Leaving...

Later at 12:30 pm...

"Why does this look like a birthday get-together instead of a wedding" Jasper whispered immediately as he walked into belle's family's house.

"Because some people aren't as rich as you are" she replied.

"Please play it cool" Emma whispered to the both of them.

"I see you're here, after bailing out on your sister's wedding eve," An older wam said as she walked up to them, and Belle moved forward immediately to meet her.

"Now you come in like a guest all glammed up?!"

"Good Afternoon Mom" she replied instead.

"And what's good about this afternoon " her Mom snapped immediately.

"Mom please can we not do this now, I was unavoidably absent " she replied.

"Good Afternoon Ma'am," Jasper finally said walking up to the both of them.

"Afternoon " her mom replied as she turned to look at Jasper.

"I'm Jasper Mills, Bella's Fiancé " he added and her mom's eyes suddenly went wide, she immediately turned to face her belle.

"I had to go meet him at the airport yesterday, we ran into a delay I had to stay the night" she lied smoothly like Emma had told her to.

"And this is his sister Emma" she added turning to Emma and she walked up to them.

"Please, please come in and have your seat," Her Mom said excitedly as she paved way for them and they walked in.

She led Emma and Jasper to where they would seat and left with Belle immediately after.

"It's Belle I told you this before already," Emma said as they sat.

"Pretty much what I said" Jasper replied.

"I'll be leaving for Sioux falls with him on Tuesday," Belle said to her mom immediately after they got to a corner.

"Tuesday?! , Why?!" Her mom exclaimed.

"His work is based there and I feel like I need this time to get away" she replied.

"My dear, I'm or all I said to you, it was all for what mom said.

"Hmm yes all your children getting married was a measure of how great a mother you are, I understand," she said with a small pained smile.

Belle looked up and saw Emma staring at them, she didn't want to appear weaker than she already is.

"It's fine I'll just go talk to dad, he was the only one that supported me anyway" she added and walked away.

Evening...

5:30 pm..."We should leave now, the ceremony has ended," Belle said as she walked up to Emma and Jasper with a small packed bag in her hand.

"Have you told your family about you leaving?!" Emma asked

"I have, they're cool with it"

"Alright then let's go," Emma said.

"Ahh, thank Goodness " Jasper exhaled as he stood up immediately and walked outside

"Ignore him," Emma said and Belle added as they walked out.

Next week...

Monday Morning...:00 am...

"Jasper did you not hear the announcement?!" Emma asked as she moved her chair backward and towards his cubicle " He replied reluctantly.

She immediately tucked her long wavy blonde hair getting in her face behind her ear.

"Then what are you still doing here?!, Officer Abani just called for you !"

"You know how strict he can be !" She said,

He slowly turned to his laptop and continued typing away.

"Ever since officer Abani was transferred to our unit you've been behaving as just gotten a new job somewhere else!" She said,

"Will you get your ass up and go hear what he has to say!"

"Whatever!" He mumbled to himself and hissed as he stood up reluctantly, slowly tucking in and arranging his shirt and tie

"Good day sir " he greeted with a salute as he walked into his office.

"Good morning Jasper, have your seat please," he replied, gesturing to the chair in front of him.

"Thank you" Jasper murmured and took his seat.

"So I see you've found a wife that is ready to travel with you !" Officer Abani started.

"Good!"

"I'm just going to brief you on the Sioux Falls Case now "

"For some months now there have been cases of a particular syndicate terrorizing the city!"

"It's been a hard nut to crack for them so they're asking for help!" He said.

" I've seen you do your thing and I'm well aware of what you can do!" 

"So you're going to go to Sioux falls and bring that silly assassin to book!"

"Sir, yes Sir " he replied.

"Perfect!"

"Here's the file on the case !" Officer Abani said to him and handed over a flash drive.

"Everything you need for the case is in there !"

"And anything you're working on right now I'll have another detective take over"

"Get your bags together, you leave for Sioux falls tomorrow " he concluded and laced flight tickets for him and Belle on the table

"Remember, no falling in love!" Officer Abani added immediately.

"Yes sir"

"Good !, You can get going now " he dismissed and Jasper stood up and bowed respectfully before finally walking out.

"The hell!" Jasper cussed as he walked back into his small cubicle, took off his cap, and slammed it on the table.

The other detective sharing this room with him wasn't in and the few people in were paying no attention at all to him.

"Get your bags together, you leave for Sioux falls tomorrow!" He mimicked angrily as he stared at the flight tickets he had angrily dropped on his table.

It was even an assassin case, he couldn't get over the fact that he was forced to do this against his and even have a wife against his wish.

"You're back!" Emma said as she walked inside and to Jasper.

He slowly picked up the flight tickets and handed them over to her, she took them from him and carefully looked at them.

"We're leaving tom tomorrow said.

She slowly swallowed hard as she dropped the tickets on the table, she had been hoping that this was a dream and it turned out to be not real.

But holding Belle's and Jasper's flight tickets in her hand made it as real as ever.

"So I'm guessing he has told you the nature of the case how long will you be gone for ?!" 

"Honestly I have no idea as long as it takes " he replied and she nodded.

"I can't believe my modified house help is leaving me!" She joked, trying desperately to cover how bad she felt that he was leaving for another city and with a lady that wasn't her or no one knows how long.

"Who's gonna make me breakfast and coffee every morning? " she added and they both laughed.

"That's true," he said with  a small smile, 

"I don't think we've ever been apart for that long!" He said.

"Are you sure you can survive on your own without me ?!" He asked teasingly.

"I should be asking you that!" She retorted.

"But seriously, I'll miss you," he said and she smiled.

"Make sure to call me every day?!" She said,

"Sure thing!" 

"Don't be so sad, we still have the whole of today to hang out" he said playfully and she scoffed, walking back to her cubicle which was just opposite his.

"You wish!"

"I still have work" she added and he just smiled as he shook his head and began to clear his table.
