ALANA'S POV
My eyes widened on meeting his, and he happened to see how shocked and frightened I was, because the moment I scooched back against the door, he leaned back.
I turned to see what I was sitting up against, and when I saw the door, It brought back so many memories that I ended up covering my face in embarassment. He must have seen the tears and must have realized that I'm just a pathetic person who's strong on the outside and pretended not to be hurt by his actions, when I actually come into my room to bitch and mourn over him.
"Are you okay? I was worried when I wanted to come in and check in on you, so I followed through the window… "
I blinked when I heard him speak, and just for a second, I pinched myself internally to make sure I wasn't dreaming. Maybe it was Caleb but I was just visualizing him as Lucian.
But it's not like I was blind. I could clearly see Lucian kneeling right Infront of me with worry in his eyes as he looked at me, probably waiting for an answer.
"Do you want me to carry you back on the bed?" He suddenly smirked, and leaned in closer, and I drew my head backwards as heat crept up my cheeks immediately. I was as red as a tomato.
"Please.. don't…." I don't wait for a reaction before I get up and began giving him the sting eyes. He got up as well, and towered over me with over a foot .
Yes.. I was quite short, shorter than most of the women in the pack even, but that really didn't determine my strength. No one in the pack dared turn their back on me or disobeyed me.
Ever Iago who loathed me wouldn't dare.
And yet..
I almost laughed, but only a painful smirk graced my face.
I was treated like a rogue squirrel. Even rogue Werewolves got better treatment than I did in this hell of a dump.
"What do you want here?" I tried to be stern as I brush past him and began making my bed. It was actually well dressed, but I had to figure something to do to get my mind off his delicious scent heating up the blood running through my veins, making want to jump into his arms now and take advantage of him even.
Even in my worse situations or my worst days, when I was around Lucian, I switched from this prim and proper, cold Luna to a perverted horny Lunatic who only thought about lewd things.
I was such a mess.
Lucian was making me such a mess, and the reason I was even more mad at him right now was because he knew what he was doing…
After 'making' the bed, I began sorting through my drawers, putting the cap over my lipstick and doing pointless things. As time ran out and he was yet to reply, the list of things for me to do ran out as well, and I knew in a matter of minutes, I'll be forced to actually face him, because it looked like he wasn't going to say a word until I gave him all my attention.
Well, he wasn't getting any of that.
"Do you need something?" I ask again, and I stared impatiently at him from the reflection of my mirror. I grab a bottle of drink from my small freezer which I had Caleb install some months back when there was a pack gathering and Lucian didn't want me to come out, do I'd just spend the whole night in here with just my fridge and N*****x.
I stood right Infront of him and tilted my head back as I sipped my drink. Maybe If I get drunk enough and I didn't have my senses with me, I'll be able to get more stricter and sterner and colder.
"Do I need to get something from you before I spend the night here."
I choke on the drink in my mouth, and without realizing it, when I looked up, I discovered I had emptied the entire content in my mouth onto his shirt.
"Shit!" I curse before glaring up at him. "Lucian, I really don't have time for your jokes. Yes, you want to rub it in my face that the entire time you left me all alone in this room to sleep all by myself, you've been with Diana. I get it, but coming all the way up to my room to play such a stupid prank on me is just… " I turn away from him to get a wine glass. "It's just really low."
When I fill my glass, I hold the bottle in one hand while I drank from the other, tilting my head back to gulp the wine and swallow immediately. Once I feel the warm, coarse liquid streaming down my throat, I began to feel much more calmer and cool headed than just now when I wanted to bang this bottle over his head and take the devil by its bullhorns without Caring what would happen.
I fill another one and try to drink it, but the jerk grabbed the bottle of wine and the cup off my hands and turn away to drop it on the table kept close my window.
"Hey! You do not… " I was already slurry on my words. I had very low intolerance to alcohol. I already had one glass (the first didn't count since Lucian shirt had absorbed it) and I was finding it hard to speak. Another, and I would go crazy.
