THIRTY-EIGHT

TINA POV

I head into the house. As I move to take the queen and Scarlett upstairs, I feel his fingers tighten just a little before he lets go and walks over to his friend. I lead Scarlett and the queen into what used to be my parent's bedroom,

“Your highness, Scarlett, your mother can shift in the bathroom and have a shower. There is already a towel in there and I’m sure she will be able to find some clothes in the closet to wear.”

“Thanks, Tina.”

I bow slightly and back out of the room. I walk down the hall a little and enter what was my room, where the Alpha had been keeping Scarlett. I sit on the bed and look around. Many things had and have happened in this room, the best times with my friends and then the worst with my father. I don’t realise I am crying until I hear Scarlett at the door.

“Tina? Are you okay?” She moves into the room and sits next to me on the bed.
