RAE clenched his jaw, feeling like he had just come face to face with the devil. He looked around the room before his eyes landed back on Kronos who was sitting there with a menacing aura and grin. He was like medusa, one look at him and you'll turn into stone. He stepped back while still eyeing him. "Where is she?" he asked and received silence. He was about to leave the room but it automatically shuts in front of his face. He cursed under his breath before trying to unlock it but was unsuccessful. He turned back around and found Kronos towering over him, only inches away. "Who sent you here? Did Chloe send you? Why would you betray us?" Before Rae could escape him, he suddenly grabbed him by the neck and lifted him up. He struggled to breathe but can still utter his answer. "The elites are sick, and so are you," he managed to whisper. "You're really here to side with Dianne?!" Kronos slammed him against the door. His face was turning pale as oxygen was running low. "Answer me!" K
SILVESTER was confused by everything that had happened. He's been through a lot of things and is now 11,310 km away from home. He feels sick to the stomach, worried about what might happen to Dianne. He misses her very much. "Here," the woman uttered and he looked up and saw her holding clothes. "It's not much but you can wear that," she uttered and he nodded his head."Do you know how I can leave this place?" He grabbed the cleaned clothes and bowed his head. She sighed before pointing at the window. He looked outside and saw a river. "You'll need to ride a boat for a few hours before riding an airplane to Manila," she explained. He's not that good at geography but he believes that Manila is the capital of the Philippines. He doesn't even have an identification card or passport so he has no idea how to get back. He sighed in exhaustion before putting on the clothes given to him. It was simple pants and a shirt that he gladly took since he was soaking wet from the rain last night.
CHLOE threw the glass of wine she was holding and screamed, "Where is he?!" She had a gut feeling something was wrong so instead of heading straight to the airport, she came running to this village. Her gut was right, Silvester was being mischievous and stubborn. A man in a black suit bowed. "Ms. Eva is on her way to fetch him." This is driving her nuts. She clenched her fist before exhaling deeply. Things have been hectic, and if the syndicate gets here in time, it'll be inconvenient. She doesn't know what they're planning or doing, but she knows they won't sit back and not do anything about the situation. What can she do to stop all this…? "How can someone get amnesia?" she asked herself before looking around the sky. On second thought, that would also be inconvenient and might accidentally get the person killed. ON THE flowing river, he was struggling to keep the boat afloat as the water was too strong for it to handle. The night sky was darker than earlier so he was having tr
DIANNE was sleeping on the plane and she was shivering from the cold. Kronos noticed her state and walked around their private plane. The stewardess approached him and asked if he needed anything. "Ah… can I have a blanket? My fiancee is cold." He pointed at Dianne who was shivering while asleep. The woman smiled before nodding her head and bowing. She went to get a blanket and gave it to him. He thanked her before walking to Dianne and wrapping her with it. He sighed before sitting down next to her. "What's so special about my brother, hmm?" he whispered while examining her features. She has been stressed for some time and he can see noticeable eye bags under her eyes that are covered by her concealer. He lifted his hand and rubbed them against each other before he held her hand. "I… I'm always here for you," he whispered before moving away the hair blocking her pretty face. "No matter what," he added with a smile before repeating to rub his hands together before holding hers. H
Once Rae returned to the helicopter, Chloe waved goodbye with a devious smile. Once he was strapped, it immediately flew off that he thought he would've fallen off the helicopter. "They got him but Chloe's men are chasing them," Harrison uttered and he nodded his head. "We might get cornered, but we'll be able to hold up." They're still in the air while listening to Dianne which makes them anxious as to the possibilities. They need to kill time in order to get there. A helicopter is faster than a car and the weather is already clear. The sky seemed to be in their favor. Maybe the Gods did hear their pleas. The birds are chirping in the morning sun while the waves of the river are flowing smoothly. Of course, everything they can hear is only the loud sound of the rotor blade that's going to make their ears die if they don't have the headsets on. Harrison clicked a button to talk to Rae. "Are you certain you're not just toying with us?" he asked while looking intensely at the man in
THE SOLDIER returned from battle and told the news to Chloe who was sitting on the chair with no emotions shown on her face. She was silent and so is everything and everybody around her. She returned to her house and when she heard the news, the soldier was afraid of what her reaction might be. Instead, she was just listening. "Is that it?" she questioned while eyeing the soldier up and down and he nodded as he held his shoulder. He was bleeding profusely. "Y-yes, ma'am. Ms. Eva has decided to flee with them," he answered while his head bowed down. "Then why didn't you stop them?" Her eyebrows raised before drinking another glass of red wine. The man gulped and nervousness crept in. "They outnumbered me," he answered honestly and her lips raised. "You should've died in battle than return empty-handed," she said before putting the wine glass down. Grabbing a button from her drawer, she pointed it to the man. He went to his knees and pleaded to let him live. "Please, let me
Dianne decided not to come with Kronos returning home but instead, decided to walk by herself to get her mind off things. Her feelings are valid, she doesn't want to have the same pain as before. But Kronos made a point when he said, "But you'll regret not spending time with him when he's dead! He'll die with the memory of his daughter hating him and you'll live by the memory of neglecting to spend time with your father!" His point is stuck inside her mind. She breathed heavily before sighing. The cold wind is sending shivers down her spine as she walks with only a dress on. The night was turning darker which didn't help her. It was turning freezing cold but as stubborn as she is, she continued walking. Snow season is coming back again which she enjoyed when she was younger but it turned out to be a pain in the ass after growing out of that phase. She stopped when she saw white snow coming from above. She admired it and stayed there for a few minutes while hugging herself.
IN ONE of the syndicate offices, Kronos was in front of his father but his mind was out of the situation. He needed to focus yet his mind was focused elsewhere. He was worried for her, she wasn't picking up any of his calls. "Do you understand?" His father asked and he looked up with a confused look. He tried remembering what he had said. "Yes," he simply uttered without knowledge of what it was. "When will you be able to marry her?" His focus suddenly turned to his father after what he had mentioned. "I'm unsure." He looked at the time before standing up to leave, not wanting to continue the conversation anymore. He walked to the door before his father uttered, "Are you catching feelings for her?" He clenched his jaw before smiling to himself and nodding slightly. His father smiled before walking up to him and patting his son's back. "That's better. It'll be better for our family and your happiness." His father's words were daggers through his heart. This was the first time he wa
