The rain is pouring; it's thundering while Joshua is on his phone waiting for a text from Winter. It's been a while since they spoke. He tried to videocall her; however, her phone was off "fuck, why does she own a phone? If it's never on?”
He goes to Facebook and scrolls through her profile. All her high school year pictures are uploaded; she always has that fantastic smile. Scrolling through her contact list, he sees her ex-boyfriend is on her contacts. He scrolls further through her Facebook page; he can't help but notice how in love they look in every photo. Scrolling further down her profile, he reached the section where she put up her relationship status with her ex-boyfriend, which was never updated. Clicking on his name, he sees her under his mutual friends.
Sitting up straight on the bed, he now takes a small sachet of cocaine out and sniffs five lines; it makes him feel calm and happy.
