LOGINCasey POV
Noah's stare just froze me. I'd never been with a guy besides Anthony, and I'm so old-school. Like, I'd make out with Anthony, but I'd always make sure I stayed a virgin.
"Your face is all red, Swan. Has your boyfriend never treated you like this?"
"Stop messing with me! What do you even want?!"
"You wanna get revenge, right?"
"I never said I would."
"So, you're just gonna let your boyfriend have a blast while you're miserable?"
Noah's hand suddenly slid under my shirt. He rubbed my stomach. I gasped, totally on instinct. I had no idea why I was reacting like that.Noah grinned, looking all smug as he watched me.
"You feel it."
"Shut up. You bastard."
"Indeed, but don't deny you're kinda turned on by my touch."
"Let me go. I'm leaving."
"Nah, nah. You already decided to come with me. You can't just bail before finishing things with me."
"What do you mean? I didn't make any deal with you. I came with you because…"
"Because you were too embarrassed to look pathetic in front of all the college kids, right? I know you were using me. So now it's my turn to use you."
"What?"
Noah pulled out his phone. Then he took a picture of us.
"What are you doing?"
"This is a weapon."
"Huh?"
Noah looked at me, smiling. His clear eyes were kind of captivating, but I tried not to get sucked into the situation. No luck, though. Noah's hand was still on my stomach, starting to move up to my chest.
"Don't touch me!"
Noah's lips got close to mine. My body instantly shivered. He recorded us, then he kissed me, moving his lips a little wildly. Just a few seconds, then he let go. He also pulled his hand away from me and got up.
Noah flopped down next to me, staring at his phone, or rather, watching the video."You're so hot, Swan. I like it."
"My name is Casey. And don't harass me like that again!"
"Casey? Oh... I'm not harassing you. I'm helping you. I can send you this video if you want. That way you can get back at your boyfriend."
"I don't need that video. I should go!"
I quickly bolted out of the room, but as I stepped out, James showed up. He looked so rushed."Go, Noah. The cops are here. Looks like it's your dad's orders!"
Noah got up. He pocketed his phone. Then he grabbed his jacket.
"How many are here?" Noah asked as he walked out.
"There are two police cars. Sherly's distracting them right now. You should go, Noah. Don't let them see you here or we're screwed."
I had no clue what was happening or why Noah's dad would call the cops, but they definitely looked tense. That meant things were not good.
James and Noah looked at me. It made me confused and totally freaked out.
"She can't be seen here either, Noah," James said.
Noah rubbed his face. He was panicking. I started to get scared about the whole situation. His hand instantly grabbed mine.
"I'm taking her with me," Noah said.
Noah pulled me out and led me into a dark corridor. This wasn't the area we came through earlier, this was a back way.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
Noah didn't answer. His steps were quick. I heard a loud noise from the bar area. Some stuff fell.
"Don't look back!" Noah warned me.
We got out through the back door. This area was totally quiet. Noah sneaked past the side of the building. I saw his bike, which was parked out front earlier, but now it was on the side of the building.
"Stay here."
Noah immediately got on his bike. He waved quickly, signaling that I needed to get on right away. So I did. Noah started the engine. We peeled out of there. As we passed the front of the building, I saw two cop cars out front and a few people in police uniforms seemed to be searching the place.
I was terrified. Cops? I'd never been in trouble with them my entire life. What had Noah done? Why were the police looking for him?Noah was riding the bike so fast. It freaked me out. I didn't dare open my eyes wide. When we rounded a corner, Noah's hand grabbed mine and made me hug him.
"You're gonna fly off if you don't hold onto me."
I couldn't argue. I was seriously terrified. I hugged Noah tight, letting him take me wherever.
After a bit, the bike finally stopped. I dared to open my eyes. I saw a super luxurious house. The yard was huge, and there were some bodyguards guarding the place.
"Get off," Noah ordered me.
