LOGINGlacier POV
"I am not your mate, Alpha Glacier. I decide my own fate, and the man I marry will be the man I love. So, leave in peace!"
Those were the words my first mate spoke to me. She threw me away. She turned her back on our bond and chose someone else. In that moment, I realized the mate bond is nothing but trash. Love is a lie. I refused to let the Moon Goddess decide my life ever again.
I whispered to myself, the words tasting like ash in my mouth. "I didn’t know history would repeat itself. I didn’t know fate would try to trap me with a mate the exact same way."
I know there is no future for Corrine and me. Even so, despite my cold walls, I cannot deny this pull. She is my mate. Now, she is chasing me, trying to win a heart I buried deep inside. But if she ever finds out the dark secrets I hide, she will either run away as fast as she can, or she will come at me with a sharp blade, ready to rip my heart out of my chest.
Two days have passed since I told her the truth. Two days since I told her she was my mate, but that Lumi would be the Luna of the pack, pretending to be my partner. I buried myself in pack work. The weight of leading felt heavier than usual. Alpha Drake is getting more stubborn, refusing to work with the Silverstone pack.
Between the Rogues who never stop moving around our borders and Drake’s attitude, responsibilities piled up on my head like a mountain. Still, I watched Corrine from far away. I had to. Her wolf hasn't woken up yet. She is too weak and too thin to protect herself in this cruel world.
Beta Markel’s voice broke through my deep thoughts. "Alpha Glacier, the pack elders have made a choice. They want to offer a Luna from our pack to Alpha Drake. He hasn't found his mate yet, and this might end the fight."
I answered with my jaw tight. "A smart move. Let’s hope Drake accepts. He is a cruel man and he doesn't care how many lives are crushed in a pack war."
Markel looked at me with hesitation. The smell of his worry showed how nervous he was. "Also, Alpha..."
I snapped at him. "What is it?"
"It’s Corrine. Even though she works full-time in the pattern analysis department, you ordered Lumi to watch her training and make it harder. For the past two days, the girl hasn't slept. Her eyes haven't even blinked because she is so tired!"
I nodded my head sharply, and he left quickly. My blood began to boil. I know Lumi well. She wasn't training Corrine. She was trying to break her. She was trying to kill her. How dare she put her hands on something that belongs to me?
I walked toward Lumi’s room. My skin felt like it was on fire with a rage that made my wolf growl inside me. The door was open a little bit. I pushed it open to find Lumi lying on her bed, almost naked. Her legs were spread wide, and her fingers were working fast between her petals, rubbing herself in a rhythm full of pain and lust. She was pleasuring herself, her back arching over the silk sheets.
the moment her eyes landed on me, her moans got louder and more wild. She pressed harder against herself, her face red with a mix of agony and pure pleasure.
She whispered in a shaky, breathless voice. "Ah... Ahhh, Alpha Glacier. Come closer... relieve me."
From one look at her foggy eyes, I knew the truth. She is in heat. Lumi has a strong, wild wolf, and right now, instinct is in total control of her.
I stepped closer. The sight of her, the way her legs were open, and the clear invitation in her eyes, it was intoxicating. A dark and wild hunger lit up in my gut. Without a word, I leaned down. I caught the folds of her heat between my lips. My tongue lashed out, licking and sucking hard as if she were a forbidden treat.
Lumi twisted under me. Her whole body shook, and her muscles jumped with every move of my tongue. She was beautiful in her desperation, a pile of golden skin and sharp screams.
She begged as she threw her head back. "Please, Alpha... put your big cock inside me!"
"Please Glacier... kiss me."
"Harder Alpha! Harder! I'm so close..."
I looked up from her for a second, my tongue dragging over her sensitive skin one last time. She sat up, ripped off her last piece of clothing, and threw it toward the open door. She lunged forward to kiss me, but I pushed her away!
I growled. "I don't like kissing, Lumi!"
She didn't care. She reached down until she felt the heavy, throbbing bulge of my cock under my pants. It was swollen and hard, and I couldn't stop it. She began to stroke it, her movements slow and on purpose. She took my hands and put them on her full, swollen breasts.
