Serena

Conall had fallen asleep next to me on the bed while we were watching a movie. He has had a busy week, so he will be exhausted. I will leave him to sleep. I glance down at him, smiling. He is so beautiful. He looks peaceful as he sleeps. It is nice to see. I sigh and turn away from him, focusing on the movie. Our conversation from earlier is running through my head. I am surprised it took him so long to bring it up, but I am glad he did, because it gave me time to sort out my feelings. I

ConallI am meeting my mom for lunch since I haven’t seen her in a couple of weeks. She invited me to go to hers for lunch, but I am taking her out instead. She was going to come by the office to meet me, but I talked her out of that because my sperm donor is kicking about and I don’t want her to have to deal with him. He has been staying out of my way, but that would change if my mom came in. He would take the opportunity to say something to her to make her feel bad, and if that happened, I would have punched him. I am meeting her at the restaurant. She told me to invite Serena, but she is meeting with a couple of women today who want to open their own business, and Serena wants to help them out. She is great like that. Money has never been something that Serena is bothered with. She will help whom she can.I finish up and head out. As I step into the elevator, the bastard follows me in. Great! He is the last person I want to be in here with. I don’t acknowledge him. I keep my eyes o

I am happy to be with him, but my walls aren’t completely down. That will take. Conall didn’t need to come back, but he chose to, and I am glad he did because I would still be missing him. I still worry I will mess it all up. I shouldn’t be thinking such things, but I can’t help myself.I shake my head and carefully climb out of the bed. I sneak out of the room and to the kitchen. I am only going to make some tea; hopefully, that will help me sleep. I go for a lemon tea and

ConallThings have been good the last couple of weeks, quiet. There have been no issues, which has been great. I want to talk with Serena tonight. I have given her time. I haven’t pushed, but we need to work out exactly what we are. I just hope it doesn’t change all the good to bad, and her walls go flying back up. That is the last thing I want, but it is a conversation that needs to be had.I am on my way to her with dinner. I nipped out to get it. None of us could be assed cooking tonight. I also picked up a nice bottle of wine. I return to her place, letting myself in and find her on the sofa, reading. The same place she was before I left. I don’t think she has moved an inch. I chuckle, and it makes her look up.“That was quick.”“I left like forty-five minutes ago, not too quick.”“Really, it feels like ten minutes ago,” she snickers.“You must have been lost in your book.”I set everything down on the table and go to the kitchen to get plates, glasses and cutlery for us.“It smel

Conall Morgan has disappeared. I don’t know if she is somewhere in the building, or if Henry called to tell her the game is up and she needs to leave. I hope she is already gone, so that I don’t need to deal with her. I sit at my desk, tapping my fingers on the desk as I wait for Serena to arrive. My office door opens, and my head shoots up, expecting it to be Serena. I am soon disappointed when I realise it is Morgan. “Hey, handsome, did you miss me?” she snickers and strolls towards my desk. I guess Henry hasn’t called her then if she is still acting in such a way. “No, he didn’t miss you, and he won’t when you leave in two seconds.” The sound of Serena’s voice makes me smile, but Morgan freezes. After a second, Morgan turns to Serena. “Who are you?” Serena strolls confidently towards her. “I am Serena. Conall’s girlfriend.” “Good for you.” Serena laughs at the comeback. “It is time for you to leave, Morgan, if that is even your real name. We know what this is. You were sen

Serena I walk straight towards Henry’s office, ignoring the people who are calling after me to stop. I am on a mission, and none of them is going to get in my way. I pick up my speed and arrive at his office in no time, barging into his office. What I find is not what I expected, but it works perfectly for me. He is sitting at his desk, shirt open, and the same woman from the restaurant is straddling him in only her underwear. They jump apart when they hear someone come in.“You really should lock your door when you are about to scew some woman in your office. God, how I wish Felicity were here to see this.” I laugh and snap a couple of photos before they can make themselves presentable. “What the fuck are you doing here? You have no right to be here.” He snaps, the panic clear in his voice. The woman pulls her clothes on and rushes out without another word. Henry jumps to his feet, storming over to me, his eyes narrowed and his face red from anger. “I have every right to be here.

Conall I am trying to focus at work, but I can’t. I am on edge about Serena going to see Henry. I should never have agreed to it. I don’t even know when she is going to see him. Soon, hopefully. I should have been the one to go with the photos, but Serena insisted, and I learned quickly that there is no point in trying to change her mind once it is made up. She is very headstrong. I sigh and rest back against my chair. I check my cell to see if there is anything from Serena, but there is nothing. Then again, it is only nine-thirty. Henry probably won’t even be in yet. He doesn’t do early mornings in the office. I massage my temples and take a few deep breaths, trying to calm my anxiety and not let my anger towards Henry flow over, because if I go to see him, then I will end up punching him, and once I start, I won’t want to stop. As much fun as that would be for me, it wouldn’t end well. I would end up in jail when he pressed charges against me. He wouldn’t hesitate to do so. My o

Conall I enter the office, feeling good after my morning with Serena. I had a spring in my step, ready to start my day. I smile and say hello to everyone as I go to my office. I would have much preferred to stay home with Serena, but I need to work. She is coming to mine tonight, well, maybe, she

ConallI am not sure if I made the right choice, agreeing to continue with Serena, but I am willing to give it a try. She knows where I stand and what needs to change. SerenaI woke a little while ago. Conall is still asleep next to me. His alarm will go off soon, but I have a better way to wake him. One thing I am sure he would appreciate more. I smirk, carefully climbing out of bed and going to use the bathroom, freshening myself up before I slip back into bed.

SerenaI am nervous as I wait for Conall. What did his father say to him? It must have something to do with me if he asked to meet and it couldn’t wait until tonight. I can imagine the things he said. He never did like me. He tried to hit on me once while I was married to Henry. I shot him down, an
