CHAPTER 11

“Declan!”

          It was happening again, that terrible nightmare that she couldn't escape from, that came to haunt her when she least expected it. Gemma tossed restlessly about in the bed, tears streaming down her face. There were her parents, laughing together, the sun was shining down on them brightly as the three of them drove down to the coast for the day.

          Her father hadn't seen the man driving at them on the wrong side of the road until it was too late. The screech of brakes was amplified now in her dream, her mother's scream was echoing in her brain. The car rolled over and over again until blackness took over and she woke up screaming.
