Michael’s POV

Everything happened so fast, and yet I remember it like a slow-motion nightmare.

The door burst open with a loud, echoing creak that should have sent dread crawling down my spine.

Instead, all I felt was a flutter of hope—until Risky staggered forward, his eyes wide with something like fear or betrayal—and then he collapsed.

He just fell to the ground.

A sickening thud followed as his body hit the floor, his face twisted in shock, blood already pooling around him.

My heart froze in my chest.

Risky was dead.

I turned in time to see Rodger's arm beginning to bleed in where I had mistakenly shot him when we were struggling for the gun.

He screamed, gripping it and he stared daggers at me.

We had been struggling, clawing at each other, when the weapon went off.

I didn’t know if I pulled the trigger or if Rodger had just lost control.

He was bleeding.

I was panting.

And then—

"Michael!"

My head snapped toward the sound of my name, and there they were.

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   The Monster I Made

Fernando's POVAshley stood frozen, her chest heaving, the gun in her trembling hand slowly lowering. Her wide, stunned eyes were locked on Michael, who had just stepped in front of her like a human shield. My Michael. The one who used to blush whenever I so much as kissed his hand. Now he looked like a soldier returning from battle—scarred, hardened, but alive. He had just confessed to murdering Damian and Andrew. The air grew impossibly quiet. Even Mortis stopped fidgeting. Emilio's fingers loosened on his trigger. Santiago folded his arms, his brows raised slightly. But Ashley—Ashley was crumbling."The fact you're able to talk like this despite murdering two people is my worst nightmare come true" she whispered, her voice raw, like someone had poured acid into her throat. Her lower lip trembled, her entire body vibrating with disbelief.Michael took a step forward, slow and hesitant. "Ashley, please... let me explain."Her eyes blazed. "Explain? Explain what exactly? Th

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   When the Truth Burns

Michael's POVBefore I could get a word out, Ashley grabbed my arm and pulled me with a force that startled me. Her grip was strong, frantic even, as if she were trying to physically pull me away from the chaos I had willingly walked into."Ashley! What are you—""We need to leave. Now!" she snapped, dragging me toward the exit. "I came here to save you before you get caught in a war that has nothing to do with you!""Ashley, wait. Just listen to me for a second—""No, Michael! You listen!"I know she wanted to save me but her actions were very risky, especially when she had done it in front of Fernando. We reached the dockyard's outer corridor and I turned around to see if Fernando was advancing towards us.The cold wind slapped against my skin, harsh and biting, yet it was nothing compared to the fury radiating from Ashley. Her fingers dug into my wrist until I finally pulled free. She turned sharply, hurt flashing in her eyes. She needed to stop or risk getting herself killed in

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Agent on Site

Ashley’s POVThe night air was thick with darkness and secrets.I stood a few yards away from Rodger’s docks, the cold wind biting into my coat. In the distance, the outlines of the warehouse structures were pretty much visible despite being half-hidden in fog. A rusty chain-link fence ran the perimeter, and beyond it, I could see the faint outline of shipping containers stacked on top of each other in the shadows.I took a breath and glanced at my phone.Fernando’s signal was here. Right here.I narrowed my eyes at the map on my screen, zooming in. The blinking blue dot hadn’t moved in the past twenty minutes. That meant one of two things: either Fernando was lying low, waiting to strike, or he was already inside."You sure this is the place?" my driver asked, twisting slightly in his seat to look back at me. His voice held a kind of innocent worry I hadn’t heard in years. It was genuine with unfiltered concern. It was different from the voice calculated men used when trying to

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   The Gunshot

Michael’s POVThe room I was kept smelled old, like it hasn't been cleaned in decades. Rodger sat comfortably in a chair meant for someone far more important. His legs were crossed, his suit sharp despite the grimy environment, and in his hand, he swirled a crystal glass half-filled with alcohol. I watched him from my chair angrily. My back ached because I have been here for too long. And Fernando still hadn’t come.I knew he would. I knew him.But it was taking too damn long.I glanced at the only guard in the room. He stood near the door, his arms folded over his chest, his gun holstered, his expression blank.I wondered if I could take him. If I could knock him out, grab his weapon, maybe shoot my way out.Rodger noticed.“You’re calculating,” he said, smiling. “I can see it in your eyes. The mental math. The escape routes. The blood you’re willing to spill.”I didn’t answer. He sipped from his glass. “Don’t bother. He would shoot you before you got halfway there. And even if y

