24. Messed Up With Noah

Casey POV

"Enough, Sherly. Don't say unnecessary things!" James snapped at Sherly.

Unfortunately, Sherly's words had already gotten into my head, and it made me overthink everything.

"Casey, go to the room with Noah. Please check on him." James ordered me.

I couldn't handle all this. I mean, why was I involved in something I had no clue about?

"Tell me what's really going on, James? Who's Becky? Why is Noah like this? Noah told me he got into an accident..."

"He got into an accident trying to avoid Becky! Becky is the guy who sexually assaulted you. Noah helped you. That whole thing made Fallen Bike openly declare Noah an enemy who needs to be taken down! We haven't been in a fight for a long time. We agreed to a truce. We were in a peaceful state until you showed up and caused a mess!"

"Sherly!" Noah tried to get up, even though he was struggling. He groaned in pain. I winced, seeing Noah's condition.

I rushed over to Noah, holding him so he wouldn't fall.

"Don't listen to Sherly. She's just talking crap. Take me to the room."

I nodded. Even though my argument with Sherly wasn't over, I didn't want Noah to react and get even more hurt. James helped me support Noah. We went into the room. Meanwhile, Sherly's sharp gaze was still on me. Her attitude clearly showed anger and hate, as if I had come between them to ruin everything. When I didn't even know what was happening.

Noah was laid on the bed so carefully. He winced and looked helpless. I felt bad seeing him like this. Even though he was annoying, it didn't mean I liked seeing him hurt.

"Joseph!" James yelled.

I was surprised, not understanding what was happening. A guy dressed similarly to James and Noah came in with a bag. He took something out of it. A syringe and an ampoule. He walked over to Noah with the syringe, grabbed Noah's arm, and injected him.

"What is he doing to Noah, James? Why is he suddenly injecting him?"

I was speechless. The guy named Joseph was like a doctor. After getting the shot, Noah looked more relaxed. I glared at James.

"Noah's getting a painkiller," James replied. "His arm wound is pretty serious. Noah must be in a lot of pain."

Joseph treated him very skillfully. He checked all of Noah's wounds and gave him medicine.

"Is he a doctor?"

"Nah. He's one of us. He can do that, take care of sick Black Hell members."

After a while, Joseph was done. Noah looked better, though he was still weak.

"Looks like it'll take about a week to recover. You need total rest, Noah," Joseph said. "I'll give you some meds to speed up the healing."

"Thanks, Joseph."

"He's not a doctor. He shouldn't be giving out random meds!" I said.

"I went to med school and used to be a doctor," Joseph replied. "I just don't work as one."

"You don't have a medical license?"

"Revoked for various reasons," Joseph said casually. "I just don't have the formal paperwork, but I can take care of Noah and anyone else who needs my help."

That shouldn't be allowed. A medical license is a super important thing, but I couldn't protest. At least no one knew about this.

I walked over to Noah, looking at him with pity.

"Don't look at me like that," Noah said. "James, take her home. Don't let her stay here."

"I can take care of myself," I argued. "Just worry about yourself. Is all this really because of me?"

Everyone went quiet. Noah looked at James. Joseph quickly packed up his gear and left without saying anything, as if to give me and Noah some space.

"You guys talk," James said. "I'll wait outside. I'll take Casey home if she asks me to."

James also left the room. I was alone with Noah. He looked at me with an obviously tired expression.

"I'm sorry," I said, feeling an unbearable amount of guilt.

"Why are you saying sorry? That's not like you."

"You shouldn't have helped me back then. I caused you to be like this."

"If this is about what Sherly said, please don't listen to her. She just can't keep her mouth shut. Sherly is very possessive..."

"Sherly's right. I should never have gotten involved with you and caused a mess."

"Don't be like this, Casey. Just be normal. I get into this kind of stuff all the time. Fallen Bike and Black Hell have never gotten along. Even if we've had a truce for a long time, it doesn't mean there aren't any disagreements."

Without realizing it, tears fell from my eyes. I must be crazy. Why was I crying? This was so stupid.

"Hey, hey, Casey. Why are you crying?"

"I caused you to get hurt, Noah."

"Don't cry..." Noah tried to grab my hand, struggling a bit, but he managed. He pulled me closer to him. "Becky and I are old enemies. Even if it wasn't because of you, he and I would've fought. Don't cry. It makes you look even uglier."

I looked at Noah. His usually fierce but handsome face was now bruised and battered from the wounds. I stayed quiet, unable to look away.

"This isn't because of you, Casey."

"You sure?"

"Mmm."

Noah touched my face, gently lifting my chin. The touching expression and our eyes meeting created a weird sensation I couldn't explain.

I moved my face closer, more intimate and intense. In a few seconds, our lips touched, kissing each other softly. The feeling of being connected, which I shouldn't have felt for any man besides Anthony, was now starting to develop for Noah. Why was I letting myself be in this situation? Why wasn't I saying no? But the desire to continue this was too strong. I couldn't just refuse it.

"You guys are really making me sick!" Sherly suddenly came in, and I immediately pulled away. I was shocked, like I'd just been caught doing something wrong.

I instantly moved away from Noah. My heart was pounding. I was scared of Sherly's reaction. From what I knew, Noah was also involved in something intimate with Sherly.

"Sherly, what the hell are you doing?" Noah yelled.

"You should never have touched Casey, Noah! You're breaking the rules! You can't involve Casey in our gang!" Sherly yelled back.

"Shut your mouth, Sherly. You don't have the right to control my life. Why are you so mad? I've never been mad when I've had a threesome with anyone. Just let me do what I want!"

I was shocked after hearing what Noah said. What were they doing? Threesomes? This was insane. They were doing something so wild!