I immediately got off Noah's bike. What was wrong with me today? After years of living a boring life, today was just completely random. Suddenly I was in a biker gang hideout, then running from the police, and now I was at a fancy house.
Noah got off his bike too. Then he grabbed my hand. I was surprised why he kept holding my hand.
"Let's go inside."
When Noah was about to walk, I pulled him back.
"Wait, wait, wait. Why are we here? And whose house is this?"
"My dad."
"What? Are you crazy? Why are we going to your dad's house?"
Noah just smiled. He wouldn't explain anything to me, then still led me into this luxurious house. I was amazed by this place. Where I used to live, I never imagined I'd get to step into a house this fancy.
"Noah, I just wanna go home."
"You're not going anywhere. I'll help you by giving you that video, but you also have to do what I ask."
"I didn't say I'd agree to anything."
"We're already here. You don't have a choice."
"Hey, hey, Noah!"
As we walked in, a woman, looking super hot and elegant, came up to us. She smiled at Noah.
"I'm glad you're back. You must be here for dinner with your dad, Noah," the woman greeted him.
"Don't get in my way, Bitch."
I was shocked by Noah's attitude. Why was he so rude to that beautiful woman?
"Where's my dad? I need to see him."
"He's busy. Some biker gangs are causing trouble in this town. He's doing some things to sort them out."
Noah's jaw tightened. He did not like what that woman said. Instantly, Noah let go of my hand, went up to the woman, and grabbed her arm roughly.
"Tell my dad I wanna see him right now or he's gonna regret it."
"Why are you so mad when I mention biker gangs? Are you involved with them or... "
"Hey, Mistress! I'll rip your mouth off if you get involved. This is my business with my dad. I wanna see him now or I'll... "
"Noah!"
From the direction of the door, a man's voice echoed, loud and firm. I turned. He was the guy from the newspaper article. That meant he was Peter Adam, Noah's dad. He was the mayor of Wood Town. Oh, my god.
Mayor Adam walked with confident strides. His vibe gave me chills. Now I got why I was so scared of Noah, his dad gave off the same vibe.
SLAP!
Suddenly, he slapped Noah. I was shocked. The sexy woman was too.
"You've embarrassed me! Why are you still hanging out with those thugs! You know I have to protect this town, but you're getting involved with them instead!"
Casey POVI’m sitting on my bedroom floor, staring off into space. My stomach’s killing me. Chills are shooting right through my bones. I know I’m gonna fight with my mom. It’s like we’re cursed to never get along. I know she loves me, but I’ll never get what goes on in her head. Why’d she have to meet Becky five years ago? Why did that whole thing have to happen? Why do I have to go through all this shit?“Darling, you need to eat dinner.”“I can take care of myself, Mom.”“I know you’re mad, but don’t hurt yourself over this.”I don’t wanna say anything. My mom never wants to get how I feel.Next morning I head out to the garage. I know I’m being stupid. I shouldn’t even be here. I should’ve just left my car here and headed back to Center City.“You’re here.” Jordan greets me.I smile, but inside I’m dying of embarrassment. My eyes drift to my car—still completely untouched.“Your car needs some serious TLC. How long’s it been since you brought it in? You skip maintenance or what?”
