Chapter Fifty-Nine

“Bridgette. She’s in the gym.” Athena said, stepping out into the hallway. 

Kane frowned as he looked at Dex, who shrugged, unable to answer his question. The look on Dex’s face told him that something was bothering him. Instead of asking him what was wrong Kane was immediately distracted by two little balls of energy hurling themselves at his legs. His eyes lit up at  the sight of the two younger children who had wrapped themselves around his legs. He reached down and picked them both up, smiling as Sammy planted a kiss on his cheek. 

“How are the two of you?” He asked. 

“Good…” Sammy said softly, looking towards the gym with a worried frown.

“Do you know what happened?” Kane asked wi
