "Don't," Elara cut her off sharply. "Don't waste your anger on Cassian." Tasha looked confused. "But he…” "Cassian isn't the problem," Elara said, her voice deadly quiet. "Drasa is. She's the one who thinks she can waltz in and take what doesn't belong to her. She's the one who needs to learn her place." Tasha nodded slowly, understanding starting to dawn in her eyes. "You're right. It's all her fault." "Exactly," Elara said, standing up and walking to her window. "If she hadn't been there, throwing herself at him like a desperate little slut, maybe Cassian would have been more open to my advances." "So what do we do about it?" Tasha asked, the anger in her voice now focused and controlled. Elara turned back to face her, and Tasha could see the cold calculation in her eyes. This was the Elara that everyone feared, the one who could destroy someone's life with a smile on her face. "We make her regret ever coming to this school," Elara said simply. "We make her life so miserable that she'll beg to transfer somewhere else." Tasha's eyes lit up with malicious excitement. "I like the sound of that. What did you have in mind?" Elara sat back down on the bed and picked up her phone. "First, we make sure this video spreads to everyone. Every student, every lecturer." "Already done," Tasha said with a cruel smile. "I've been sharing it all morning. By now, half the school has seen it." "Good," Elara nodded approvingly. "But that's just the beginning. We need to hit her where it really hurts." She opened her laptop and started typing. "Her grades, her reputation, her friendships. We destroy everything that matters to her, piece by piece." Tasha leaned over to see what Elara was doing. "How?" "I have connections," Elara said mysteriously. "Professor knows who my dad is, students who will do anything I ask, parents on the school board who trust my family." She pulled up several social media accounts and started crafting posts. "By the time we're done with her, no one will want to be seen with Drasa. She'll be completely alone." "What about that friend of hers? Maya and Amelia?" Tasha asked. Elara's smile turned even colder. "Amelia can be swayed with money and Maya will abandon her soon enough. Once the pressure gets too much, once being friends with Drasa starts affecting her own reputation, she'll run like everyone else." Tasha clapped her hands together excitedly. "This is perfect. That little nobody won't know what hit her." "The best part," Elara continued, "is that she'll never be able to prove it was us. Everything will look like natural consequences of her own actions." She showed Tasha the posts she had written, full of concerned language about "inappropriate behavior" and "setting a bad example for younger students, kissing at a student welcome pool party. A fresher!” "You're brilliant," Tasha breathed, reading over the carefully crafted messages that would destroy Drasa's reputation while making Elara look like a concerned student. "I know," Elara replied simply. "By Monday morning, Drasa will wish she had never heard the name Cassian, let alone kissed him."Drasa POVSome days, I wonder why I’m still stuck behind this bar. Maybe it’s the money, maybe it's the weird sense of control I feel when I’m pouring drinks for people who clearly don’t deserve them. Or maybe it’s Amelia’s annoying laugh that somehow keeps me sane through it all.Work today was the same cocktail of chaos and crap. The moment we opened, some rich guy snapped his fingers at me like I was his personal maid. Another complained about the “temperature of the ice” in his whiskey, like I carved it out of the wrong glacier. The crowd only got ruder as the night went on, like some unspoken contest to see who could insult me with the biggest fake smile. You’re slow, and the drink’s weak.”I clenched my jaw, forcing a smile as I wiped the counter. “Then maybe you should try water next time.”He sneered. “With an attitude like that, you’ll be stuck here forever.”Before I could respond, Amelia slid in with a grin that was equal parts charm and threat. “Sir, I’d love to see you
Drasa’s POVI barely made it to the dorm, the weight of every stare and whispered conversation pressing down on me with every step. Fingers pointed as I passed, people exchanged looks, but I didn’t care. Let them talk, let them judge, nothing new.I walked faster, not wanting to deal with their judgment for another second. As soon as I reached the door of my room, I pushed it open, barely taking a breath before stepping inside. Maya was sitting at her desk, buried in her books, headphones on, completely lost in whatever she was studying. I closed the door quietly behind me, leaning against it for a moment, just taking in the comfort of being in a space where I didn’t have to pretend to be anyone else but myself.I slipped off my hoodie and tossed it on the bed, the weight of the day pulling at me. I just needed a few minutes to breathe in fresh air.Maya didn’t even look up at first. I could hear the soft click of her pen as she scribbled notes. It was always the same focused and d
Cassian POVI didn’t follow her this time. Not because I didn’t want to but because I could tell she needed space, again.I just stood there, frozen at the door of the closet, her words echoing in my head like bullets."I’m not a problem to be solved."She was right. God, she was so right.I leaned back against the wall and dragged my fingers through my hair, trying to breathe past the lump in my throat. I hadn't meant to make her feel…owned. Or trapped ... .I just wanted the world to know I was with her. That I chose her, that none of those videos, none of their jokes matter, neither will it change what is going to happen between us, but maybe I was doing it all wrong.I stayed in that damn closet until the halls were quiet and my breathing was steady enough to pretend I was fine cause I can't bring myself to understand why I am feeling this way. Then I headed out, my steps automatic, my mind still spiraling on how I am stuck in with her.By the time I made it to the courtyard, Kai
Cassian POVYou would think after everything, she would at least look at me.But Monday proved me wrong, again. She walked into class with that same stiff posture, her hoodie drawn up like armor, eyes hidden behind heavy eyes and a stare aimed directly at the floor. There was a time I used to sit beside her and she'd smile before I even said anything. Now? She sat alone, and I—I still sat with her.I didn’t care that she moved her body away from me. I didn’t care that she hadn’t spoken to me in a whole day. I still took the seat next to her, just like I always did. I guess part of me thought if I stayed long enough, she’d remember what it felt like to have me there but she didn’t.She didn’t even blink when I said her name under my breath, or when I gently nudged her elbow with mine. Nothing, I might as well have been invisible. It hurt more than I thought it would and I keep wondering why I feel this way, nobody has ever made me feel this way. After class, I gave her space. Thought
Drasa POVI want him gone, I didn't want to see him again after the stupid stunt he pulled on me but the look he had on his face melted the hardest part of me away, I can't show him that…no, not now.“When you figured out I wasn't answering my phone or returning your calls, what was the best thing to do at that point? You leave me the heck alone!!” My voice was loud but I managed not to be too loud.“Are you saying I did the wrong thing by coming down to speak with you?” He questioned, I could hear how hurt he was feeling from his voice.I didn't know what else to say, what word was meant to process after that, rather than speaking I stood still looking confused.“What the hell is going on between you two?” Kai’s voice broke through my thoughts.“None of your business, go wait outside for me.” He said, his voice echoed with command.“Okay, I will leave you two to fix whatever this is… I will be in the car.” He said and left without arguing.I was surprised at Kai’s behavior, he is kno
Cassian’s POVI stood in the middle of the sidewalk, watching her disappear around the corner, her hoodie bouncing with every furious step. She didn’t look back once.I dragged a hand down my face, biting down the frustration burning in my chest like wildfire. This wasn’t how I’d planned it, not even close. I wasn’t supposed to push her, I was supposed to help her feel seen, like this storm she was stuck in wasn’t hers to weather alone. And instead, I dragged her out in the open, again acted like I wasn't bothered about what was going on. Like a fool, like I hadn’t learned anything.“Smooth, lover boy,” Kai’s voice echoed from behind me. “You’ve really got a way with the ladies. Kidnap them, confuse the hell out of them, then piss them off so much they vanish like smoke.”I turned, glaring. “Can you just….shut the hell up for once?”He raised his hands in mock surrender, that stupid smirk still etched into his face. “Hey, don’t shoot the reader of things. You’re the one out here h