I threw her back onto the bed. She let out a sharp cry of pleasure as I leaned down again, trapping her legs and burying my face in her heat. My tongue played with her, drowning in her scent and her warmth.
I could feel her body heat rising, and her hand was trying to slip into my pants. Everything was a blur of friction and desire. I completely forgot why I came here. My wolf was wild, driven by the madness of the mate bond with Corrine that I was trying to ignore. And seeing Lumi like this, I couldn't stop myself.
But suddenly, the world stopped.
A whispered voice drifted through the air, cutting through the sounds of lust.
"Glacier...?"
My heart stopped beating. The door was open. I looked toward the door and saw her. Corrine. She was standing there like a ghost, her small body shaking. She saw everything. Me, her Alpha, her mate, buried between another woman's legs, with Lumi, eating her alive. Heavy, silent tears were already filling her eyes, carving paths down her pale, tired face.
The shock on her face felt like a physical punch to my chest. It looked like her entire world had fallen apart. I watched her memorize the scene. The ugliness, the betrayal, the man she thought was her destiny acting like a wild animal with the woman who made her life a living hell.
Her pale lips trembled. She tried to say my name again, but it came out as a gasp. She took a step back, and her heel hit the door frame with a sound that rang in my ears like a death bell. She wiped her eyes with a violent, shaking hand. She didn't want her vision to be blurry.
She wanted to see me clearly. The Alpha who called her a child while he lost himself in the arms of a woman he claimed meant nothing to him.
"Corrine..." I growled her name as I stood up quickly from the bed. I tried to pull the mask of coldness back onto my face.
She looked at me, and for the first time, there was no love in those eyes. No longing. Only a white-hot coal of hatred and wounded pride.
"So... this is the duty you were talking about?" she whispered, her voice sounding like gravel. Her body began to stiffen, and her back straightened.
She let out a short, bitter laugh. It was a sound of pure, raw hurt. "I was so stupid. I thought that behind your silence and your cruelty was a heart trying to protect me. But you are just a liar, Glacier. You aren't a great Alpha. You are just a slave to your instincts."
She glanced at Lumi, who was purring like a cat, a victory smile shining on her lips as she pretended to cover herself playfully. Then Corrine’s eyes dug back into mine.
"You told me you didn't believe in love. That your heart doesn't beat for anyone."
She took a step toward me. Even though she was half my size, her aura suddenly glowed, making her look like the most powerful person in the room. "I believe you now. I believe that you aren't even worth being a memory."
"I promise you one thing, Glacier..." She pointed her finger at my chest, her eyes shining with a scary, unknown light.
"Those two months? The time I promised to make you crawl? It starts now. But I won't do it to win your heart. I will do it to watch you break. I want to see that look in your eyes as I leave this pack and stomp on whatever is left of your pride."
Corinne POVThe following days were painful. I felt something tearing inside me slowly. The energy Glacier talked about became clearer now, sometimes burning my bones and waking me up in the middle of the night gasping like something was trying to break out from under my skin. Glacier stayed close to me all the time. Sometimes he placed his hand on my chest and calmed the energy with his low voice, but he always insisted that the only solution was to return to the pack.On the fourth evening, I gathered my courage and called my mother Vanessa, asking her to meet at the family house. I told her it was very important. When Glacier and I arrived, Vanessa was waiting in the living room, her face pale and her eyes full of worry. A few minutes later, Lucas walked in carrying the twins, sweaty after his training. We all sat together. Glacier held my hand under the table, giving me the silent strength I needed.I took a deep breath and spoke.Mom Dad I made a big decisionVanessa looked at me
Corinne POVI stood in front of him, the red towel still wrapped tightly and loosely around my body at the same time, as if it was the only thing stopping me from completely falling apart. Glaciers’ breath still brushed my lips, and his last words kept echoing in my mind: “If I lose control of you just once… I will never be a man again.”I could still feel the heat of his body reaching me even with the small distance between us. His hands were still on my shoulders, not pressing, just holding. Like I was something fragile that could break at any moment. I looked into his eyes with love.“Glacier…” I whispered weakly, “what do you mean by all this? You talk like you are… not human… you were not normal yesterday. Didn’t you tell me that werewolves are humans too?”He pulled back slightly, but his hands didn’t leave me. He took a deep breath, like he was gathering the strength to say something that couldn’t be taken back. Then he slowly raised his right hand and placed it on my chest, ri
