Chapter Two

Linda walked in holding two bags a happy smile on her face. "What is that?" I asked her, brows furrowed. I set my Ramon noodles down and paused one tree hill.

"Our dresses," she chirped.

I quickly stood up to grab, but she pulled away, wagging her finger at me. "No, yours is a surprise. But I can show you mine?" She unzipped the bag and pulled out a white long sleeve lacy form fitting gown. The top part lacy and the bottom part silky and flared on the floor, it was gorgeous.

"Oh my god Linds, this dress is beautiful!" I squealed, running my fingers over the design.

"Wait until you see your dress. I designed it and you are going to love it." She smirked, that caused me to frown.

"Why can't I see it now?" I whined.

"Because it's a surprise, and you'll see it on Saturday," she stated as she retreated down the hall to her room.

**

"Hey shortcake," My co-worker Calvin called me as he loaded the dishwasher. I knew him since my first year of Uni. He was a sophomore at the time, but he graduated from Uni and trying to pursue his singing career.

"Hey Calvin," I greeted him while cleaning the plates. Calvin was a cute guy, with a tall lean muscle build. He was the definition of cute. He had messy blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes and an amazing voice.

"Are you going to the ice ball on Saturday?" he asked me while loading more dishes on the sink.

"Yeah, how do you know about the ice ball?"

"Kazumi Callan is a really sweet person so, she gave our invitations to the whole crew," he said, helping me load the dishes in the dishwasher.

"Oh that's nice... to bad I wasn't there." I grabbed the rag to wipe my hands.

"Are you..." he trailed off, "going with anyone?"

"Yes. I'm going with Linda. Are you going with anyone? Is there a lucky girl?" I nudged him and he blushed.

"There was a girl, but she's going with someone so, you know."

"Yeah, I understand." I grabbed the notepad to take some orders.

I leave the kitchen area and head to the dining room and groaned as I spotted Storm and his girlfriend Trisha at table number five, chatting.

I sighed. "You've got to be kidding me." I muttered.

"Everything alright want me to take their order?" My co-worker Billy asked kindly.

"No, it's okay, you should rest," I said as she placed her hand over her swollen belly. She gave me a small smile and sat down where she took the seat reservations.

I took a deep breath and walked towards the table, a fake smile on my face. "Welcome to Bristo, what would you like to order?" I set the menus down and Storm looked at me in surprise.

"Samantha, I didn't know you worked here?"

"Well, you know now." I forced out a laugh.

"It's really nice here. I love the theme and the scenery." Trisha gushed, looking around. The Bristo was a woodsy velvet theme with dim lights and perfect aura. A lot of celebrates comes because it's the five-star restaurant. The manager is my mom's old friend from high school, so I got the job easily.

I nodded, pursing my lips. "Yeah, it's nice."

"Trisha got into the publishing company," Storm bragged and Trisha blushed.

"Really where?" I faked my happiness. And please don't be where I think it is...

"Manhattan Publishing Company. I got the interview yesterday, and they immediately liked me." Trisha smiled widely as Storm stared at her adoringly.

I sighed irritatedly under my breath. "That's great! I'm happy for you." I forced a smile, and I noticed Storm looking at me warily. “So, what can I get you guys?"

For the thousandth time...

"Let me just get mushroom soup and a side of garlic bread," Trisha said.

"And I'll get the Grilled salmon with a side of mash potato," Storm said, handing me the menus. "And to drink?" I scribbled down the order. "Just two glasses of white wine." Hannah smiled at me.

I nodded, leaving taking a deep breath.

When I got home, Linda was sowing something in her room, so the machine was loud. I knocked on the door and opened seeing fabrics and fabrics of clothes scattered on the floor. Mannequins were scattered in the corner of her room as she sowed a pink dress.

"What's going on?" I raised my brow and Linda turned around, her shoulder-length dark brown hair was messy and her light brown eyes wild.

"Andrei is what's wrong!" She exclaimed, throwing her hands in the air in exasperation.

"Who's Andrei?" I stepped over the clothes. "He's filling in for Kazumi since she's busy with the ice ball preparations, he's so bossy and rude and orders me around since I'm an intern. He may be hot, but I'm not having it!" She wiped her forehead which was covered in sweat. "And I have to sow fifty dresses for the models that's performing at the ice ball in two days. My fingers are cramping, and I'm losing my mind," she added, letting out a sigh and frown, laying her head on my shoulder.

I ran my fingers through her hair "I feel sorry for you."

"Yeah, me too... Andrei is really hot though and young. He's 21 like us. If he was nice, maybe I would like him, but no, he's a douche bag." Linda sighed and stared at the mess on the floor.

"Well, how about you relax for a few hours? I'll help you clean up all this mess and then later on, you can sow and finish up." I suggested. She sighed again and then nodded.

"Oh, I forgot to ask you, why did you call Storm over?" I raised my brow.

She smiled sheepishly. "I may have invited him to my graduation... And I wanted you guys to see each other again. Maybe, re-spark that love you guys lost. But I didn't expect for him to move here with Barbie," she spat.

"But still, you didn't have to invite him." I sighed, picking up the fabrics.

"He's my best friend Samatha, and plus he emailed me saying he might move here with his fiancée." Linda changed into her Pj's.

"I understand. But you should have talked to me first. Give me a heads-up," I said.

"I know, and I knew how much you still love him after all these years. Plus you guys didn't been break up." She yawned.

"I know!" I frowned. "Storm and I really didn't break up. For all we know, were probably still boyfriend and girlfriend."

Linda gasped and squealed. I turned to see her eyeing her phone.

"What is it?" I asked her. "Iñigo Callan is attending the ice ball! Oh my gosh!" She gushed and I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Who is Iñigo Callan?"

"He is the hottest young billionaire. He is Kazumi's Youngest son, his father Richard Callan lent his company's to Iñigo, because his two oldest sons declined the offer," she said one breath.

"What's so special about him?" I questioned, putting the fabrics on the hamper.

"What's so special about him?!" Linda shrieked and I widened my eyes. What? I was just asking. "Don't even get me started on his eyes."
