Carmen glanced around the corner and saw three Federation spec ops troopers further down the corridor guarding Michelle Gaven's apartment door. Apart from the troopers the corridor was empty and from the looks of it that wasn't going to change. She glanced down at her wrist watch and saw that she only had a few minutes before Amelia would be in complete control of the buildings security systems. Carmen had given the AI specific instructions to hack into the system and plant a virus. If Amelia was as good as she claimed the officers in the security room wouldn’t even notice the intrusion. She was beginning to appreciate having an AI with her during her missions. Amelia did come in handy when she was needed. Hopefully all the security cameras would be shut down once Amelia was finished.
"Are you almost done?" She asked Amelia, her voice just above a whisper.
Carmen didn't get a response, so she patiently waited as she watched four more t
Carmen had been roaming around Michelle Gaven's apartment for several minutes now. She amassed anything that could be of any use to her yet, but she felt if she went in the right room, she would find what she was looking for. Mina had told her earlier that she had found out that Michelle had been conducting an investigation in Alicia Alexander's disappearance. A small part of Carmen speculated that Alicia was a real person. It was possible that the voice in her mind could be Alicia telepathically trying to communicate with her. Although after the dream she had and what she had seen in the mirror earlier during the day she knew it wasn't that. The only explanation she could come to was that she must've have been Alicia Alexander. Carmen was having a tough time believing that, she couldn't even remember anything that happened six months ago never mind her whole life. She shook her head and tried to rid her mind of all these thoughts as she walked into another room.
Carmen stood in the living room as she watched Michelle slowly walk to where she was. It was a surreal moment. So many thoughts and questions had flooded her mind. She knew that in the end there was no end result where Michelle walked out of all this alive. It wasn't a good thought, but as far as Carmen was concerned it had to be done. before her last moments she was going to get what, she wanted, even if she had to force her to tell. As Michelle made it to the living room Carmen saw something in her eyes. It was that look people have when they are in disbelief when the truth is right in front of them. Carmen found this woman very intriguing upon first glance, she knew that killing her was going to be difficult."Brenna, lights on."Carmen watched as the lights came on and suddenly the look on Michelle's face went from unbelief to shock."So, it really is you, you have no idea what I've had to do to track you down."
Everything inside the interrogation room shined like it was bought the day before. Metal tables, chairs, even the walls were stainless steel and Carmen sat there in restraints. Her mind whirled around like a tornado hell bent on destruction. She was going to get out of here one way or the other. She would have to use all the skills she acquired during her training. Inside her mouth she felt for the wire that she placed on the side of her gums. Carmen quickly spat it out and it fell in her lap. She strained herself as she tried to grip it with her restrained hands. Her wrists were bound in front of her and she knew that the cameras would probably show what she did. It was a quick motion so she might have a chance if she kept the interrogators attention focused on her face. She had no idea of who would be coming in to question her, she hoped that it was a woman because it would be difficult to overpower a man or several men in such a small space.
Her mind was focused on one thing, getting out of this base alive. It was going to be a monumental task considering that she wasn't able to contact anyone on the outside at this point. She was too busy fighting soldiers to worry about if help was coming. The alarms in the base were blaring and she knew that it was only a matter of time before they found a way to put her down. The good thing about Carmen was that she wasn't a soldier which meant she didn't always fight in the open. Her best friend was the shadows, its where she was the deadliest. Throughout her training her instructors praised her for always striking from the darkness. Right now, her primary goal was to find the armory and get her affects back. If she was going to survive this then she would need Amelia's help. No doubt her AI was missing her and she needed the extra help. She ran past several guards who didn't know she was the loose captive and took advantage of the situation. She
She was the epitome of sinister. Her dark motivations are what got her the position of Commander. Where ever she went people feared her while they were in her presence. She demanded respect from everyone she knew and she always got what she wanted. What killed her the most was that she was about to demand something from a woman who was her exact opposite. Demonya knew all about Carmen Veila, she knew her past, she knew about Project Alpha and she knew about her memory loss condition. She had been sticking her nose into Commander Foreshon's files since she had complete access to them. She was well aware of who Carmen really was and she was going to make sure that she never found out.Demonya had been planning this for months now and her plan had taken an unexpected turn when she heard that Carmen had been captured. The news had traveled quick through the ranks and when it reached her she had to adjust her plans. In order for her idea of the perfect assassin to be
Mina sat the controls for the Avenger as she watched the recording of Demonya and Carmen's private conversation. Not many people in the Syndicate knew how to hack a triple firewalled sever and access any camera anywhere on the Oasis. Mina just happened to have years of experience doing it. She knew just how to hack into any sever, computer and security system with ease. She had been looking into a lot of what Carmen had asked of her earlier. As it turned out, Carmen was the wife of a Major in the Federation military. His name wasn't in the files that she had found due to the fact that she couldn't view everything. The files that she had pulled up were encrypted and so far, the decryption process only showed his rank and last name. It proved that Carmen indeed was Alicia Alexander and had currently been married for three years. That meant that Carmen was twenty-one years old, which meant that her daughter was seven years old.The name of her daughter was also unk
Carmen stood in a large crowd of people who were waiting to get inside the command center to attend her funeral. She had been waiting in line for over an hour and was getting highly impatient. She had gone to extreme measures to conceal her true identity. She wore leather pants, a white blouse and a leather jacket with a hood attached. She wasn't sure who she was hiding from being she still had no idea what her husband and daughter looked like. Carmen figured that her daughter probably looked like her so it wouldn't be too hard to spot her. Her husband on the other hand, it would probably be more difficult to spot him."Remember the man from your dream Alicia."Carmen heard the voice and closed her eyes and pictured the man in her dream at her wedding. Brown skinned, muscular, deep reserved voice and that smile. She couldn't get his smile out of her mind. If the man from her dream was indeed her husband than she could see why she had fallen
2459 January 22, Zebulon. She woke up to the smell of eggs, pancakes and toast. She looked around at the beautifully decorated master bedroom and wondered how she got there. It felt like she had been asleep for a long time. As she began to think about it she didn't even remember going to sleep. She listened to the sounds of a news broadcast and heard a female's voice coming from another room. She got out the bed and went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror at herself. She gasped in awe at her reflection. Her weight had changed, her hair was a shiny black and her eyes were blue instead the color she had remembered them being. As she stood there, she tried to communicate with the voice that had been stuck in her head for months. The voice didn't respond and it made her feel awkward.Just what in the hell was going on? The last thing she could remember was being at her funeral and then everything
