“I want to break every law that keeps me away from you tonight, even if the price is my soul.”
That was how it began.
Not a voice, but a restrained roar that tore through Glacier’s throat as he stormed into my room. His gray eyes had turned pitch black, with no trace left of the calm man who had driven me home that morning.
I stumbled back in shock until my spine hit the edge of the bed. He ripped off his dark coat with a savage motion and threw it to the floor. Our eyes met, and my heart shook hard in my chest.
“Glacier… you’re drunk, the smell of alcohol…”
“It’s not the alcohol that made me lose my mind, Corinne!”
He shouted as he closed in on me, trapping my thin body between his steel arms.
“It’s your damn scent!”
Before I could answer, he crashed his mouth into mine with a wildness I had never seen before. It was not a kiss asking for permission. It was an invasion. He devoured my lips with brutal hunger, sucking on my tongue with skill that stole the air from my lungs.
I tried to push his broad chest with my shaking hands, but he caught my wrists roughly and pinned them above my head with his left hand. His right hand fumbled with his tie, yanking it loose as if he were choking, then throwing it away like a declaration.
“Ah… Glacier…”
My moan tore out of me when he shoved me down onto the sheets. His massive body followed, crushing my slender limbs beneath him. He gave me no time to think. He buried his face into the hollow of my neck, breathing me in like a madman before his teeth began to tease my pale skin.
I felt his tongue drag hot along my collarbone, licking and sucking until he left a deep purple mark there, loud and possessive. His hard erection strained beneath his pants, pressing against my wet femininity, soaked by the heat cycle, making my body jolt with a desire I had never known before.
“Stop…” I whispered, lost, even as my hands clenched into his short hair, pulling him closer.
“You’re my father’s friend… this is wrong…”
“To hell with all the laws!”
He breathed harshly into my ear, his ragged breaths sending endless shivers down my spine.
“This white skin of yours is begging for my touch… say you don’t want me, and I’ll burn this whole place down with everyone inside!”
His hand slid under my loose shirt, gripping my waist greedily, while his mouth claimed mine again in a deeper kiss, wet and heavy with raw need.
Three years passed like a lifetime of isolation. Three years since my mother decided to exile me here, to the Silver Stone pack. She said she wanted me to learn how to be a wolf, but I knew the truth. I was a mistake. A hybrid she could not bear to keep.
I am just a hybrid. No one in this world loves me.
I stood in front of the mirror, adjusting my loose cotton shirt. My thin body, narrow shoulders, and delicate limbs made me look like a paper girl among wolves built of steel.
I touched my pale skin and traced my fingers over the faded scars on my arm.
“Hybrid.”
The word followed me everywhere. A stain that made me avoid eye contact, keeping my gaze on the ground as I waited for my eighteenth birthday. My great escape.
“Are you going to stand there all day?”
My blood froze at the sound of that deep, smooth voice. Glacier. My father’s friend. The Alpha of this pack. The man I fell in love with at first sight. The only one.
I went down the stairs and found him standing by the car door. His towering height dominated everything around him. He did not smile. He did not greet me. He only looked at me with those sharp gray eyes that made me feel completely exposed.
I got into the car beside him. My heart pounded violently. I loved him so much. I did not know why, but he was the only man I wanted, even though I knew he saw me as his friend’s daughter. A responsibility. He acted cold, as if he had forgotten what happened last night.
Did he really not remember the kiss, his words, the way he touched me? Maybe he thought I was someone else while he was drunk. And I, like an idiot, stood there waiting for him to admit that he felt something for me.
“You’re late for school, Corinne.”
He said my name with a rough husk that sent a shiver through me.
“Sorry. I lost track of time,” I whispered, looking away.
He asked flatly while driving, fully focused, “I heard about the school party. Are you going?”
Before I could answer, the car stopped suddenly with a hard brake. My phone slipped from my hand and landed right between his legs.
Alpha Glacier was hard.
Painfully hard. The bulge was impossible to miss, stretching the dark denim of his jeans.
Wetness flooded my underwear, and a small gasp escaped my lips before I could stop it.
Oh God… even through the jeans, I could tell how big he was. My body trembled hard. I wanted to touch him. To take him into my mouth, just like I had heard other girls talk about. How much trouble would I be in if I did?
Keeping my face carefully blank, I looked up at him. Just as I expected, his gray blue eyes were burning with anger. He stared at me for five full seconds, like he wanted to say something. No words came.
I held my breath. I reached out with trembling fingers to grab my phone. My fingertips brushed the rough fabric of his pants by accident. I felt the hard muscle of his thigh tense under my touch, and I heard a muffled breath leave his chest.
My face burned. I grabbed my phone quickly and leaned back in my seat.
It was like I was a magnet, always pulling Alpha Glacier’s irritation toward me. He tried to ignore it.
We reached the school gate. Lumi appeared out of nowhere, swaying in her tight clothes as she walked up to Glacier’s window, flirting openly.
“Good morning, Alpha. Did you drop off the little one?”
She said it with mockery, shooting me a deadly look.
I took a calming breath while Lumi kept talking to Alpha Glacier. She was not here for me. Thank God. Logically, she would not bully me openly, not in front of him.
My thoughts stopped when she grabbed him and kissed him right in front of me, letting out a soft moan and a playful laugh.
Glacier’s back went rigid. He did not respond.
My chest tightened. Could he have found a Luna for his pack? Would it be Lumi? That arrogant bitch?
No. I wanted to leave. Desperately. But my feet would not move.
For some reason, they were glued to the ground.
When Alpha Glacier did not push her away, something hard twisted inside my chest. I finally moved. I grabbed my bag and pushed the door open, stumbling as tears spilled down my face.
I got out of the car fast. I could not stand her looks or his silence. Lumi followed me and started her daily bullying, but my mind was far away.
