Sandra’s POV

“He’s going to be so shocked to see me here,” I whispered under my breath, staring at the entrance of an office inside Turner Empire. My fingers gently tapped the side of my bag as I waited, heart pounding softly against my chest.

It felt strange being here—so close to him again after all these years. I had no idea what to expect, but I knew one thing for sure: Liam had no clue I was coming.

“Would you like some coffee or tea?” a petite woman in a sharp black suit asked. She had a polite smile on her face, and from where I sat—directly across from her desk—I could see the name badge on the door behind her: Liam Musk.

Yup, I had done my little investigation while she stepped out for a few minutes.

“Never mind. I’m good,” I replied with a small smile, shaking my head politely.

As I glanced down at my phone to check the time, I noticed the zipper on my bag had opened slightly. A moment later, my key slipped out and hit the tiled floor with a soft clink. Bending down to pick

Daisy’s POVIt’s been a few days since the whole “me pushing Sandra” incident happened. I’ve had some time to think things through. I finally spoke to Liam, and he promised me he wouldn’t behave like that again. He said he was sorry. He said he understood how I felt. So, for now, I’ve decided to stay away from Sandra. I want to focus on my husband. On us. On fixing whatever this thing is that’s slowly pulling us apart.I let it go once. I didn’t raise hell. But let her try me again—I swear, if Sandra comes for me one more time, I will not hold back. The phone on my desk rang loudly, breaking the silence in my office. I reached for it and answered.“Hello, Madam President. She just arrived,” the voice from security said.I didn’t need to ask who “she” was. I already knew. Sandra. Again.I had told security to inform me every time she entered the building. It’s not like I planned to do anything—yet. I just needed to know when the snake was slithering around my husband’s office. How I wi

DAISY’S POVEven I couldn’t believe the words that just came out of my mouth. My lips moved faster than my brain. The room felt warm a minute ago, but now it was like all the air had been sucked out. My chest felt heavy, like I was sinking. Time itself seemed to slow down, as if the world had stopped spinning for just a moment.“I’m sorry… that’s why we didn’t want to tell you,” one of the girls beside me whispered softly. My eyes widened. I had asked too many questions, poked around where I shouldn't have. I let my stupid curiosity take over, and now I was paying the price for it.I lifted my head slowly and looked at each of the girls standing there. Every single one of them looked down, ashamed or maybe just too afraid to meet my eyes. None of them said a word. Their silence louder than anything else.Except Sandra. She didn’t look away. She stood at the other end of the room, that annoying smile still stuck on her face. Her eyes met mine and she turned her gaze away and looked ahe

Sandra’s POV“Uhm… I think I should give you guys some space,” I said, quickly grabbing my bag and turning around to leave. My heart was beating fast, and I didn’t want to be caught in some messy drama. No way. I walked past Liam’s secretary, who gave me a strange look, and made it to the door. I could feel everyone’s eyes on me. I could hear them whispering.Let them whisper for all I care.If they think I’m just some desperate ex or a mistress, I really don’t care. All I care about is getting back what’s mine.Liam.Once I got outside, I pulled out my phone and dialed. “Can you come pick me up? Ugh… the sun is so hot,” I complained, rolling my eyes. I wasn’t in the mood for anything else to go wrong today. In just a few minutes, my best friend Blaire pulled up in her sleek black SUV. She always knew how to show up when I needed her.“Hey boo,” she said with a bright smile, giving me a kiss on both cheeks like always. “So, how did it go?” she asked, raising one of her perfect brows.

Daisy's POV“What did I tell you? Match made in heaven!” I heard one of the girls cheer, followed by a few others laughing and clapping. But I couldn’t move. I stood there frozen, eyes wide, heart pounding. My mouth was slightly open, too shocked to close it. I couldn’t believe what I had just seen.My eyes scanned the room as fast as my mind was racing. And then I saw Liam, his eyes were doing the same thing. Searching for me. I could see it in his face, the panic, the guilt. Like he hoped I didn’t see what had just happened. But I did.The moment burned into my memory and I doubt it'll ever come out.People around the hall started moving, heading toward the trio up front. The ones everyone was talking about. I stayed in my spot, completely still and alone. Everyone was celebrating, laughing, smiling like it was the happiest moment of the night. But me? I was just trying to breathe.I felt the sting behind my eyes. Tears were coming, and I knew I couldn’t let them fall here. Not in t

Daisy’s POVI looked at myself in the mirror, feeling a mix of nerves and excitement. I was wearing a short black gown Liam had picked out for me. The gown was open at the back, with silver chains forming several "U" shapes across the space. The sleeves were slightly wider at the wrists, adding a touch of elegance. It wasn’t just about showing skin. I loved the dress because Liam chose it for me. That alone made it special. Every time the cool air touched my back, I imagined it was his fingers brushing against my skin.“This is perfect,” I said, smiling at my makeup artist. She nodded proudly, probably happy that I liked it. She had done a really good job—my eyes were soft and natural-looking with neutral shades, and my lips were just glossy enough to shine a little. My hair was in a semi-messy bun, with a few strands falling down at the sides of my face. The whole look was effortless, but still beautiful. I could already imagine Liam’s reaction.“Oh wow, you look absolutely stunning,
