Reborn as the Villain

In a beautiful room filled with an unnatural calm, a girl lay motionless on a round bed. Her breathing was faint, as if she were suspended somewhere between life and death. Soft light filtered through the room, yet it failed to touch her—as though she existed outside its reach.

She was breathtakingly beautiful.

Her face was serene, lips pale pink, and her hair spilled loosely across the pillow, like a figure pulled straight from a painting and left unfinished.

After a few moments…

Her eyelashes fluttered.

Slowly—very slowly—her eyes began to open.

She stirred, trying to gather herself, her gaze drifting around the unfamiliar space.

“Where… where am I?”

The question echoed inside her mind.

This place was nothing like a hospital. There were no white walls, no beeping machines, no scent of medicine. Everything felt different—too quiet, too perfect.

“And Niya… Niya was with me,” she thought anxiously.

“Where is she?”

The girl slowly pushed herself into a sitting position. A dull ache throbbed in her head, but the confusion inside her was far worse. Her eyes scanned the room desperately, as if answers might appear on the walls.

That was when she noticed the large mirror standing across from her.

Almost instinctively, she stepped toward it.

And the moment she looked—

She froze.

“Who… who is that?”

The words barely escaped her lips.

The girl in the mirror was stunning. The kind of beauty that demanded attention without trying. Elegant, striking, unreal.

“I wish… I looked like her,” she murmured unconsciously.

Then suddenly, her hand flew to her chest.

“Wait…”

Her heartbeat quickened.

“This face… it feels familiar.”

She leaned closer to the mirror, studying every detail. The eyes. The nose. The lips.

“I’ve seen this face before,” she whispered.

Her mind raced, memories colliding—

And then it hit her.

“No…”

Her eyes widened in horror.

“This is the villain from that novel.”

Her heart pounded violently.

“The Dirty Mafia…”

Her breath caught.

“And this girl…”

Her voice trembled.

“Rose Whitmore.”

Her knees nearly gave out.

“Does that mean… I am Rose?”

She rushed closer to the mirror. Slowly, she raised one hand.

The reflection mirrored her perfectly.

Then the other hand.

Still the same.

There was no doubt left.

“No… no… this can’t be happening!”

Her scream shattered the silence of the room.

“Why me?”

“What did I ever do to deserve this?”

“If I had to be sent somewhere, why here?”

“And why as the villain?”

Her strength gave way. She collapsed onto the bed, burying her face into the pillow as sobs tore through her body. She cried until her chest ached, until exhaustion finally pulled her under.

Hours later…

Reena—now living in Rose Whitmore’s body—slowly regained her composure.

She sat upright, wiped her tears, and took a deep breath.

“Alright,” she whispered to herself.

“If I’ve been given a second life, then I’ll live it on my own terms.”

The weakness in her eyes was gone, replaced by a quiet determination.

“I will not make the same mistakes Rose did.”

Scenes from the novel flooded her mind.

How Rose had crossed every boundary to possess the male lead—Daniel Cross.

How she had tormented the heroine—Soni Hale.

Soni.

Her aunt’s daughter.

After Soni’s parents died in a car accident, she had been adopted by Mrs. Whitmore. Soni was only twelve then. Rose was ten.

She was given a home, but never equal love.

More memories surfaced.

Yesterday.

The bracelet.

The one Rose’s grandfather had given her.

It broke during an argument with Soni.

Anger.

A slap.

Then her mother’s slap.

The harsh words from her three older brothers—Adrian, Lucas, and Ethan.

Accusations.

Blame.

“You’re always the problem.”

“You ruin everything.”

That was the moment Rose had felt truly alone.

And that loneliness had driven her to swallow the sleeping pills.

That was why Reena was here now.

Tears welled up in Reena’s eyes.

“The truth is, Rose was pushed onto the wrong path long before she became a villain,” she thought.

“If someone had understood her in time…”

Her fingers curled into a fist.

“But now…”

“Now the story will change.”

A slow, dangerous smile curved her lips.

“This time…”

“Everyone will learn what Rose Whitmore is truly capable of.”

Rose Sinclair’s RoomRose Sinclair sat on her bed, lost in thoughts that felt too heavy for her small frame.Sometimes she couldn’t help but laugh at herself—how she, of all people, had become a villain-turned-protagonist in a world that wasn’t even hers.“Thank God Grandpa stopped me,” Rose whispered to herself.“Otherwise, I would’ve run away… I’m still new here.”She looked at herself in the mirror. The same face stared back—yet Rose felt like a different person from the inside. There was a coldness in her eyes now, and a strange strength on her lips.Rose smiled at her reflection.“Honestly… the heroine of this story is beautiful. But I’m not far behind.”Her beauty was undeniable—milk-white skin, large light-green eyes, thin lips, a tiny mole on her lower lip, a small nose, and thick black hair falling all the way to her back. Her height was around 5.5 feet.In short, God had made her in a mood of pure mischief. 😉Rose sighed softly.“According to the story, the hero should arri
