Chapter 13

Isabella found herself sleeping in her room, tucked nicely in her own bed when she opened her eyes next time. She slowly got up and looked around the room as the room never looked this gloomy before. She started to panic. In the process of getting down from the bed in a hurry, she fell on the floor. She gasped in pain almost immediately.

The door of her room opened with a thud while she kept trying to get up from the floor. Soon she found a pair of hands helping her to get up. She raised her gazes to find her mother standing there.

“Mm… Mom….” Isabella uttered softly with tears welling up in her eyes.

“Yes, baby. It’s me.” Saanchi smiled gently at her while helping her to get up and sit on the bed.

Isabella’s mind immediately drifted back to the time when she lost her consciousness. She couldn’t remember anything apart from the man showing up out of the blue and pointing a gun towards Oliver.
