Dalton's POV,
I drove like a bat out of hell. This can't be true. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and called Christina. I told her to meet me at my apartment. My blood was boiling. I wanted nothing more than to turn the car around and make Brenda love me again. I had to contain my anger. That's why I called Chris. She is the closest I can get to Brenda. She is also going to help me win Brenda back. I pulled up to my place and Chris was already there. I walked into her sitting on my c
Dawson's POV,She looked amazing when she came walking out to my car. I knew why Dalton fell for her. Her long blond hair blew in the warm air. "Good morning." She said as she reached the car."Good morning beautiful. Are you hungry?" She nodded her head at me and put her seatbelt on. I took her far out of town and we found a cafe alongside the ocean. She was so calming to be around. Her mouth just ke
"I asked you a question?""Why do you have a gun?" Christina asked me while she held onto a bag. "Or better yet, what are you doing here?" I could see the tears in her eyes."What's all the noise?" Brenda said walking down the hallway. "Chris, what's wrong?" Brenda asked running to her side. That's when I noticed her eyes were black and blue and she had dry blood on her lips.
Brenda's POV,Once I got back to my hometown. The first thing Chris and I did was head over to Dillon's parent's home. I needed to know everything they knew. Chris and I sat there with Dillon's parents. "I'm so sorry," I said to his mother. Dillon's mother has always been such a sweet woman. All the years Dillon and I dated. We got along so well. She gave me a big hug.
It was almost like I couldn't move or do anything with my time. I sat there on that bed waiting to hear anything from the cops. Chris was doing nothing but pacing back and forth in the room. I knew she was scared. More scared than I was. I guess all this was still trying to sink its way into my mind. I was still in shock with everything. He never showed me that side of him. He has never been anything but sweet and loving to me. Maybe it was all a dream I was going to wake up from. All I could think about was how I wished that none of this was going to be true, but I knew in my heart that it was. He really loved me so much that he got rid of what was standing in front of us.
I know this sounds bad, but when I left that room. My heart broke. He looked so lost and confused. I blamed myself once again. Did I really drive the only man that I have ever loved to go crazy and kill people? It was all like a really bad dream I couldn't wake up from.I almost ran into someone when I turned to walk down the hallway. "I'm sorry, I didn't see you there," I said as I looked up and a man stood there in a suit. He was very tall and had sandy-colored blond hair. His eyes were light brown and he had a five o'clock shadow. He was very good looking.
My eyes started to flutter open. I felt like someone had punched me in the gut. I was laying on something soft. I had a pillow under my head. I opened my eyes and the sun was shining in. I was in a bedroom. I was in a bed. I wasn't tied up or pinned down. I sat up and that's when I saw him. Dalton was asleep in a chair across the room from me. I looked at the door and I knew if I was quiet. I could run and get out of that room. Dalton was a heavy sleeper, but Dalton was also very smart. I knew he would have that door locked."I'm sorry, you know?" I heard him say. I turned and looked b
"Three days Brenda, you have been out cold for three days." I heard his voice and felt his hand on mine. I started to crack my eyes open. Dawson sat next to me on the bed."Three days?" I managed to say. Then everything came crashing back to me and I sat up and scooted myself away from Dawson. I yelled out when I used my hand to move away. I looked at my hand that was all wrapped up. I then looked at Dawson. His face looked pained. I wondered what the hell he was doing here?
I went into my bedroom and decided to jump in the shower. I wanted to freshen up a bit. I decided on a simple little red summer dress. I left my hair down and did a little makeup. I could smell dinner cooking. I opened the bedroom door and headed down the hallway. I walked in to find Dawson swinging his hips to the music he had on his phone. I giggled and didn't want to interrupt him. Then he stood up straight and stopped dancing. I ducked back a little but I knew I had been caught. "Brenda?" I heard him say. I just stood with my back against the wall and smiled. "I know you're there." I jumped out and yell boo.
