CHAPTER SEVEN - THE VIPER ARRIVE

Lydia sat down where he left her on the floor, hot tears burning down her cheeks

“I thought you love only me, why the sudden change?”

“Yes I only love you, I just don't want faith to see us both together”

Faith, who was at the corner, was recording everything.

“but the way you have been looking at her lately, it's unfair to me”

“I will make it up to you, just keep your distance for now, if we are seen together now the plan will fall apart. You know that right?”

He kissed her on the forehead.

The camera captured it, his hand, his voice and the kiss on her forehead. Clean and clear.

She walked out of the scene.

Lydia smiled, “I know you will always choose me.”

Faith stood in the hallway, she brought out her phone, she called someone.

“Hey, there is this photo I will send to you, post it  anonymously, with a nice caption.”

“Okay miss," a voice from the other end.

She hung up immediately.

“This will not just hurt them,it will humiliate them, " she smiled before walking into the class.

She entered, and sat down at her desk, going through her books,when her phone beeped.

She looked at it , a cruel smile on her face before dropping it.

Students started whispering.

“ Who would believe that Cassius and Lydia are together"

“Pair of hypocrites, how could they?"

“Betraying someone who fend and fund their education"

“Warren is perfect for her, not that hypocrite,he made her to knee and kowtow, that wasn't enough, we went ahead to cheat on her with her best friend"

Faith only focuses on her books.

Just then Warren entered, he went to the faith sit.

" You did this right?”

Faith glared at him.

" I know you did it,”

He sighted Cassius and Lydia walking in. " I'm off”

Faith looked up, she brought out an eye drop , she poured it in her eyes, and poured some in her text book.

She started pretending to be hurt.

Cassius entered and an orange was thrown at him ,and eggs followed with dirt.

" You scumbag”

" How could you , bastard”

" I can't believe faith fall for you”

He caught one of the Orange's " what the f**k is going on”

" Bastard!! Check your phone you are all over the blog”

He pulled it out.

His eyes went still.

His heart dropped somewhere he couldn't reached, he dragged his hand over his head, whipped his face breathe- or tried to

Then his gaze met faith.

He pushed through the crowd, passed the stares, passing the flying fruit, until he reached her.

“This is all fake, I didn't do any of that "

Faith was just crying.

“Believe me faith, I didn't do it "

She looked up, eyes red and glassy — perfect, devastating — and let her voice crack right on cue.

“Are you-u-u saying this is fake ,they can fabricate a photo but not a video, your voice was clear, I heard every word."

“If I have done any of that may I die a miserable death"

Then thunder roared across the sky.

He shifted.. fait…

“Don't call my name with those flirty mouths of yours" she yelled.

“I'm sor–

“I said don't touch me " she yanks his hands, like his hands were some kind of dirt.

She stood up .

She walked past the crowd.

She turned to Lydia — one long, slow glare. The kind you don't forget. Then she walked out.

Cassius tried following her ,but was blocked by the classmate.

Faith stepped into the next class, closed the door behind her, and wiped her face clean.

Done.

Like flipping a switch.

She found her seat, smoothed her uniform, and opened her book.

Not a single tremble in her hands.

*Following morning*

Faith stepped out of the car , adjusting her bag in her hands.

She came to shop since it's Saturday.

She had ignored Cassius since yesterday,he even made her off her phone,the calls and the messages were too much.

A woman stepped out of a Mercedes Benz,she put on her sunglasses, her heels sinking into the pavement,tall, elegant ,with perfect shape, her hair falling in waves.

She walked like she owned the entire building.

Faith's smile faded slowly.

I know that walk. That confidence.

The woman turned and their eyes met.

Recognition flashed through the stranger's face , followed by a smile that quite didn't reach her eyes.

“Faith SARTINI", the woman's voice was smooth as silk and just as dangerous.

“I have heard so much about you ,my little sis told me many things"

Something cold moved inside Faith's chest

Sister?

“Yes my sister, " she said with a smile.

“And who is your sister?" .

She smirked “ you will find out soon"

And she left faith standing wondering who she was ,how did she know her.

She quickly caught her " ma'am, please your name?”

" I'm Victoria,”she extended her manicured hands.

Faith did not take it " why are here then”

" I just arrived from Paris” and she walked away again without waiting for faith to ask another question.

“Who is she really?" The question kept replaying in her mind.

The walking steps were familiar but she can't Fathom where she knows her from.

Cassius sat at the beach, faith not taking his calls nor replying to his messages.

He looked like a man who had never been ignored before and did not know what to do with the feelings

“Cassius Devon.”

He looked up.

A stunning woman stood in front of him, the breeze blowing her hair waves in the air. She looked like someone who just stepped out of a Magazine.

“Do I know you?”

“Not yet,” she extended her hand's “I'm Victoria”

“What do I need your name for?”

“Why are you being so harsh? , I'm trying to be nice here”

“What do you want?”

“To help you,” she said simply “ I heard faith left you for warren”

“You were publicly humiliated”

Cassius' jaw dropped.

And that's not all “ yesterday you were caught cheating on her with her best friend”

“Who are you?, and what exactly do you want?”

“You will get to know me as times goes on”

Cassius didn't say a thing.

“I also saw a photo of how faith and warren shared a kiss”

“What!!, that's impossible, faith belong to me and me alone”

Victoria smiled slowly “and you believe that?”

“She is just trying to spite me, that day and more over she already apologize, I know she can't do that”

“You are foolish”

Cassius stood up immediately “ ma'am with all due respect, you can't come and insult me”

Victoria stepped closer “ you think yelling will make things work?” , “calm you nerve man”

“She is just playing games with me–”

Victoria  tilted her head

“No! You're the one being played, and you have been longer to realize”

Cassius said nothing

Victoria picked up her bags and turned to leave.
