First call

"First things first, " he whispered immediately he walked in and pulled out his iPad, and placed a call across to Emma.

He slipped the iPad into the keyboard jacket and gently placed it on the dressing table as he began to put his thing away waiting for Emma to answer the call.

"I was starting to think you already forgot about me " She voiced immediately she picked up the call and he turned to face the phone immediately.

"Aww, it's nice to see your face after almost twenty-four hours " he cooed as he moved closer to the camera.

"Oh, My God !" She suddenly exclaimed.

"What is it ?!"

"Move away from my view please " she snapped 

"Is this your room?" she whispered and he busted out laughing.

"It is, " he replied and picked up the iPad to show her around.

"The main house is even bigger " he added as he walked back to the dressing table and placed the iPad like it was before.

"Wow that's so nice, this house is big enough that you and Belle don't have to run into each other," she said and he smiled.

"Apparently " he replied 

"And I have a gatekeeper too " he added immediately, 

"Ohh" she whispered.

"Seriously I miss you already,  work is so boring without you," she said.

"I'm beginning to feel bored already also," he replied with a small smile as he took off his shirt.

"But you have new friends already," she imputed, scrunching up her nose

"Is that jealousy I sense there?" he said and laughed 

"I'm here for work only alright, not for unnecessary friendships"

"Besides the house is too big we might not even run into each other as said!"

"You don't have to worry about your only friend getting other friends, I just want to concentrate on why I'm here and leave as soon as possible!" He added.

"You're not my only friend!" She protested.

"Who else is ?!" He asked.

"I have, Humm ..." She trailed off and he busted out laughing.

"Yeah maybe you're right I need to work on my social life " she murmured

"Alright then, I need to go now I have work!" She said,

"Good Luck on your mission Bes and have fun!"

"But don't have too much fun without me " she added

"Sure thing Babes " he replied and ended the call.

He stood for a while staring at the screen of his iPad for a while, its screen saver was a picture he and Emma had taken some time ago before he finally continued putting his clothes away.

Later in the day ...

Immediately Jasper was done unpacking; he walked towards his bag and carefully searched for the flash drive officer Abani gave him.

The last two days were kind of overwhelming for him having to prepare for his flight, coming here, and all, and didn't have the time to look through the files.

He picked up his Macbook and walked into the adjoining room inside his bedroom. It was a small but comfortable room built like a study.

The Agents had made sure everything he needed was safely stashed there including weapons if he needed them.

He placed the MacBook carefully on the table and took his seat also, he connected the flash drive to the computer and began to look through what this case really entailed and what he just signed up for.

In terrorizing and no one had any idea if it was a male or a female.

Or if it's just a one-person thing or it's a group.

Everyone has concluded it's a group effort thing, only one person can't pull this off and keep on getting away with it for such a long time.

And Jasper couldn't help but wonder what the Sioux Falls detectives have been doing all the while?!, The only thing they knew was the assassin was a female.

The file also contained a list of families and houses this assassin had attacked.

"This should be my first call," he mumbled.

He just wanted to rest today, he was quite tired from the whole journey back to back. He hasn't had enough bed rest for the past two days

And he wanted to make up for it now before he started any form of investigation.

Immediately he was done looking through all that was in the flash. He slowly removed the drive, placed it in his drawer, turned off the MacBook, left it on the table, and walked out of the study, closing the door firmly.

Later in the day...

7:00 pm...

Jasper heard a gentle knock on his door and he stood up from where he sat he walked towards the door and opened it.

"You've been upstairs for quite a long time won't you like to come down for a bit," Belle said to him.

He let go of the doorknob and placed his hands in his pocket, leaning slightly on the door frame, he stared at her wondering why she was so concerned he didn't come down that she had to come to confront him about it.

As far as he was concerned she was supposed to mind her business and even have no issue whether or not he came downstairs.

"No thank you," he said shortly and dismissively but still didn't move away, she was still standing there staring at him and it would be quite rude of him to slam the door in her face, even if he had planned to only concentrate on why he was here he didn't want to pass off as rude.

"Hum -hum, I was expecting you to come down for Lunch"

"But I already reheated it for dinner. Would you like to come down for it now?!" She finally said.

"Sure once I'm ready " he replied standing straight "

"O-okay" 

He still stood at the entrance as he watched her turn around, immediately she was out of sight he moved back in and slammed the door shut.
