Quinn POV

“As I am sure you are aware, the warriors are on a rotating shift for border patrol.”

I nodded in response looking around the wooded area. It was so peaceful out here.

“What makes us different from other packs, is we make sure that we have a variety of supernatural beings on a shift.” Derek further explained.

That made sense especially after seeing all the different kinds of shifters and hybrids there were at school.

“If you are in charge of training the warriors, how do you help the people who are different from you?” I asked curiously.

He stopped in his tracks and looked at me. “Like any teacher, you become accustomed to how your students learn. Everyone learns differently. I have a select group who help their own with certain abilities. But over all my job is to teach how we can all work cohesively. We don’t want a repeat of the past.” He looked away at the forest.
