I pushed back gently, breathing heavily as I struggled to maintain control. "I am sorry," I said, my voice trembling. "I need some time to think. Please, just leave." William didn’t mind, a satisfied grin on his face and put on his clothes to leave, but before jumping out the window, he turned back to me one last time. "I will give you some time to think." I took one last glance out the window and saw William walking away in the distance. “I know that you would wait for me, William,” I whispered to him.