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Shadows at the Docks

Fernando's POVThe night wrapped around us. We were a mile out from Rodger’s docks, hidden behind a warehouse that hadn’t seen use in decades. Our engines were off, our SUVs hidden behind a wall.Santiago’s men came out of their vehicles like disciplined shadows, quiet and precise, dressed in black from head to toe. No voices were heard. Just the soft shuffle of boots, the click of gear being checked one last time, and the thrum of anticipation pulsing in the air like electricity.I stood at the center, followed by Marlo on my right and Mortis to the left. Emilio hid near a rusted oil drum, scanning the dark skyline with a pair of infrared binoculars. Santiago stood across from me, his arms crossed and his expression unreadable—as always. He radiated calm, the kind born from a life lived in violence.I cleared my throat, drawing everyone's eyes. It was time to lead."Listen up. This isn’t a raid. It’s a retrieval mission. We get in, we get Michael, we get out. Clean and quiet. L

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Operation Bloodline

Fernando’s POVThe air in Santiago’s compound was thick with tension, gun oil, sweat, and the unspoken promise of violence. We were preparing to go and make a bastard pay dearly with his life for making a very big mistake of crossing me.Shadows danced under the fluorescent lights overhead, flickering like restless ghosts. Santiago’s men stood around us in a semi-circle, their faces grim, eyes cold, as though they had already accepted they might not all return from this mission. At the center stood Santiago, Marlo, Mortis, Emilio, and me—five men in a storm about to break. Around us were crates of ammunition stacked against the walls, open cases displaying assault rifles, pistols, grenades, and combat knives gleaming with a cruel hunger for action. The scent of determination and power clung to everything. This wasn’t a mission. This was war.Michael.The thought of his name alone made my jaw tighten. That clever bastard had managed to send me a message—cryptic, coded, but clear t

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   After the Ashes

Ashley’s POVWhite sheets tucked around my legs. My left side ached like hell, bandaged tightly from rib to hip. They said I was lucky that the bullet had missed every vital organ. Lucky. I rolled the word around in my head.Nothing about this felt like luck. Not the blood. Not the silence from Michael.A soft knock tapped against the door."Come in," I said, my voice hoarse.Dr. Elridge, the man with the steadiest hands and the softest eyes in the entire bloody hospital, walked in with a clipboard and a look that told me he was both impressed and exhausted. He was the one who patched me up when I came in, practically bleeding out on the stretcher. I owed him my life. Still, I braced myself. He didn’t come here for small talk."Agent Ashley," he began, sliding into the chair beside my bed. "Or should I say, ex-patient Ashley?"I offered a tired smirk. "Didn’t think you’d miss me that much."He chuckled briefly, then his tone shifted. "I wanted to speak to you before you leave.

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   A Voice in the Shadows

Michael's POVThe car came to a slow stop. The humming of the engine faded into the sound of waves slapping gently against the docks. The salty air filtered in through the barely cracked window. We were here. Wherever "here" was.I looked outside and saw a row of abandoned shipping containers and the eerie silhouettes of old cranes reaching into the night. The entire scene looked too weird to me.It was the far end of the dock—Rodger's private lot. It was isolated and controlled. Exactly the kind of place someone like him would own.Rodger freed his hand from mine and handed me his phone. I hesitated."Go on," he said. "Call him."The device felt heavy in my palm. Not in weight, but in what it represented. One wrong word. One misstep. And he could ruin everything. My life, my relationship with Fernando. All of it balanced on the edge of a razor.I took a deep breath."Before I do this," I said slowly, "I need to know. Really know. That you're going to keep your end of the deal. I
