As I slowly opened my eyes, my gaze fell on the person I loved most in this world - Bridgette. But to my surprise, she wasn't lying in a hospital bed, she was sitting beside me, holding my hand and smiling weakly.

I felt a wave of relief wash over me, and I quickly sat up, wrapping my arms around Bridgette in a tight hug. "Oh, thank god you're okay," I whispered into her hair, holding her close.

Bridgette hugged me back, her arms trembling with emotion. "What happened to you?" she asked, her voice shaking with concern. "You're all beat up and bruised."
