Masuk[A Few Hours Ago.]
Adrian stared at Estelle's sleeping figure in silence. His thoughts were a mystery. His blue eyes were cold. They held no emotions and looked lifeless. If not for his chest slowly rising and falling, one wouldn't be able to tell if he was alive or not. His cold and emotionless stare lingered on her back for an unknown amount of time she until shivered slightly and stirred in her sleep. This prompted him to avert his gaze and swiftly close his eyes, feigning sleep. Only God knew what would happen if Estelle caught him staring at her in the middle of the night. Then something unthinkable happened. Although his eyes were closed, his enhanced senses could pick up something approaching him. It was obviously Estelle. ' What is she up to?' He thought warily. Opening his eyes slightly and peeking through his thick lashes, he saw Estelle laying on the bed with her eyes still closed. But there was a problem. If before, she was lot farther from him, now she was within his arms reach. Adrian furrowed his brows but didn't do anything, however, his whole body tensed up. Estelle attempting to assassinate him in his sleep was a possibility he couldn't ignore. Blue aura leaked out of his body as he prepared to shift incase Estelle made a move. He continued to observe her carefully. Five minutes later, Estelle moved again. Just like before, she scooted in his direction while mumbling sweet nothings. Adrian held his breathe as he waited for her next course of action. Utilizing his shifting abilities, he made his claws elongate as he waited. Although he wasn't sure, what might be happening now might just be an act to lower his guard before she strikes. Estelle raised her left arm in a slow and sluggish manner... and grabbed his shoulder. Adrian's muscles tensed, his optical prowess became more defined to the point he could even detect micro movements. Time seemed to slow down. But what she did next stunned him so much that his brain lagged. Even his aura and his claws retreated to his body. Estelle had snuggled into his chest while muttering incoherently. Her arms had now wrapped around him possessively. She had pressed herself unto him with so much force her breasts had now flattened against his chest. "..." No words could describe the shock and confusion he was feeling. Estelle's actions baffled him to the core. But Adrian's shock diminished the moment he felt her cold body. He and everyone in Frostveil was accustomed to the cold. But the same couldn't be said for other werewolves. Estelle staying here without complaining of the cold could already be considered a miracle. He sighed. The feeling of her soft but firm feminine body pressing against him was slowly making him lose it. He was getting aroused. And it horrified him. His d*ck had already grown to the point it was pressing against Estelle's midrift. Adrian was already using every little bit of restraint he had when Estelle stirred in her sleep and her smooth stomach brushed against his d*ck more. “ Sh*t.“ He groaned and hastily pushed her away like she was burning coal. He almost sighed in relief. Yes... almost. Estelle, whom he had shoved away, had now somehow rolled towards him again. His eyes twitched in annoyance. He couldn't even describe the amount of annoyance he was feeling right now. He could easily force Estelle away by let his powers of frost lose. This would make Estelle avoid him like a plague. But... for some reason, he didn't want to. This time, Estelle's arms held Adrian's upper body, while her legs wrapped around his. It was the same way a koala would hug a tree branch. Adrian sucked a sharp breathe in. His wolf was this close to losing control, but he restrained him. He knew that the more she maintained contact with him, the more aroused he got. Straining, he pushed her away again and suppressed his desires. 'This is getting dangerous.' Adrian thought. He was doing his best to not listen to the demons in his head and f*ck her right there! He exhaled and tried to think of something else to kill his arousal. Just then, as if punishing him for his past transgressions of pushing her away, a slap landed on his face. Well, technically, it wasn't an orthodox slap since it didn't carry intent. But a slap was till a slap regardless. “...“ Adrian was utterly stunned. Was this just a coincidence? He refused to believe that this woman didn't slap him on purpose. Estelle, in question, was already snuggling against him for the third time. ' Is this woman really asleep?' Adrian thought tiredly. But he knew that wasn't the case. There was no way Estelle would voluntarily try to touch him without an attempt to harm him. There was a big problem though. He was already throbbing and rock hard. ' Does she know what she's getting herself into?' Staring at her sleeping face, dark urges and thoughts began to resurface in his head. He raised his hand to grab Estelle. But stopped at the last moment and only grabbed a fistful of her raven black hair. He let out an animalistic growl as veins protruded on his forearm at the intensity of the his grip. Adrian muttered something before letting go. He closed his eyes for a long time before grabbing Estelle's shoulder and pushing her away... again. He hoped, and he prayed, that this time, the woman wouldn't roll back to him. And for a while, she didn't. But that changed after she shivered again. Her body trembled from the cold. He could get her a warm blanket to avoid all of this. But he didn't want to. A complicated look appeared on Adrian's face. Watching Estelle scoot over again, Adrian pinched the bridge of his nose and let out a long, tired sigh. Something soft and supple pressed against him for the fourth time. “ Aaah.