I couldn’t understand what I had just heard.

“Leon.” I rose to my feet.

Leon ignored me, his eyes remained on Kenna. I gripped the hem of my skirt as I waited for him to look at him.

“You kissed me, Leon.” When I couldn’t wait any longer, I blurted out the truth.

A dark glare was instantly sent my way, and it made my heart shutter.

“Yeah, I did, and I got some good cash doing it too.” Leon made his way to me. “Do you know how traumatized I feel to subject myself to something as disgusting as that.”

My heart lodged in my throat. Back when we were kids, Leon would always stand up for me, but this was something else.

“Listen to me, Alyson. I did you a favor. As a matter of fact, you should be thanking me for giving you an experience you would not have in a long time.” Leon chuckled, and everyone in the hall started laughing.

“Right,” Kenna stepped forward. “She’s making look like you were happy doing it.” She said, and turned to me, her body resting on Leon’s arm. “You’d never be worth it, Alyson. To make things easier, it’s best you kill yourself.”

The tears I had been trying to hold back fell down freely. My vision blurred, and I turned around.

Leon had humiliated me right in front of everybody.

“Kenna, you went too far.” I heard Leon say as I hurriedly walked away.

“No one cares about her. I’m sure her parents would be glad to have one less mouth to feed.” Kenna said, and pain struck me even more.

“That’s enough!” Leon’s loud voice resounded in the hall, but I was too hurt to actually care.

If they wanted to keep talking about me, that’s their problem.

The bell rang for the class, and I walked to my seat.

No one was in class yet, so I did my best to calm down. There was no way I would let more attention be drawn towards me.

I brought out my novel, and continued writing, allowing myself to be whisked away by the fantastical imaginations that pulled at my heart.

This was my safe haven and it was the place I called home.

I was so engrossed that I didn’t realize the door to the class was open.

“Oh, little miss author is writing her book.”

The voice jolted me back to reality.

“Kenna,” Her name left a bitter after taste in my mouth, but at the same time, I was filled with fear.

Closing the book, I brought it up to my chest. “What are you doing here?”

In a second, my question was answered with a slap. My face turned to the other side, and my cheek stung.

The girls who had accompanied Kenna laughed, but I was left bewildered.

“Because of you, Leon yelled at me, and you think I’m going to let that go scot free.” A smirk appeared on her lips, while she glared at me.

Rage filled me instantly, “How is it my fault that you are such a lousy human being?” I ignored the way her face twisted in rage.

“It’s not my fault that you can’t satisfy your boyfriend. He even had to find another girl to do it.”

As soon as I made that statement, my head whipped to the side, and I tasted blood.

This time it wasn’t a slap, but it was a full blow.

“Guys, come in.” Kenna called, her eyes sparkled with a dark glint.

Before I knew what was happening, more ladies stepped into the room, and I was cornered.

“Kenna, you are going to regret this.” I spat out the blood from my mouth.

“The only thing I’d regret is not putting you in your place from the beginning.” She said, and gave a signal to the girls around.

I tried to struggle but their sheer quantity was too much for me.

A rope came into my line of sight, and my hands were pulled behind me.

“I made sure the teacher wouldn’t be hear anytime soon.” Her slippery voice floated into my ears.

I was tied down, and there was way to call for help.

A gag was placed in my mouth, and Kenna stared at me, like she was looking at a prized possession.

“I have wondered if fat people were truly sexy.” A dark smirk came on her lips, and dread instantly filled me. I shook my head frantically but my pleas were ignored.

RIP!!

With her fingers, Kenna ripped open my shirt, and my tears fell. There was really nothing I could do.

Why was the universe so against me?

I had tried to avoid this, but Leon…

He was the one who came to me. Why do I have to suffer when I did absolutely nothing wrong?

The tears burned my cheeks as they flowed down. Kenna’s phone made shutter sounds as she took pictures.

“Stay away from Leon, Alyson. You will never be good enough for someone like him.” She muttered, a small smile spreading across her lips.

‘I don’t care about your boyfriend.’ I screamed out in my head.

But she was oblivious, along with her party.

“Loose the ropes, our work here is done.”

With a loud snip, the ropes fell off my hands but I had already become numb.

I couldn’t understand it. I did nothing to deserve all of this. The echoing sounds of their laughter blurred in my ears.

“Oh and this… Someone like you doesn’t deserve to dream.” Kenna said, and the tearing sound of paper filled the air.

I watched in horror as the pieces fell to the ground. There was nothing I could do. I could barely see the letters on the paper, there was no way to place them back together.

The waterworks flowed down my face again, and I rushed out through the back door.

My sobs racked through my body while I slowly wore my jacket.

Not seeing the clear path, I bumped into someone, crashing straight on to the floor.

“Hey, I’m sorry.”

I recognized that voice instantly and my head shot up. Leon was staring down at me, with the same surprised look.

You’d be following Leon to school now, it’s easier that way. Leave me alone, Leo!” I rose to my feet, cleaning off the tears in my eyes.Leo didn’t move, and I saw what looked like genuine concern as he spoke, “You were crying? What happened?” I scoffed. Was he trying to fool me? After that stunt he pulled in the hallway?“You happened, Leon. I allowed you back into my life, and now you have made it a living hell.” My voice was raised but I didn’t care.My destination was getting far from this place, and especially not planning to stumble on him.“Alyson,” Leon blocked my path, and his hand came to my face, “Who hit you?”My stomach twisted from disgust, and the urge to vomit welled up in my throat, overwhelming me.Leon narrowed his eyes, “Alyson.”I couldn’t take it anymore, and my hand landed on his face. “Stay away from me.” I spat.
