Maya’s pov

No one liked my idea of helping the vampires find their lost moonstone. I had a feeling that that was the only way we could put an end to the centuries-old animosity between them and the wolves. Regardless, I let it go once everyone including several alphas and our betas, voiced their opinions. Vince, however, didn’t entirely disagree with me, although I bet he had second thoughts about lending our arch enemies a hand.

So that was that. All the packs prepared for war while I kept pondering where the moonstone could have gone. If the wolves weren’t involved, it must have been the handiwork of the witches. I found myself thinking about it whenever I found a few minutes to myself during my busy schedule. I truly wanted to put an end to the rivalry. Without it, we wouldn’t have real peace. The vampires would continue to attack and we wolves would have to counterattack or defend ourselves. It would be a constant fight for survival.

  • Dear Alpha. I'm Not Your Mate   Accomplishment

Maya's povWe sent some spies to keep an eye on the abandoned mansion the rogues used as their retreat. As Roger had mentioned, we expected Moon and his girl to return eventually. As days passed by, we decided to make it easier for us to monitor the location by installing CCTV cameras. More groups of warriors were sent to the area to capture more rogues. Roger was a great help. He wanted to save his sister from the living the life of a loner, but that could only work if she and her family were ready to accept our pack as theirs. While some of them screamed bloody murder in the dungeons, some of them calmed down after speaking with Roger and other wolves who joined Silverstone. They had a long way to go and I was willing to give them time to adjust, but without their desire to cooperate, there was only so much I could do.Those who wanted to join the pack quickly submitted to us and accepted me as their queen. Roger worked hard for especially her sister’s family to accept us and his h

Maya’s pov“Where are the pups?” I asked. “They could be lying,” Vince warned as he gestured the warriors to check every room in the mansion. “No, we aren’t. We maybe loners, but we also have families. Some of us really trying to live better, you know,” one of the rogues said. “His family has their own house, but mine lives here. It is late and my mate will be pissed if they woke the pups up.”My lips twitched. “Why live in the wilderness while you can join a pack? It is safer and more stable that way. The pups can have a better future and access to proper education,” I said. He scoffed. “Why would I go back to a place that didn’t want me in the first place? Well, my father was a criminal. I get that. He backstabbed his alpha and was executed. But why did they feel the need to banish our family? I was young, but I am pretty sure my mother was harmless.”I raised a brow. “How long ago was this?”He shrugged his shoulders. “I don’t know… I was five when all that happened. My sister w

  • Dear Alpha. I'm Not Your Mate   Library

Maya’s povI was not disappointed with the library. It was gigantic and I loved it. But we didn’t have the whole day to explore the whole place unfortunately, so we went straight to the history section. “Where is that book? The history of werewolves…” mumbled Nancy, as she scrutinized through the neatly packed stacks of books. She seemed to be focused on finding something in particular while I was mesmerized by the number of books in front of me. It was so satisfying. I bet it had all the books by my favourite author. Heck, had I found out about this place sooner, I wouldn't have left it.“So many books,” I whispered, awestruck. I tried to peer at the fictional section, but looked away. That could wait. This needed our urgent attention. “Yeah,” she muttered as she led me deeper into the library. “But we better focus. These are the history books…” she mumbled, carefully studying the titles and the covers of the thick, dust covered books. “I am looking for one specific book…” I sighe

  • Dear Alpha. I'm Not Your Mate   Begrudge

Maya’s povOur requests for an appointment went unanswered. Neither Alpha Gerret nor Rachel responded to our emails and our attempts to speak with them on the phone was rather unprofessional. That was rather unprofessional in my opinion. So we did what we had to. Vince and I prepared a squadron of warriors to accompany us when we visited their pack. We looked like we were going for war, but we had to take every precaution to protect ourselves. As expected, the guards didn’t allow us to enter. Even after formally requesting we were told to leave. Alpha Gerret and his family refused to see us.“We didn’t travel all the way for nothing. If the matter wasn’t extremely important, we wouldn’t have come here. As you can see, we aren’t alone. The elders who served the royal family are here with us. You must allow us inside,” Vince demanded, glaring into the guard’s eyes. He didn’t look like he would back off and I found that so fucking hot. Holding back the smirk curling on my lips, I also s

  • Dear Alpha. I'm Not Your Mate   The Lost Princess

Maya's povI knew that convincing my pack members to accept me as their royal would be a breeze. It was the alphas and elite members of other packs I had doubts about. Especially those who had a bad history with us. Especially Alpha Gerret, his family and Chad.Despite my not-so-friendly encounters with them in the past, I had to look past all that and work with them. As their queen, it would be my duty to unite all the werewolves under the throne. That would be possible if they were willing to accept me as their superior. If they refused, I feared what the elders might declare. On top of having to deal with what the vampires might transpire once they awaken from their slumber, I'd have a bigger problem to deal with. Regardless of all the negative thoughts, I invited them all for a meeting. It had to be done. The elders and my council would be there for support, and I trusted my guards enough to react in accordance lest an uprising occur. I expected a nasty response from Moonshine
