Archer's Deal

Michael’s POV

The moment Archer stepped through the café door, the air thickened and it felt like the entire world around me had suddenly gone still.

I wasn’t afraid of him—not in the way most people were—but that didn’t mean my pulse didn’t kick into overdrive.

My fingers curled into my palms under the counter, but this wasn’t fear; it was something colder. A sharpened awareness.

Because I knew more than anyone in this room how much Archer hated me.

Not the petty, eye-roll kind of hate. No—his was the kind you nurtured, fed, and kept alive for long time, waiting for the right moment to use it.

I had suspected that he was the one who sent the sniper to Ashley’s apartment that day to shoot me but it had hit Fernando instead.

It was meant for me but the sniper had missed, hitting Fernando instead. The impact had sent him crashing to the ground, his head smacking the concrete. And just like that, ten months of his memory were gone.

Archer knew exactly what that accident had done—to me

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   An Empty Morning

Michael’s POV The sun felt wrong today.I don’t mean it was too hot or too bright—it just… didn’t belong. It entered through the blinds of Ashley’s apartment in long, slanted lines that landed across the sofa where I sat hunched over, staring at the floor. The warmth on my skin was useless. It couldn’t seep deep enough to reach the cold inside me.It had been one day—twenty-four hours—since Fernando had taken Henry away.My chest tightened as the memory replayed for the hundredth time. The beach. Henry’s small hand slipping from mine. Fernando’s voice, too calm for someone who had just torn my world in half.I rubbed my temples and let out a low breath that came out more like a growl.I was never the kind of man to admit defeat, but right now? The weight of failure sat like a stone in my gut.The sound of clinking dishes broke through my thoughts. Ashley was in the kitchen, moving with her usual efficiency, her hair tied up and her work clothes already on.“Michael?” Her voice was

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   The Ghost I Never Knew

Fernando’s POV The gates to my mansion compound groaned open like some great beast waking from sleep.Archer’s car — sleek, black, and almost predatory in its polished sheen — rolled forward. Sunlight flashed across the tinted windows as it crossed the threshold, entering my domain like it had every right to be here.I stood still, my hands clasped loosely behind my back, my face betraying nothing. In truth, I didn’t remember him, not a flicker, not a shadow of a memory. But his earlier words still clung to me like smoke."We were together before you lost your memories."That in itself was enough to make my pulse thud harder in my chest — not because of some surge of hidden affection but because it was a revelation. If it was true, it meant that after Michael I had been with someone else.I had always assumed Michael was the only one who had… mattered.Marlo, standing at my side like the giant pillar he had always been, gave a small huff of disapproval.“This is a mistake,” he mutt

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   The Stranger at My Gates

Fernando’s POV The roar of the engines was the only sound filling the long, winding driveway as my cars pulled up toward the mansion. It was a sound I had grown up with — the deep purr of power beneath metal, the hum of expensive precision — yet lately, even that familiar sound felt strangely hollow to me. I leaned back against the soft leather of the rear seat, the scent of new car polish mixing with the faint trace of my cologne.Beside me, Henry sat stiffly, his little arms crossed tight across his chest. His eyes, sharp and distant, were fixed on the view beyond the tinted glass. I had caught him stealing glances at me several times during the ride, but each time I turned my head, he looked away as though the very act of meeting my gaze was a crime. The convoy rolled to a stop before the grand front steps. Through the window, I saw them waiting — a line of maids in perfectly pressed uniforms, hands folded before them, heads slightly bowed in practiced respect. At the center s

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   The Ghost I Can’t Let Go

Archer’s POV The sunlight in my TV room felt intrusive this morning—obnoxiously intrusive.Normally, I liked that about this room—how the morning light made the place feel clean, almost sterile. But today, it mocked me. Too bright for the mood crawling under my skin. I had already decided hours ago that I wasn’t going to work today. I had made the call to my office before sunrise, my voice steady but my mind frayed. No meetings, no pretending to be interested in quarterly reports, and no having to keep my expression neutral while people talked about things that didn’t matter to me anymore.Today, I wanted silence. But I wasn’t alone. From the corner of my eye, I caught movement. The man from last night… what was his name again? Cole? No. Colin. Yes, that was it. Colin. He walked into the TV room with a casual familiarity that made my jaw tighten. He was wearing nothing but the shirt I had tossed at him earlier—my shirt. The hem fell mid-thigh, the sleeves rolled up like he had bee

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Blood in the Sand

Fernando’s POV The sound of the waves still clung to my ears, even as Marlo steered us away from the beach. It wasn’t the kind of sound that fades easily—it burrowed into my skull, weaving itself into the rhythm of my heartbeat. Even with the scent of salt air giving way to the smell of the road, the ocean stayed with me. The crash of the surf no longer belonged to a peaceful memory. It was the percussion of fear, the backdrop to the way Henry’s small hands had trembled against mine. The ocean had always been a backdrop to blood in my life. I had stood on its shore after deals turned bloody, after enemies washed up with their throats cut. But today… today it had been the stage for something else. Not business. Not vengeance. Something far more personal.Henry sat beside me in the back seat, his small legs dangling above the floor mats. His sneakers swung in a slow, uneven rhythm, the motion betraying the nervous energy he was trying to hide. He kept his gaze fixed on the window,
