JACE BALDWIN'S POV

Taking in a deep breath, I braced myself as I rapt my knuckles twice on the brown wooden door, after a few seconds of no reply, I knocked again before turning my back against it, silently listening in to the slightest sound or movement in the house, while my eyes scanned the empty hallway that was brightly illuminated by the sharp florescent light that shined from the ceiling.

When I didn't get any response, I decided to use the doorbell instead.

I heard a rustling sound from inside, I could hear the sound of feets tapping against the floor coming closer.

Straightening to my full height, I shoved my left hand into my pant pocket just as I heard the door swing open.

"Baby, ugm, you're a bit early." She flung herself into me the moment I turned my attention to her, her hands curled tightly around my neck almost choking the living daylight out of me.
