SOPHIA'S POV

"But I can't read!" Lydia yelled angrily at me.

"What did you say?" I tilted my head, leaving the door side and moving closer to her.

"I said I can't read! I'm only four years old." Good goddess, she had the guts to repeat it.

"Turning five in a few months and you're telling me you can't read? Not even a single word from your book? Come on, what have they been teaching you at school?" I questioned her.

"I don't know." Lydia shrugged. I couldn't tell if she was unaware of how serious this could be especially if Duncan heard about it or if she was just being naturally careless and indifferent.

"How is this possible?" I asked no one in particular.

"Are you asking me that?" Lydia folded her arms up.

"I wasn't talking to you Lydia." I shut her up.

"I seem to be the only person here, asides you that is." She made a face at me while I hissed.
