LYRA'S POV

"Is he getting any better?" I asked Mirabel moving my head an inch forward as she packed up her medical tools.

"Obviously, he isn't Lyra. He is out cold and that's even worse than being hot." She said.

My head fell as I palmed my face. "So there's nothing you can do?" I questioned.

"I don't think I have enough experience to deal with something like this Lyra." She shook her head.

"But you're the best doctor in this pack, if you can't heal him, who else would?" I asked her.

"I don't know, Lyra, but whatever is going on with Thorne is out of the ordinary. It's not normal," she voiced the very thoughts I had in mind. Of course, I knew it wasn’t ordinary, but I had hoped. Was it a crime to hope?

"Have you tried using your healing powers on him?" Mirabel asked me.

"Yes, I have but it's not working and I think it only made him worse." I revealed to her.
