Adrian stared at the woman in his arms. Her light brown skin which usually had a vibrant sheen was sickly pale. For some reason, he hated seeing her like this.

Several maids let out a collective gasp when they saw her walk past, a maid even dropped a basket of folded linens before hastily picking it up.
