Michael’s POV

I leaned heavily against the door, my heart beating hard against my ribcage as my mind kept on calculating on how i could escape.

The aftermath of the scuffle with Damian still lingered in my mind and i could still feel the aftereffects of my punch on my trembling fingers.

Damian wiped another smear of blood from his busted nose, the corner of his lips curling into a sinister grin.

The dim light of the room cast sharp shadows across his face, but the amusement dancing in his dark eyes sent a chill down my spine.

It was as if I was staring at a completely different person, a complete opposite to the man I thought I could actually try to fall in love with.

I should have known better.

“You know,” Damian began, his voice smooth despite the fresh blood he flicked carelessly from his fingers, “you were quite the agent, Michael. Quite the golden boy, if I remember correctly.” He chuckled, a cruel sound in the tense room. “A man of justice, honour and law. Then what happened,

Michael’s POVI couldn’t sleep. Again. The room was cold—colder than it should have been. The kind of cold that seeped under your skin and curled around your bones. I sat on the edge of the bed, elbows on my knees, hands clasped so tightly they trembled. My jaw ached from how hard I was clenching it. Every second felt like a weight on my chest, an invisible pressure that only grew with time. I wasn’t disturbed by the silence; I was haunted by the uncertainty. What the hell was Fernando discussing with Ashley? The message I had seen on his phone wouldn’t leave me alone. It played in my head like a song stuck on repeat, each line more damning than the last.Ashley’s name was right there. No denying it. No mistaking it. I raked a hand through my hair, tugging hard at the roots as if pain could bring clarity. "What promise, Ashley?" I whispered into the emptiness. "What the hell did you get yourself into?"The longer I stayed silent, the louder the questions screamed inside my h

Fernando's POV I adjusted the cuff of my sleeve, watching the city blur past through the bulletproof windows of Santiago's armored car. The sun had barely set, casting the streets in the gold colours of early evening.Santiago sat beside me, silent, his face unreadable. But I didn’t need him to speak. I already knew what he was thinking. This meeting tonight had to go smoothly. No surprises. No betrayals. Just a clean expansion of my empire into a part of the city that had been held too long by degenerates pretending to be kings. We turned into an abandoned industrial yard. The headlights cut through dust and shadow, revealing three other vehicles already parked in a loose circle. The gang we were here to meet, Los Lobos, were territorial, unpredictable, and always smelling like cheap tobacco and even cheaper loyalty.Mortis, Marlo, and Emilio were already waiting on site, dressed sharp but dangerous. Santiago's men followed us, fanned out, watching every shadow with their f

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Hiding in the Silence

Fernando's POV It was one of those rare nights when the silence felt heavier than sound. The kind of quiet that didn't come with peace—only with weight. The walls of Santiago's mansion were thick, designed to trap secrets, and yet tonight they felt like they were closing in on me, trying to trap something else. Maybe regret, maybe truth, or maybe just my ghosts.Michael had left my room in anger, earlier. His footsteps had faded down the hallway, sharp and angry. I had pretended to fall asleep after our argument—a tactical retreat. He was angry about the text. Ashley's text. And though I had given him a charming lie, a clean deflection, something told me he wasn't fooled. That man could read my silences better than anyone ever had.I sat up in bed now, alone. The sheets still smelled like Michael. He didn’t know I noticed, but I always did. Everything about him clung to my senses like it was branded into me. His anger lingered too.I ran my hand through my hair and stood, walk

Michael’s POV Sleep had come to Fernando easier than I expected tonight. His eyes were closed shut and the rising and falling of his chest only made it even more obvious of how tired he was.Maybe it was the exhausting meetings or whatever new schemes he was spinning in that mind of his. For me, sleep remained a stranger. Every tick of the old clock mounted on the wall above the dresser seemed to drill deeper into my skull. It had been days—no, weeks—without a single ounce of freedom. I had absolutely no contact with the outside world. Fernando’s iron grip wasn’t just physical anymore; it was mental as well as emotional. I needed to breathe. I needed to know what was happening beyond the walls of Santiago’s massive estate. Most importantly, I needed to talk to Ashley. She had to know what I was going through. I didn’t care if she hated me. I didn’t care if she didn’t believe I was still the same person beneath all this chaos. I just... needed to hear her voice. And that meant

Ashley’s POVThe conference room was thick with tension before the meeting even began. The low hum of whispered conversations, the rustle of papers, and the constant clinking of ceramic mugs against the table filled the air with an ominous sense of urgency. I slid into the leather chair at the far end of the long oval table, positioned between the Deputy Director and an Agent. The weight of their authority pressed in on either side of me.The scent of fresh coffee was strong—too strong. It didn’t feel like comfort.Around me, several agents sat hunched over printed files, their faces filled with fatigue and a grim determination. Maps, mugshots, surveillance photos, and intelligence logs lay scattered across the table like puzzle pieces. Eyes met mine briefly, their expressions hard. But right now, we all had the same enemy.“Let’s get started,” Agent Whitaker announced as he stood, his voice tight and clipped. “There’s been a major development. Fernando Ramirez is rebuilding.”

  • Dark Possession: Bound To The Mafia Don   Burn With Me

Michael’s POV It was close to midnight, and the silence inside Santiago’s estate had a certain chill to it—one that clung to the walls and crept under my skin. I sat on the edge of the bed Fernando had forced me to call mine, wrapped in a thick blanket that suddenly felt too heavy, too suffocating. The cold wasn’t coming from the night air. It was coming from within. My thoughts were louder than the ticking of the old clock on the wall. And every thought screamed her name.Ashley.Her face haunted me, not in dreams, but in every waking moment. The sound of her laughter, the softness of her voice when she said my name, the way her eyes searched mine like she could see straight into my soul—it all played on repeat, torturing me. And I couldn’t reach her. I didn’t even know if she was safe.I missed my best friend so much.Did she think I had abandoned her? Or betrayed her?Did she hate me?That was the worst part. Not the confinement, not Fernando’s manipulation, not the suffocati
