I stormed out of the room angrily and headed towards the principal's office to drop the complaint, but the hell?????

”We are sorry to inform you, Miss Jordan, the rooms are filled up and you have to manage till maybe the next semester. I promise this will be sorted out," the acting principal said.

I thought they were better than this.

I furiously turned on my heels, and I walked away.

I kept on walking angrily and didn't notice I had hit someone's book down.

Shit!

“I’m so sorry," I said as I bent to pick up his books.

He just smiled as I handed it over to him.

His perfectly white teeth showed his beauty; golden hair and chest-brown hair I admired.

"Thanks," he whispered and left.

“You’re welcome,” I said.

“You know, you shouldn't get entangled in stuff like that," I heard a familiar high-pitched voice.

"Rachel!" I turned in amusement and yelled.

“Fuck, where have you been, Rachel?” I laughed.

“Well, waiting for you." She smiled.

She still looked the same, with no changes except in her weight.

“You look good?” I said what was supposed to be a statement went off as a question.

“Yeah, you haven't changed a bit," she whispered.

"Don't," I muttered.

“At least you'll be free from their chains this semester."

“Except Taylor and Tyler attend here," I shrug.

“Yeah, that's true,” Rachel sighed.

"Anywaaaays, I've missed you so much, Jordan. Come on, I want to show you around, oh! Where's your dorm?”

The hallway buzzed with noise, but none of it mattered.

I leaned against the locker, flipping lazily through my phone, half-listening to whatever nonsense Damien was saying beside me.

“Bro, are you even listening?” he asked.

“No,” I replied flatly.

“Fuck, c'mon dude… it's fucking last year in high school before college!!” he yelled.

"Yeah, Alex, where's the spirit?” Darren smirked beside him.

I sighed as I strolled into the elevator going to our lounge.

They kept blabbing in utter disgust.

“I got paired with an unknown bitch as a roommate," I spoke, and everywhere went silent, but then they burst into laughter.

“I knew you guys were stupid," I scoffed.

“Dude, how?! Because this school's got like three huge hostels, and you say the rooms are occupied," Damien laughed.

“We were both given the key to room 500, doof; that's the last room of the last hostel," I gnarled.

He immediately knew I was serious. “This semester just got more interesting…Oh yeeeahhhh." Darren screamed.

I shook my head as I took a yogurt from the freezer; the school always made sure to stock it with food.

"Ohh…it means the students this year are many; everyone's coming from vacation, you know that, and maybe you guys booked late," Darren shrugs.

“Alsooo… Guess who's coming too? Betty the bean," Damien laughed.

”Who’s Betty again?" I asked, trying to ransack my head.

"Dude, do you just fuck a girl and forget? "Your fucking a sex doll last semester," Damien yelled.

“Oh,” I muttered.

“Oh???,” they both asked at the same time.

”Look, I have one issue on the ground, idiot; this girl has to get out of my spot. I'm not sleeping in the lounge. I want my room, and that's final," I spoke.

“Is she hot?” Darren whispered sexily, dancing like a stripper.

We laughed.

“Nahhh, she isn't? Wears baggy around, got a nice round ass though," I smirked.

“Name?” Darren asked, trying to search her up on the school status as he pulled out his phone.

“She looks casual, nothing cool or interesting…doesn't look like an elite," I said and walked out as I heard the bell for class.

But something about her kept tugging at the back of my mind.

Room 500.

JORDAN'S POV

“Wait, a guy? Have you talked with the principal?”

“Yes, Rachel...I have."

“And he's even more arrogant," I scoffed.

"Look... we'll talk later; for now, see you after class. I still haven't briefed you about the school." We hugged each other, refusing to let go.

Eventually, we did as I ran off to my class.

I entered the class, with Grade 12A boldly written at the top. As soon as I entered the class, the stares from this morning began.

"Ohh...the new girl." A guy whistled. I didn't have the time for any of their shitty tricks, walking up with a straight face and a confident back. I looked for my seat, which was supposed to be number 48.

Walking up to 48 with the stares continuing, I met with Mr. Arrogant again.

My chest bubbled with anger.

“You’re actually stalking me!” I yelled.

He raised a brow in annoyance and pure disgust.

“Get out," I said, and the class "ohhhed."

He smirked and stood up. "You've never heard of me, obviously," he said with an icy calm and cold eyes.

I pursed my lips, putting my hands on my waist. I looked into his face. “Tell me, who do you think you are? ”I shot back disgustingly.

He didn't reply but only said back in nonchalance.

I stood like a fool, angry and livid—then did the only thing that came to my head.

I pushed him off the chair as he fell to the floor. He didn't expect it.

"Noooooo." The class echoed.

I closed the door as it banged, its echo leaving a hollow feeling. My heart thudded erratically against my chest as I stared at the letter in my hands. What exactly was inside? And who had sent it to me? Why?Questions filled my head from different angles. I've heard of cases where girls receive an anonymous letter telling them lies and secretly kidnapping them if they happen to fall for the trap.I held the envelope, which suddenly felt heavier than before. But of course, how else was I supposed to know if I didn't open it?I tore the letter open, and a white paper wrapped and tied with a blue silk ribbon sat inside the mail.Clean. Untouched.LEA was boldly written with their symbol at the side [an eagle stretched out, ready to fly].No way. I whispered in my head. I hit my face twice to make sure it wasn't one of my numerous dreams. But the letter still lay cold in my hands; my fingers tightened around it, and I did the only thing I could.I laughed, but then it broke into somethin