“ Steamed left his mouth as breathed he out. He kept letting out deep breaths over and over again for a long period of time. During this entire time, he hands didn't touch Estelle at all. He couldn't. If he did, he wasn't sure he would be able to control himself anymore. Time went by. It was slow and agonizing for Adrian as a certain part of throbbed in arousal. He hadn't f*cked a woman for a long time. But even so. He wasn't easily triggered like this. Adrian felt Estelle move again. He shifted uncomfortably. He was afraid of the next thing she would do. Then, it happened. Her hands, slow, dangerous and deliberate wrapped around his waist like a serpent. Adrian stilled before letting out a quiet curse. “ Damn it...“ His breathing became slightly laboured as two sides of him fought for control. one didn't want to touch her yet, while the other one wanted to do dark and naughty things to her now. He had to admit, sleeping on the same bed with this woman wasn't a great idea. She was dangerous in sleep just as she was dangerous in battle. ' Control yourself...' He was already regretting his decision. Just as he was about to leave the bed, he heard a faint, soft hum. Adrian's entire body froze. Estelle was waking up. He hastily closed his eyes. And at the same time, he focused on his sense of hearing. The first thing he heard was a change in the rhythm of her breathing, followed by a another soft hum. He felt her pause as if she was assessing something. ' Good. Just look at what you have done. You buffoon.' Adrian thought internally. The he almost chuckled when he felt her trembling, maybe in rage? shame? He was sure it was probably rage though. He felt her make a series of movements before feeling her go static again, probably in disbelief. Adrian felt intense satisfaction despite not knowing why she went still, he had a faint idea. Then he heard her speak. “ Ooooh, damn it.“ Adrian's lips curved imperceptibly, he felt this was the right time for him to ' wake up'. Then slowly his eyes opened as he stared into hers. He enjoyed the look of horror and shock on her face for a while before he spoke in hoarse voice. “Who touched who now?“Adrian crossed the final stretch between the outer district and Frostveil Castle in a series of tremendous leaps. His entire focus remained fixed upon the woman resting quietly in his arms. The mask had long since been removed from her face, allowing him to see her clearly. At some point during the short journey to the castle, Estelle's shoulders had stopped trembling. The tears that had stained her cheeks had dried beneath the relentless wind, but her eyelashes were still damp.Judging by the slow, steady rhythm of her breathing, she had fallen asleep. The battle had drained her far more than he had initially realized. Both her body and mind had been put under great strain, and now exhaustion had wore her down, pulling her to sleep. Her face rested against his chest while one hand remained loosely clenched around his clothing. Even in sleep, she had not let go of him.Adrian's cold eyes scrutinized Estelle's face. This was the very woman who had once sought to kill him. The same defi
The massive black wolf leading Frostveil's forces abruptly slowed.Behind him, hundreds of werewolves followed suit. Snow exploded beneath their paws as they skidded across the frozen plains, carving deep trenches into the frozen ground. The wolf leaped and shifted mid air. It dark fur receded and it's size shrank. Moments later, a man landed upon the snow in human form. His pale blue eyes immediately swept across the snowy plains. Then his steps slowed down. The sight before Adrian wasn't what he had expected when he came rushing back from the south. When the deadly battle with the rogue werewolves had neared it's conclusion, the remainder of them had gleefully told Adrian that they were just a decoy and Frostveil was currently under siege. This made Adrian almost lose control on the spot. After mercilessly finishing them off, he and his pack had rushed back in futile hopes of making back in time. He had concluded that whoever was attempting to raid Frostveil when he was away would
