CHAPTER SIX

"I can pay for what I bought" she said angrily and she paid to sakes representative and packed her things.

"Show off!" She said and stormed out, I chuckled in amusement, the sales representative swiped my card and I ran after her, she entered the car and I entered too, I kept stealing glances while she focused her attention outside, staring at nothing.

"I'm sorry, you could have politely decline my offer you know?" I said as I drove out of the parking lot.

You should have asked me before attempting to pay for me you know?" She shot at me and looked away.

"Okay, my bad! I'm sorry, I'm just used to paying girls bills" I said as I turned right.

"First of all I'm not girls, secondly if you are driving me home, you were suppose to turn left" she said

"Shit!" I reversed and turned the car, she kept directing me until she told me to stop in front of a big mansion, I looked around the street, it's the same street I dropped Layla few days ago. I looked at the mansion again.

"Is this your house?" I asked as she got down

"No dummy! My house is still two blocks away, see you in school tomorrow, bye!" She said and left

I waved at her and stared at her until she was out of sight, I ignited the car, turned and drove off. I kept thinking about her on my way home, then I remembered what happened today, when I got to school, I noticed that people were staring a lot and gossiping, I heard some girls saying "he's the guy", I just brushed it off thinking, it's because I just got to this school.

when I walked out of the class angrily earlier because of the things my partner said to me, I told the teacher I went to the restroom but something different delayed me.

I walked out of the class in anger " how could she say such things to me? She's so mean! I wonder why she hates me so much" I thought in anger as I kept walking to no where, a voice stopped me.

"Hey, what's up?" I faced the direction of the voice and i saw a guy of average height, he's dark in complexion, he's on low cut and well dressed, he looks cool and really familiar, but he isn't in my class, where did I see him?

"Hey" I answered.

"I'm Dewunmi, you are Ethan right?" He asked

"Yes I am"

"I'm from the humanities department so I'm sure you don't know me" he said with a smile.

"Yeah, I don't" I kept wondering why he stopped me. "Is he gay? Oh God! My anus!" I thought.

"I saw the video, it was completely hilarious, it's the talk of the school" he noticed the confused look I wore and said "the video where you kicked Henry's ass" he said and giggled while I widen my eyes.

"There's a video???"

"Y...yeah, it's on the school's I* page" he said and I finally remembered where I saw him

"What! you took the video and posted it right? You were at cold stone that day right?" I said as I finally remembered where I saw him, he was at cold stone that day with a little girl I guess is his sister.

"Yea...yeah!" He answered reluctantly

"come on why do you have to do that?" I said worriedly, my dad must not see the video else I will be in trouble and I don't want my partner to see it too.

"Humiliating him is what I've always wanted to do, he's a asshole and yet everyone loves him, he made my life a living hell in this school, he has been bullying me right since junior school, I wanted him to have a taste of his own medicine, but I'll delete it if you want" he said.

"I know you want to have your sweet revenge, I totally understand and I don't blame you but this video can put me in trouble, please delete it now before anyone else sees it" I said and he brought out his phone and deleted it

"It's done" he said and I breath out a air of relieve.

"Please never do such thing again" i said

"I won't, I promise, so friends?" He said and stretched his hand for a shake, I took it, he smiled and walked away. Then I walked back to class, my anger vanished when I saw her as i entered until mr Udo stopped me, I've always planned to deal with him and I did even though Mr Williams already threatened to report me to my father if I do such thing again.

I snapped out of my thought when I realised that I'm home already, I drove in and entered my house. I made myself a good food and slept thinking of patty, my pretty partner.

After another week in school, I went to the lockroom to get a pen in my locker, I heard the alarm for assembly, on my way out I saw patty.

I saw her, I saw patty she is a replica of a

Zombie, her face is sour and her pace is slow, she walked past me without acknowledging my presence, I followed her, she kept walking to a deserted place where the students don't go often, we walked through the staircase and reached the terrace and I still followed.

When I got there, I opened my mouth in awe, the view is nice and the breeze is fresh, she stood there and just stared, it seems she has been here often.

I touched her and she jerked up, she was frightened as if someone would hurt her, she relaxed after seeing it was me.

"Oh, it's you" she said with a fake smile

"Yeah, it's me... Are you seriously not going to tell me your name? We've known each other for three weeks now, you don't have friends in class, no one talks to you not to talk of mentioning your name, are you really not gonna tell me?"

"Yeah!" She answered without sparing me a glance

"Can you give me a hint please, I'm so curious? Or i should continue calling you patty"

"You can find out from any other person in class, you know?"