Laughter exploded around me.
Lumi’s familiar voice rang out, loud enough for everyone to hear. “Oops.”
I lifted my head and saw her fake sweet smile. She had tripped me on purpose.
“Watch your step, hybrid.”
Her words burned, but I said nothing. I just gathered my things.
She leaned closer and whispered so only I could hear. “Stay away from Glacier.”
Then, louder for everyone, she mocked, “You’re pathetic, you half breed whore.”
Someone shoved me from behind. I stood up, limping slightly, and walked away without a word. Fighting back only made it worse.
I entered the classroom and took a seat in the corner, trying to disappear. When I slid into my chair for the first period, my hands were still shaking.
“Hello,” a deep voice whispered.
I turned and almost fell off the chair.
Mason Carter.
Why the hell was the son of the Alpha of Brown Stone pack sitting next to me?
“I’m sorry,” I blurted out fast, in case I had offended him without knowing.
His brows furrowed. I dropped my gaze to the desk. Maybe if I stayed quiet, he would leave me alone.
I was wrong. He leaned closer.
“Your heat scent is affecting everyone.”
My heart skipped a beat. I scanned the room.
“No one is looking at me.”
“Only Betas and Alphas can smell it. It’s light for the rest, but strong enough to stir tension. The Alpha thinks the best solution right now is to mark you.”
His eyes were a beautiful gold.
“No, thank you.”
I hugged my bag to my chest, my heart racing. Inside, something hot and angry stirred.
I was not a she wolf for them to mark whenever they wanted. I was not something they could use freely.
Suddenly, his followers growled behind him, trying to scare me. Something strange moved inside me. I wanted to scream at them. To tear them apart. Then I remembered who I was. I stepped back, lowered my head, and pretended to be weak like always.
“Did you just refuse our Alpha?”
One of them shouted from my right. I trembled.
Moon Goddess… I tried to be polite.
I expected the worst, but Mason only told him to shut up. When he grabbed my chin, I could not move.
“I need to know why you refused.”
My throat worked as I lifted my eyes to meet his.
That was my biggest mistake.
Mason stared at me closely. His golden pupils tightened, then relaxed.
“Interesting. Does Alpha Glacier know how badly you want his cock?”
He said it, waiting for my answer.
The words struck like lightning.
My little secret was naked in front of a stranger, just like my soul was naked in front of Glacier’s coldness.
Aldric POV"Alpha Glacier will arrive in three days."I nodded. My face stayed cold and still, my voice tight with control when I said,"I understand."I kept walking toward the training ground. The one place I go when the pressure in my chest grows too tight. The only place that lets me release what builds inside my head.I pulled my belt tighter until the leather scraped against my palm, then spoke in a hard tone that left no room for debate."Reinforce the borders. Keep the guards on full alert. Send trackers to check the southern trails. If they notice anything suspicious, I want to know immediately."Ryan nodded, but his voice came out rough when he spoke."Alpha... what if his sister never wakes up?"I stopped mid step.Silence fell over the yard for a moment.I lifted my gaze toward the warriors training in the field. Bodies crashing together. Boots pounding the dirt. Dust rising with every movement.I raised my finger and pointed at the strongest among them. The fighter everyo
Aldric POVDawn was just starting to creep in when I raised my hand and gestured firmly to Beta Ryan. My voice came out low as I looked at the Beta standing near the door."Leave now, Ryan."The Beta hesitated for a second. I saw him glance at me before turning and walking out in silence. I let out a slow breath from my chest, feeling the cold morning air brush against my bare skin. Then I headed toward the bathroom. But the moment I got close to the door, I suddenly stopped.Something hit my senses.I slowly lifted my head. My nostrils flared as I breathed in deeply. A faint scent drifted through the air. Warm. Different.I turned my face toward the bed.The scent was coming from Corinne.I stepped back from the door, then slowly walked toward the bed where Corinne was sleeping beside Yosi. Her chest rose and fell slowly with her steady breathing, but the scent grew stronger the closer I got.My brows pulled together slightly.I reached out and gently shook her shoulder. She stirred
Glasier POVA few days ago...I was running my fingers through her soft hair, yet my chest felt tight with a strange fear I could not shake. My voice came out rough, heavy with worry as I asked her,"Corinne... tell me something. One day, if you ever feel scared... if you feel threatened and want to run away from me... where would you go?"I studied her face carefully. She went silent. Her eyes widened in surprise, the words freezing on her lips. But I needed the answer. I was thirsty for it.For the thousandth time, I searched for something certain. Something that could calm the fire of fear burning inside me. I wanted a promise. A real one. Something strong enough to gather the broken pieces of my heart that trembled before a future I could not control.I asked again. She kept staring into my eyes, then finally spoke with confusion in her voice."What is wrong with you, Glasier? You are always afraid. Why would I run away from you?"Cold spread slowly through my fingers as I insiste
Glacir POVSilence filled the room. Then Mason’s sharp voice tore through it as he stepped into my path."Stop, Glacir. Going to the Shadow Claw pack will only bring total destruction!"My blood started to boil. I clenched my fists so hard the tips of my fingers turned white, the veins in my hands rising like snakes twisting around my forearms. I stepped closer, my eyes burning with fury, and my voice came out low and rough from deep in my throat."You bastard, Mason Carter. Because of you and that filthy bitch Lomi, my sister Yusi and my mate Corin are now in their hands!"Mason did not step back. Instead, he held my gaze with a provoking calm."Do not forget. You were the one who forced Corin to leave. Your own actions made her run away from you."Bitterness filled my mouth. My chest tightened as if the walls of the room were slowly closing in on me. I shouted at him, spit flying with my rage."I was going to fix everything. I would have made her forgive me. I would have made her ac