A deafening boom rang out across the battlefield as a Beta crashed violently into the snow. Moments later, another warrior was hurled through the air before slamming into a tree hard enough to knock him unconscious on impact.Minutes passed, accompanied by an endless chorus of pained grunts, breaking wood, and bodies crashing into the frozen landscape.Near the western gates, the Frostveilian soldiers stood rooted to the spot in stunned disbelief. These were men and women who had marched here fully prepared to lay down their lives defending their home, yet none of them could believe what they were witnessing.A single woman was holding back an entire invasion force by herself.No.Holding back was the wrong phrase. She was effortlessly destroying them. One after another, Silvervale's warriors were sent crashing into the snow, trees, and even their own comrades. The werewolves fell, No matter how many charged her, the outcome remained unchanged. The battlefield had become a spectacle of
“ Remember, our objective is simple.”Near Frostveil's western border, a tall werewolf marched at the head of the formation. His voice carried effortlessly across the snow-covered plains, reaching every warrior behind him.“ Inflict as much damage upon Frostveil as possible.”A cruel smile spread across his face.“ Burn what you can. Destroy what you cannot take. And if an opportunity presents itself...” His eyes gleamed with malice. “ Bring back as many women and children as possible. Perhaps even Frostveil's new Luna... if she's here, that is.”"Understood, sir!"The surrounding Betas answered in unison, their voices echoing across the frozen landscape. That last part hadn't been included in the official mission, but Darius had secretly instructed them to do it if the opportunity arose.“ Good. Another grim reminder.... We have at most forty minutes before Frostveil's main forces return."The leading Alpha's grin widened.“ Perhaps if one of the women we bring back catches Lord Dari
Estelle stood frozen like a statue. A bitter feeling rose within her chest, spreading through her like poison. The wolves she had grown up with and the same wolves who had bled beside her.She should have been happy to see the pack that belonged to the place she once called home.Yet as she stared at the approaching force, she felt nothing resembling relief or joy. If she were to describe what she felt, it would be something close to numbness. The sight that should have filled her with familiarity left a hollow ache lingering deep inside her chest instead. The silver cloaks fluttering in the wind. The insignias she had spent her entire life revering...All of it felt distant and unfamiliar, As though she were looking upon fragments of a life that no longer belonged to her.For a brief moment, memories surfaced. The camaraderie she felt as she crouched low along with her pack as they stalked prey.Victory celebrations that stretched long into the night. The countless missions she had u
“ Take me to the roof. There's something I want to inspect there.” Darnon's gaze lingered on her briefly. This was the first time Estelle had ordered him. Maybe she noticed something? He bowed slightly. “ As you wish.” The two of them moved through the castle without another word. The higher they climbed, the quieter everything became. The heartbeats of servants slowly became distant. The steady breathing of the guards faded. Only the distant howl of the wind remained. Several minutes later, they emerged onto the highest section of the castle. They were greeted with the cold air that brushed past the rooftop. The castle's rooftop was a masterpiece of dark and formidable architecture. Several towers rose from different sections of the fortress, their obsidian bodies stretching toward the heavens like black sentinels standing eternal watch over Frostveil. Some were broad and imposing, while others were slender and elegant, connected by elevated walkways and narrow ston
Estelle found herself unable to sleep no matter how desperately she tried. She also felt a little troubled with Adrian's silence. ' Maybe he decided to sleep?' She reasoned. The blizzard still raged beyond the walls of the castle. The hearth had long since surrendered its final embers, leaving th
The cold wind howled with feral aggression, slamming against the shutters with the impatience of a caged beast. Estelle clutched the woolen blanket tighter around her shoulders, shuddering violently despite it's thick layers. The tremors ran deep, past muscle and into bone. And as if fate intende
Estelle stood on the balcony. Her hands gripped the iron railings until her knuckles turned white. Her Jet-black hair fell forward in heavy curtains, obscuring her face from the world. Then the cold wind came, it swept her hair aside, revealing her cheeks that were beet red.The embarrassing memor
Adrian strode out of his study without another word. His steps echoed down the hall, purposeful. He soon arrived in front of Estelle's door. His boots struck the stone in a steady, deliberate rhythm, each step echoing down the empty corridor like a countdown. He didn’t knock when he reached her d
