Marcus seemed really tense while the strange woman had a gentle smile on her face.

She seemed to enjoy seeing him that way.

I decided to butt in after a while of simply watching the scene in silence.

I looked towards Marcus who was still standing right beside her. “Who is she?.

He instantly walked over towards my seat and leaned towards my ear. “You should get going, it's getting late.”

I stood up and picked up the gift bag he had earlier handed to me.