Corinne POVYesterday ended with difficulty after I found out they were men sent by Edric’s father. I went into the bathroom. Light steam fogged the mirror, and warm water ran over my shoulders while my mind drifted back against my will to last night.I saw it clearly in my memory. How Glacier charged at the armed men. How fast he moved. How he took them down one by one without giving a single bullet a chance to reach me. He didn’t hesitate. He didn’t step back. It was as if even death was afraid of him.I lifted my hand to my chest, my heart racing as I whispered in a barely audible voice"Who are you?"I turned off the water slowly, grabbed my red towel, and wrapped it tightly around my body. Then I opened the bathroom door, still lost between shock, fear, and something else I didn’t dare to name. But the moment I took one step outside, I froze.Glacier was there. He was standing in front of a family photo of me placed on the dresser. His broad back was turned, his shoulders tense,
Corinne POVThree months laterI lifted my hand to my head, breathing in confusion, then turned toward Vanessa with lost eyes and asked in a soft voice, as if I was afraid of the answer, “Mom… where is my room?”Everyone froze for a moment. Vanessa quickly hid the tremble in her heart with a calm smile. She stepped closer, placed her hands on my shoulders, and said in a warm tone hiding something bitter, “Your room is over there, my love… I’ll show you. The surgery must have made you forget a few small details. Don’t worry.”I nodded slowly, but inside I felt an empty space, like something had been ripped from my memory. I whispered barely loud enough to hear, “Everything feels familiar… but I can’t remember it.”Behind me, Vanessa looked at me with teary eyes and whispered, “I wish memory could forget everything between you and Glacier.”---It was past midnight when I quietly slipped out of my room. I stood outside the house, took a deep breath, and raised my hand to stop a passing
Glacier POVThe room was filled only with the sound of the breathing machines keeping Corinne alive. The faint hospital lights reflected on her pale face, as if she was stuck between two worlds. One trying to take her away, and the other begging her to stay. I stood there watching her in silence that tore my chest apart, and I whispered bitterly to myself, “I won’t let you leave… not now… not when you’re mine.”Vanessa sat exhausted, her head resting on Corinne’s legs, as if she was trying to steal warmth from a body that had already gone cold. Her hair slipped over her hand like she was afraid that if she looked away, her daughter would disappear. I watched her for a moment and let out a faint, cold smile. “Even you are scared of losing her… but you don’t know you’re the one who pushed her to the edge.”I stepped toward her carefully, sat beside her, and reached out to touch Corinne’s cold cheek. My voice came low, trembling with hidden pain. “You have no idea how much I missed heari
Vanessa POVAfter our huge fight about Glacier and my refusal for her to stay with him, Corinne was in a terrible state. Her breathing was fast, her hands shaking on the steering wheel, and tears were blurring her vision. The road looked foggy, and the streetlights swayed like they were melting in her eyes.Suddenly, she felt a strange heat in her face. She touched her nose in confusion… and found her fingertips stained with blood. She looked at the mirror, her eyes widening in fear. A thin red line was flowing from her nose, slowly sliding down toward her trembling lips. She whispered in a broken voice, “Damn it… what is happening to you?”She tried to wipe the blood with shaking hands, but the dizziness got worse. It felt like her head was splitting in two, and her heartbeat grew so loud it sounded like drums in her ears. Her foot slipped off the gas pedal without her realizing it, and the car began to drift to the right. She grabbed the steering wheel with all her strength, trying
Aldric POV"Alpha Glacier will arrive in three days."I nodded. My face stayed cold and still, my voice tight with control when I said,"I understand."I kept walking toward the training ground. The one place I go when the pressure in my chest grows too tight. The only place that lets me release wh