"Yeah, but I want to hear it from you..." My eyes wandered around her body and I couldn't take my eyes off her buttocks and gboooom! she caught me looking "God! She is gonna make French fries out of me today!" I thought as I awaited her yelling

She rolled her eyes. "You turned out to be a Pervert after all!" She turned to leave

"Hey wait! You look beautiful when you are angry" I said trying to switch the topic even though I'm being sincere.

My eyes moved to her bosom and i can't stop looking, sweet Jesus my eyes won't land me in trouble one day, I hope I won't get slapped, as I was thinking of all these, I'm still unable to avert my eyes.

"Hello! Up here" she called me to look at her face not her bosom, she felt embarrassed and gave me a look that screamed PERVERT! ASSHOLE! BLOODY JERK!

"See I'm sorry for staring inappropriately" I said awkwardly in a low voice, if looks could kill I'd be dead now.

"It's okay" she said and faced the view.

I waited for a while before I asked her.

"Is anything wrong? You look unhappy, why don't you have friends? And why are you here? Seems you come here a lot"

She sniffed, God dammit! She's crying!

"I come here when the thoughts of my father crosses my mind, I badly want to talk to him" She said in a whisper, if I had not strained my ear, I wouldn't have heard.

I looked at her and told her to go ahead and talk to her daddy, thinking she's just pulling my legs.

"Can you please excuse me? I'll meet you in class" she said as her eyes pleaded for me to give her space I left her but I knew something was wrong, what if she wants to jump off the terrace, I went back and stood by the door.

"Hi daddy, it has been four years now, you promised you'd be back, my birthday is just around the corner, I don't want to spend it all alone again dad, you said mom would come for me, you said I should not hate her because she loves me and she'll come for me, you said i should not believe what Aunt Theresa told me on my 5th birthday, now I believe everything dad, my mom doesn't love or want me at all. Aunt Theresa hates me because of her, I told you not to go anywhere but you said you'd be back and everything will be fine, but you didn't show up and I've finally realised that you can never come back, I love you so much dad" She said as tears ran down her beautiful face! I didn't mean to eavesdrop but I can't leave her all by herself.

I watched her as she cried hard and I felt a sting in my chest when realization hit me that, her father is dead and she's still traumatized, but i wonder where her mother could be. I moved close to her and drew her to my chest in a bear hug, she cried heavily and soaked my shirt with her tears, but I didn't mind, she's in pain and have to help the little way I can.

I patted her back and she calmed down after a while, she withdrew and I almost jumped off the terrace when I saw her face, her eyes are bloodshot and her mascara has ran down her face with the tears, she still looks cute though.

I brought out my phone and I took a picture of her before she could stop me.

She yelled. "What did you just do? Delete it right now!"

"No!" I said confidently. "Moreover, why should I do as you say?"

"You arrogant imported baboon!" She muttered angrily

"Woah! That's not my name, you know? My name is Ethan"

"I don't care! Delete that right now before I attack you"

"Catch me if you can" I said and ran! She ran after me and she started laughing when she tried to catch me many times but didn't succeed, she stopped to catch her breath and I stopped too.

"Please, delete ...that I know I... look awful there, I don't want ...it to be something you see every time and laugh at it" she said as she breathed heavily, she bent with her hands on her knees.

"Fine! Let's do it this way, why don't we apply this method, trade by barter, you do something for me, I'll do something for you?" I asked as I raised my brows, she rolled her eyes and asked

"What do you want in return?"

"Your name!" I said as I smirked victoriously.

"No, I'm not telling you! Ask for something else" She said.

"That's all I want, but if you can't tell me, I guess I should leave, the assembly should be over" I turned to leave before she pulled me back.

"Fine! I'll tell you!" She glared at me angrily.

"I'm all ears" I said as I crossed my arm awaiting the name I've been dying to know.

It's.... Bianca" she said and my heart exploded, the perfect name for a perfect girl.

"Oh, what an awful name?" I said, trying to infuriate her, she widened her eyes and gritted her teeth, then I heard my mom's voice from New york.

"Run son, run!" I ran as my leg could carry as I heard her laugh faintly, guess she knew I was joking. The assembly is already over and when I got to class, students were still settling down. Layla bumped into me.

"Hey Ethan! Sorry I didn't watch were I was going" she said and I nodded even though I knew she bumped into me intentionally

"We've not hung out in weeks, so I thought we should whenever you are free" she said as she gave me a seductive smile.

"Layla, exams are fast approaching, we should focus on that" I said and walked to my seat, after few minutes, Bianca came looking as if she never cried this morning, she wore a fake smile and sat in her seat.

Hey... Bi-an-ca!" I teased as I winked and she pinched me on my tummy, I couldn't scream out I had no choice that to scream inside as sweat bud formed on my forehead.

This is what they call when teasing goes wrong.
