ELISHA’S POV

How could he say that to me?

I stared at Anthony, still reeling. His words hadn't just cut—they sliced through everything that held me together. The bile in my throat tasted like shame and rage.

It was my own fault.

For being soft. For believing that if I stayed kind, stayed composed, I’d earn some basic decency in return.

But no—what I got was public humiliation from the man who once held my hand and vowed to be with me, in sickness and in health, till death do us part.

Anthony would never speak to Natalie that way. Not even if she tried. He would find a way to justify her, shield her.

He did it all the time. Always had.

So what was I missing? What part of me had made it so easy for him to spit those words in my face?

Did I have to become her to be respected?

Fine.

“Sounds like projection, Anthony,” I said, my voice steady, controlled. “You’re the one spending all your time with another woman instead of your own wife. Or… ex-wife.”

The word snapped like a whip.

Ex-wi

ANTHONY’S POVI watched her leaving with Sylvester, moving through the party crowd like she belonged. That had been my plan. Reinstate the balance. Make the family see her place. Show her she needed us. Instead, she had walked away with more respect than I’d given her in months. I clenched my glass, letting the warmth of the cognac seep into my hand. It wasn’t enough. When she had refused me in the pantry—standing so close I could feel her warmth—it had twisted something deep inside me. I tapped my index finger against the glass and knew then I’d crossed an unspoken line. I had to pull her back. But not just for me. For the empire. For the image. I had to make them believe she couldn’t do without me—even though nights alone had given me plenty of time to worry I might not want her back.I had pulled every string I possessed to ensure she had no real options. Calls to old friends, relatives; my assistant even dropped a note to employers hinting that hiring “Elisha Möller” might ups

ELISHA’S POVI slid the leash around Bubblegum’s neck as she wagged, tail swishing like a metronome.“There we go, baby girl.” I stood and turned to Robert. “Where to now?”“Hmm… aquarium?” he asked. “They might not allow pets… how about a park instead?” “No, I actually found one that does allow small dogs. It’s called Blue Escape.” Bubblegum gave a hopeful bark.“Seems like she likes it,” I said. “Perfect. And it’s a 20 minute walk away!” he exclaimed. ***The aquarium entrance loomed ahead. A quiet buzz of families and hushed excitement drifted out when we opened the door. Inside, cool air and soft lighting welcomed us. Bubblegum sniffed the air and took a cautious step forward. The first exhibit was a giant tank of gently swaying kelp. Warm, blue-green light cast dancing patterns across the floor. Whale song pulsed from hidden speakers. The deep, rhythmic notes felt like a lullaby.“This place is peaceful,” I said quietly, as if afraid to disturb the calm.Robert nodded, looki

  • Dear CEO, I Want a Divorce   Chapter 44

ELISHA’S POVThe moment I stepped back into the hall beside Sylvester, the energy in the room shifted. It was subtle, but it was there—the quiet hush of conversation, the sideways glances, the ripple of realization. This man beside me—this warm, brilliant, sharp-eyed man—was loved by everyone. And more importantly, respected. Not just because he was old, not just because of his success, but because of the way he carried himself. With grace. With thought. With real care for people.Sylvester Möller didn’t hand out affection lightly. So when he entered the room, arm in arm with me, the gossip paused. The doubts wavered. The whispers stopped—at least for now.He didn’t rush. Every step was measured. Every nod to a guest, every polite smile, was deliberate. Behind us, my family followed—Anthony with a clenched jaw, my parents with stiff expressions, and trailing at the very back… Natalie and Yasmin. And suddenly, Natalie was the runt of the litter. She was no longer the glowing center.

ELISHA’S POVI didn’t hear the front door open. I didn’t hear the footsteps.I only heard the voice.“Well, this is quite the reunion.”Anthony.He stepped in, a look of both confusion and curiosity stark on his face. Behind him came another voice… “What’s going on here, is there a meeting?” Yasmin. Great. My stomach dropped.Natalie, still curled on the sofa like a staged photograph, suddenly gasped and pressed a hand to her lower abdomen.“Ow,” she said, her voice small and sharp. “It hurts. I think the baby… Oh my god, I don’t know, I’m cramping!”Immediately, everyone turned toward her.My mother rushed to her side. “Get her water.”“I’ll ask the staff for a hot water bag,” said my father.“Dominic, add another log to the fire,” Mom added quickly. “She’s too cold.”They scrambled. A flurry of movement. Fuss. Concern.Meanwhile, Natalie leaned her head back against the cushion and looked right at me.She smiled. It wasn’t kind. It wasn’t grateful. It was pointed. Precise. Like

ELISHA’S POVI couldn’t feel my legs.I stood there, in a familiar yet alien room, surrounded by familiar yet alien faces. “I don’t want to marry anybody,” I said quietly. My voice didn’t even shake. I thought it would. But it came out clear.“This is no longer about your wants, Elisha,” my father said. His tone was patient, but heavy. “We have a legacy to uphold. If we all went around doing whatever we wanted, there would be no empire.”There it was.The word they loved more than anything else.Empire.He said it like it was something noble. Something holy. But it wasn’t. It was a business. A name. A reputation. It wasn’t love. It wasn’t life.It definitely wasn’t mine. Not anymore. I looked at him. My father. The man who once held my hand through every dentist appointment, who used to call me “princess” and bring me a flower on the first day of school every year without fail. I looked at my mother. The woman who sat on the edge of my bed when I had nightmares, who made tea and w

  • Dear CEO, I Want a Divorce   Chapter 41

ELISHA’S POVI wasn’t sure when Natalie had slithered close enough to rest her hand on Anthony’s shoulder, but I saw it there—soft and possessive—just before he brushed it off and nodded toward the hallway.“Come on,” he said to me. “Lead the way.”I didn’t answer. Just turned and walked. We moved through the crowd in silence. The room was full—guests in pearls and pressed collars, drinks in hand, conversation light and meaningless. I could feel some people looking. A few smiled and greeted me like nothing was wrong, like they hadn’t heard any of the whispers. Others avoided eye contact completely. And then there were those—the ones who gave me soft, sad eyes, full of pity or sympathy, like I was a wounded bird still fluttering around the party.I kept walking. I didn’t flinch. These people knew nothing about the truth.Behind me, I could feel Anthony. Not because I turned to check. I didn’t need to. His presence carried. Heavy. Electric. Like a current just beneath my skin.I led h
