RAPHAEL'S POV It had been such a lousy two weeks since the time Thorne got here. Tank was nowhere to be found, Peter was slowly begining to lose himself as the days went by while I was simply just here, tending to Thorne. I didn't worry much about Tank, he was a grown man, old enough to take care of himself but sometimes when I remembered how angry he had been when he dashed out of Matt's store a fortnight ago, I realized he could have ended up anywhere between bashing his head against a hard brick cement wall of getting in the way of a moving vehicle. The only certainty stopping me from everyday worrying was that if anything pertaining those two assertions had happened within this town, news would have gotten back to us. For now, I just had to assume that he was too angry to return home or even check up on Thorne. When it came to Thorne, there wasn't much of an improvement, just a few distorted words in the middle of the nights, most of which I couldn't make out. I neve
LYRA'S POV "I get the feeling you're not exactly ecstatic about this." Duncan said as I tilted my head sideways. Well, he was right, infact. "Yeah, but I can manage." I breathed. I had nothing to lose when it came to the security of my pack. Duncan nodded at me and shifted, the next few seconds that passed between us felt a wee bit awkward, only fit me, I could see Duncan didn't at all feel uncomfortable. "I've never actually been here." He mentioned looking around. "Yes, you have. About a hundred times as I can recall, you do have a school here remember." I reminded. "Yes, I do but I didn't mean the Bloodmoon Pack. I meant to say I haven't been inside the pack house. It is a very beautiful place." He laughed, that made me frown a bit. My words weren't aimed at making him happy or laugh as he just did. "By the way, I heard from Jennifer that you withdrew him from the school, why?" He lurched forward. "He is my son Duncan, and I wo
LYRA'S POV It took quite a while along with the sound of the door creaking for me to let go of Ryan as I looked up. The door was partly open and I could sense someone was behind it. "Who is there?" I asked patiently. Ryan removed his arm which was wrapped around my neck and turned to face the door. He rested his backside against my body as the door creaked again. "It's me, Tank." The door opened and he revealed himself dressed in an army green T-shirt and a pair of dark blue jeans. "What do you want?" I asked him brushing away a strand of hair from my hair. "I just want to get Ryan, we plan to go out today." Tank explained. "Why?, he didn't tell me that?" I turned my gaze to Ryan giving me a frown but he just stared back at me with a smug smile on his face. "Where exactly are you going?" I asked Ryan. Ryan spread both hands apart from each other in a way that said, "I don't know" I looked up at Tank demanding an answer fro
LYRA'S POV Two weeks later. Ryan was sitting across from me, his small hands fiddling the buttons on his shirt. I couldn't tell if he was trying to button the shirt up or trying to unbutton it. I just stared, outside the window while the corner of my eyes watched everything he did. It had been two weeks, not a call, no one to reach out to, not when the regent was treating me like trash ever since that unfortunate day. To be honest, I hadn't tried stepping my foot there since then but I called, Thorne's line but his phone only rang back in his bedroom. I still had hope though, even though they haven't sent a word and I got my new beta sometime around last week (one that I was yet to accept). I had a feeling he was coming back, he couldn't leave me all alone, never,at least, not without a goodbye. And this was basically one of the reasons I was yet to tell the pack members about Thorne's absence or about their new beta. Elyan and Edgar were begining warm up to him bu
DUNCAN'S POV Lydia sat beside me as I helped her with her homework, I just couldn't help it , we had most of our father and daughter time while she was doing her homework, how could I possibly refuse that. It was just impossible, simply impossible. "Miss Selena said you would be back on your feet before long." She said with a smile. "Do you believe that?" "Of course, I do. If she says that, then you must believe she is telling you the truth. She has no reason to lie to you." "But you've lying like this for so long, it's been like a hundred days now." She exaggerated. "Come on dear, it's only been like four days." I get that it could equal a hundred days in a toddlers eyes. "Are you sure, you've spent a lot of time lying like this. I don't think it's just four days." "It is four days and trust me I would get up one day and carry you to bed like I always do, I promise." I patted her on the head. "Wait, you're lifting your hands."
LIRA'S POV It was exactly an hour mater, just one hour later. I heard that knock on my door, I pulled the bedsheet away from my body and sat up. I had been expecting to come forth any moment from now, well, and now here she was. "Hey Lira." Lexy knocked again. "My friends are here." "I'm up, I would be right downstairs." I shouted. There was no use shouting though, she would be able to hear me clearly with her super hearing. "Don't be late!" I heard Lexy giggle away as she left the door again. It must be hard being her as a teenager, imagine giggling after every word and no one ever took you seriously, or people just thought you were about to pull a dangerous prank on them when you mean absolutely no harm, but then you try to explain but they don't believe you because you simply can't stop giggling? I made that up because it was exactly what I thought when she giggled behind my door. Like a giant slime would be waiting outside for me the money I opened th