Noah POV“How about I move in with you in Wood Town, Noah?”Reemar, all bright and cheery, dropped that on me out of nowhere. Not like I saw it coming.”Oh, wow. That’s… that’s a dope idea… but honestly? You’re better off staying in Center City.”“Why? You said you wanted to date me, didn’t you?”“Hm, yeah. But I like a little challenge. And aren’t you still trying to get back at your ex-fiancé? I can just come visit you in Center City and… ““That’s what you’re thinking about? Noah, you actually want to get revenge… “I flashed her a smile. One I knew would make her melt. She pulled me in, and next thing I knew, we were making out. It didn't take long ‘til I had her clothes off. I turned into a total animal up there on the bed. Been way too long holding back all this tension. Reemar knew her way around. Her body was on fire, and kept me on my toes. I got her off fast, then took what I wanted. That’s all it was. Yeah, just that. But… nah. Who am I kidding? I had a plan. And Reemar? Sh
Casey POVSlap!!“Stay the fuck away from Reemar, Noah! You can hit on anyone else but not my friend, not Reemar!”My blood was boiling. I couldn’t control my body. As soon as Reemar told me Noah had been hitting on her, I hopped in my car and drove straight to his garage.Noah was quiet. He was sitting on a car hood, staring at me with a tiny, mocking smile.“Why? Do you fucking care?”I let out a cold laugh. “Of course I do. Reemar’s my friend. She’s not like all those other girls you can just destroy.”“Destroy her? Who’s destroying who, Casey? What do you even think of me?”“You mean to tell me you’re actually trying to date Reemar? You think I’d buy that shit?”“Hmmm. I’m dead serious. I do want to date her. She’s cute, she’s honest. She sees me for who I am without looking down on me.”“Did you tell her you’ve been to jail?”“I’m serious about Reemar. There’s nothing I’d hide from her.”I tugged at my hair in frustration. My thoughts were all jumbled. Noah’s answer was clear, bu
Noah POVSilence mixed with tension flooded the air. I went quiet after spilling everything I’d been holding in for so long. And Casey… man, she was crying, crying like someone who’d just lost everything. The damage I’d taken was too much. Losing James wasn’t easy, and then Black Hell getting shut down on top of that? My dad treated me like a stranger now, even though he gave me a fresh start after I got out of jail. But without James and Black Hell, I was just a loser.“Get out of here, Casey. Wood Town ain’t good enough for you,” I said, making sure my voice was cold as ice.Casey was the reason all this happened. My biggest regret was not listening to James. I never should’ve gone near her, but… even though I was so mad. Even though I blamed her for every single problem, there was a part of me that missed her. I couldn’t help it.“I am sorry,” Casey whispered, her voice scratchy. “Forgive me for causing all this.”I took a deep breath. “Apologize don't bring James back, Casey.”“Th
Casey POV“Come on, Casey. Why are you sitting here like you’re worth nothin’?”Reemar grabbed my hand, tugging me toward the river.“No, no, Reem. I can’t… “I wasn’t ready to get soaked in river water. I just wanted to tag along with him.“Good idea!”Noah popped up from the water, climbing onto the bank. His eyes had that look. The one I knew all too well. That damn sneer of his was familiar as hell.“No, Noah, no!”Noah shook his head. He closed in on me, lifting my body with Reemar’s help.“Fuck, let me go!”They swung me around. Laughing their asses off. The river water was like it was waving at me. Oh, no…In seconds, my body was flying into the river. One minute the air was free and clear. The next, cold, crisp water was wrapping around me. I lost control for a second, water flooding my nose and mouth, but only for a beat before my brain snapped back to reality. I tried to push my head up, kicking my legs. The current was a little strong. I could stand, but my foot slipped. I
Casey POV“Going out?” I raised my voice as Reemar tried to talk me into hanging out.Real talk, I’d asked for a week in Wood Town just to chill. My schedule in Center City was insane, and it was all so emotionally draining. I needed a break from all the chaos. And one of the reasons I didn’t stay at my mom’s place? I really wanted some me-time, just for myself.“Please, Casey. Noah made time for us. He said he wants to show us around Wood Town.”“Us?” I mumbled, taking a deep breath.Reemar gave me those puppy dog eyes. You know the ones, like he wasn’t gonna back down till I said yes.“Alright, alright, but… “ I trailed off, hinting at conditions.“I’ll go along with whatever rules you lay down.”I couldn’t say no to Reemar. Even though he never said it out loud, I knew his heart was broken. He was trying to distract himself from it all. I’d checked his fiancé’s socials, and the dude posted wedding pics. Reemar still hadn’t unfollowed him. Which meant he hadn’t fully let go of Patri
