William's POV

“I’ve noticed Ava has felt out of place during many of our voyages,” Thomas told me with a worried expression.

“Yes, I did notice that too,” I replied. “But I'm really trying my best to protect her and help her settle in.”

I paused, then continued, “Even though she’s out of her element, she’s always eager to learn and try new things. I can tell she’s a natural explorer, and I really admire her courage and determination.”

Thomas nodded. “True. Even when we went on the journey to that isolated island. It was a stunning place, with white sand beaches and crystal but we soon found out it was also home to a group of hostile natives. They didn't like visitors much.”

I smiled. “Yeah, I could tell Ava was feeling nervous and scared, and I did my best to reassure her. She was still eager to explore though.”

I added, “The natives were closing in on us, and it was clear that we needed to make a run for it. So I grabbed Ava's hand and led her into the jungle.”

Thomas laughed.