"Listen Alana." He grabbed my shoulders and made me look up at him. I was trying really hard to be stern and glare at him, but soon I was staring at him like he was cotton candy and I couldn't resist him. "I felt bad about our argument, and I really want to apologize. So let me stay here for the night. You're already crazily drunk.. "
Titans POVI stared at the open field in front of me. Vultures screeched above me and some poured down to the field to devour the deer carcass that laid there.Kargo and Jacob stood by my right side, staring at me and speaking in whispers. I did not mind. They could say whatever they wanted. My mind was pretty occupied at the moment. We had moved from the valley of death to the open field a little bit far off north from our pack compound. Jacob and Kargo had pleaded for me to go to the pack compound with them but I refused it. I decided it best to sit here in the pouring rain and think everything that was happening through. What the shaman had said to us still stuck in my head, unable to leave. No matter how hard I had tried to wipe it off my mind, it still stayed. I wanted so much to not believe what he had said but I didn't find a reason not to no matter how hard I tried.I had wanted to ask him who the wolf prints that we had seen belonged to but he disappeared just as fast as he h
Lucian's POVWe marched into the pack compound, waving at the people who had gathered at the gate. The elders too had gathered and they bowed down as I passed by, having the knowing look in their eyes. I knew they were mad at me for my behavior recently. Now that I didn't have any reason to go after Alana again, I made a mental note to speak with the elders later and apologize to them for my behavior. But first, I had to meet with Diana."Where's Diana?" I asked one of the guards that was standing beside my horse. I immediately recognized who I was talking to and rephrased my question. "Where is your Luna?""I do not know, Alpha, Lucian," the guard responded as he bowed down slightly. I tapped his shoulders and gave him the reins of my horse before walking away to look for Diana. I walked over to the infirmary to search for her, thinking that's where she would be since Flora was taking care of her and the baby but I didn't find her there. The whole place was empty. It was then that I
Diana's POVI sat on my bed as hot tears poured from my eyes. Lucian's actions now we're beginning to hurt more than before. I didn't know why he couldn't acknowledge the fact that my daughter and I were more than enough for him. Whenever I asked him why he could not do that, he would always denied it and tell me that he did know that I and his daughter were enough for him. But then if I asked him why he was still going after Alana, he would keep mute. His behavior was beginning to sicken and annoy but it was also beginning to worry me. I didn't know what would happen if he wins Titan in the fight and brings Alana home. If she does get pregnant, Lucian would begin to prioritize her over I and his daughter. She might even give birth to a son which would make matters worse."Arrrrgh," I mumbled as I pulled at my hair. Thinking about everything was draining my energy but I still had not come to any conclusion that would be of help to me. I knew if Alana came back to the pack, she would d
Lucians POV"We went after her but we didn't see her," Titan replied me. "All that we saw were wolf paw prints where she had landed.""I do not fucking believe you, Titan," I said with a growl. I could not believe Titans word. There was no way he did not have Alana with him."I give you my word, Lucian, I am notlyinge," Titan said with a frown. "I am most definitely not with Alana." As Titan said those words, I felt a cold rush over my body. If Alana was not with Titan, where then was she? Had she gone missing? Was she killed? And the wolves paw prints that Titan had seen where she had landed, did that mean that a rival pack had taken her? Or had she been killed by wild wolves? There was no way she could have been killed by wolves as she was a Luna and was powerful enough to bring any wolf to their knees. And if she had been captured by other packs, either I or Titan would have been alerted. If she was not killed and was not taken hostage by other packs, where then was she? As if r
Titans POVI walked into the weapons room and wents straight to the inner room. I picked my battle armor that I had hung on the wall and put it on. I then took Alana's cloth piece and tied it around my sword handle. With a loud sigh, I sheathed my sword and marched outside.Jacob and the twenty warriors were already on their horses and standing by the compound gate, waiting for me. As I walked towards them, I turned to my side and saw Clara and Charlotte standing and watching me as I walked by. I could see the pain in their eyes as they put their gaze on me."What conclusion did you come to after meeting them?" I asked Jacob as I walked up to him."Meeting who?" he asked, handing the reins of my horse to me."Clara and Charlotte," I replied, grabbing the reins. I put my legs on the saddle and pulled myself until the horse with a groan."They blamed themselves for what Nixie did," he said with a croak. "I told them not to. Nixie is a smart grown woman so she knows and understands the c
Alana's POVI stepped out of Johnson's car with my son in my arms and stared at the huge mansion in front of me. The building was so huge and I was confused as to why a man would live in it alone. As if reading my thoughts, Johnson said, "I, my wife, my daughter and my two sons used to live here until they died in an accident.""I'm so sorry," I said as I noticed his sad face.He shrugged and said, "that was four years ago so I'm over it. Still hurts but it's best one takes their mind off somethings because continuously thinking about it can cause more damage than the first pain." As he spoke, I could hear the pain in his voice. He immediately suppressed it and wore a huge smile on his face. "They asked for me to sell the house after they died but I could not," he continued as he closed his car door and locked it with his key. "Couldn't let go of it so I refused to. Now I live in a house with five rooms all alone. Well, at least today will be different," Johnson said, giving me a wa
