Michael’s POV

The silence between us stretched, thick as fog, hanging heavy in the hospital’s parking lot.

The move I made to block Dominique surprised even me. I could feel the tremor in my thigh from the strain of holding it firm, but I didn’t shift, not an inch.

His gaze dropped to my leg and then slowly traveled up, steady, deliberate, until his eyes locked with mine.

“Michael,” Dominique said, his voice smooth, unshaken, carrying that eerie patience that always rubbed me the wrong way

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   The Point of No Return

Michael’s POVThe silence inside the vehicle was becoming unbearable.I sat beside Henry, staring through the window as the city blurred past us. Buildings, traffic lights, shops and pedestrians all disappeared behind us almost as quickly as they appeared.I didn't know where we were going. Theo had refused to tell me. Every time I asked, he gave me the same vague answer but none of those answers told me where we were actually going. And that frightened me.I looked at Theo. He sat opposite us, completely composed, as though he hadn't just orchestrated the most insane situation I had ever experienced.Kim sat beside him. She hadn't said much since getting into the vehicle.Henry had tried several times to talk to her, but she kept giving him short answers or avoiding his questions altogether.I could see the hurt in Henry's face. He didn't understand why the person he loved was suddenly acting like a stranger."Kim, are you okay?" I asked. She looked at me then nodded."I'm fine."Her

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Cut Off

Ashley’s POVI slammed my palm against the steering wheel and leaned heavily on the horn. The sound blared through the air, loud and relentless, but the vehicles blocking the road didn't move.Whatever had come over Theo's men after Michael's car had swerved into another road, was starting to make me extremely angry."Move!" I yelled, my voice high as my anger surged through. I honked again but nothing happened. These men were actually ignoring me,as if I was merely breeze blowing in their ears and not someone in a hurry to follow her best friend. My hands tightened around the steering wheel as I watched Michael's vehicle disappear farther into the distance."No, no, no..."I could still see it but not as clear as before. The black vehicle carrying Michael and Henry was getting smaller with every passing second. They were leaving and I couldn't follow them and It was all these dumb men's fault.I pressed the horn again, harder this time, as if sheer frustration could force the veh

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   A New Life

Michael’s POVI twisted around in my seat and looked through the rear window again to check if Ashley's car was there.Thankfully it was still following, still close enough for me to recognize Ashley behind the wheel. My chest tightened and I immediately turned back around.Henry frowned."Dad, are you okay?" He asked. I forced a smile."I'm fine."Henry didn't look convinced. He had never been easy to fool, especially when something involved me."Is Ashley following us?"I hesitated."Yes" I said."Then why didn't she just come with us?" He asked.I didn't have an answer because I couldn't tell him the truth.I couldn't tell him that the men surrounding our vehicle weren't behaving like rescuers. I couldn't tell him that one of them had pressed a gun against my back..I couldn't tell him that I didn't know where they were taking us and I certainly couldn't tell him that Theo had arranged everything."It's complicated," I finally said.Henry's eyebrows pulled together."Everything has

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   The Tracker

Fernando's POVMarlo stared at me as though he still couldn't believe the situation had turned against him. Only minutes ago, he had been sitting comfortably in this vehicle, convinced he was taking me to my death. Now he was staring through the shattered windshield at the men surrounding us.His men were gone, every single one of them.Bodies lay scattered across the road, weapons abandoned beside them. My men stood in a wide circle around the vehicle, their guns raised and their eyes fixed on Marlo.Anabelle looked terrified and I couldn't blame her.I was breathing heavily, my wrists still painfully restrained in front of me."Untie me" I ordered him.Marlo didn't move."You think this changes anything?"I almost laughed."Look outside. Your men are dead and you're surrounded" I said.Marlo looked at the men again then at me and he slowly shook his head."I could still kill you" he said.I stared at him."With what?"His eyes flickered toward the weapon lying near his feet and I sm

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   The Facade

Michael’s POVMy wrists were beginning to hurt.I had been pulling against the restraints for what felt like an eternity, twisting my hands this way and that, searching desperately for even the smallest weakness in the knots but there was nothing.Whoever had tied me had known exactly what they were doing.I pulled against the restraints again and Carlos shook his head."You know, Michael, I'm starting to understand why Fernando—"A gunshot exploded somewhere outside and we both froze. Another followed then another until my entire body went rigid."What the hell was that?"Carlos stared toward the basement ceiling."I don't know."More gunshots rang out one after another and my heart began hammering.I immediately thought of my house and my stomach twisted. The thought of bullets flying around my house made panic rush through me.I pulled against the restraints again."I need to get out of here.""Michael—""I need to know what's happening!" I said urgently. "What if Ashley is in trou

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Back On Top

Fernando's POVThe road seemed endless. I sat in the back of the black car with my hands restrained in front of me, listening to the low hum of the engine as we drove farther away from the city.Every few seconds, the tires rolled over uneven pavement, making the vehicle rock gently from side to side.I kept my face expressionless. I refused to give Marlo the satisfaction of seeing fear.Across from me, he sat comfortably, one arm resting against the door as though this were nothing more than an ordinary afternoon drive.Anabelle sat beside him.Two armed men occupied the seats beside me, their weapons visible beneath their jackets.Another vehicle followed behind us.I looked at him."Where exactly are you taking me?" I asked.Marlo smiled."You'll find out soon enough" he replied. I frowned. "That's not an answer.""It's the only one you're getting" he said.I leaned back against the seat."You know, Marlo, I never imagined you'd be the one sitting beside me while taking me to my

Michael’s POV The motel’s neon sign flickered overhead like a tired heartbeat as I guided Henry toward our room. His small hand clutched mine with a quiet trust. Michael’s POV The sun was still high up in the sky, pouring it's golden streeks outside Ashley’s apartment window. The street was still, save for the two stone-faced bodyguards loitering outside the building entrance like shadows glued to the sidewalk. Their presence was a constant reminder th

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Shut Out

Archer’s POV I sat behind my desk, staring blankly at the documents that had been piling up like bricks of guilt. Contracts, acquisition reports, and memos that required my signature. Fernando’s POV The sound of gravel crunching beneath the tires jolted me out of my thoughts. We slowed to a stop at a run-down gas station, barely lit by flickering overhead lights. A crooked neon sign buzzed above the little convenience store, casting a pale red glow across the cracked pavement
