Chapter Eighty-seven

Jess sighed but agreed that the best thing that they could do now was to wait and let her adjust a bit more to her current situation. She sighed and sipped from the coffee cup. She stared at the dark liquid for a moment before turning her eyes on the young woman in front of her. 

“So what exactly are we going to do?” She  asked. 

“We aren’t going to do anything. You’re going to help get these men well and then pretend like you don’t know I exist. It’s what’s best for your safety.” Bridgette whispered. 

“And if I can’t?” She asked, raising a brow. 

“You’re going to have to. If Bernard finds out that I am back or someone that knows him gets wind of this then I will end up in his cells again. I can’t go back and I have to protect Sammy and Marco
