Lyvanne's POV…

He came back the time I needed to be left alone. He came back when I didn't wish to set eyes on any man because right now, to me, all men are the same. They're all liars and monsters in human form.

Why didn't he show up the time I needed him the most? Why now? Could it be that this is the right time I needed him the most and I'm too blind to see it? Because right now, I'm looking for a shoulder to cry on, but is he the right person? Certainly not.

I'm still finding it challengin

  • Dear Ex-wife, Please Come Back    The Vital Documents

Rovan's POV…Damien's words stayed in my mind long after he finished speaking.Someone had accessed Lyvanne's financial accounts.Someone had tampered with her business records. And now, after everything we had discovered at the warehouse, I was beginning to understand that the fire might have been much more than an attempt to destroy her property.I turned toward Damien.“What else did you find?”He exchanged a brief glance with Louis before answering.“The warehouse contained something else.”“And what could that be?" My expression hardened.“Documents.” He replied to me." What kind of documents?” I inquired, anticipating his next words.“Business records, sir.” Damien continued carefully. “Records that were never publicly known to exist.”“Explain.” My brows furrowed. He sighed deeply and proceeded to speak.“During the initial inspection, t

  • Dear Ex-wife, Please Come Back    Who Did This?

Rovan's POV…“What?” She mouthed, staring at me.“I'm serious.”Using the spoon already in my hand, I took a bite.Then…another.Her brows slowly furrowed as she watched me eat.“What are you doing?” She finally asked, as she could no longer hold back her words.“I'm saving your life, actually.” I replied without looking at her.“By eating my food?”“Exactly,” I nodded. “Besides, I cooked it myself. So…”She stared at me as though I had finally lost my mind. Then I took another exaggerated bite.“This is actually superb.” I said, my gaze still on the food.“The fact that you cook it, I'm certain it isn't sweet,” she said. “I'm convinced you don't even like that.”“I love it, and that's the bitter truth.”“You are ridiculous.” She shook her head, clasping her right palm against her temple.“Thank you.” I mumbled.“I wasn't compl

  • Dear Ex-wife, Please Come Back    Ashes and Answers

Rovan's POV…Two days later…It had been two days since the fire. Two days have passed since I watched Lyvanne stand in front of the burning remains of the store she had built with her hands. And for two days, she had barely eaten.Vivienne, her best friend, was here yesterday, and she did everything she could for Lyvanne to eat, but she didn't.She was getting leaner and leaner after every passing second, and it was driving me insane. What should I do to make her eat, at least, even if it's one square meal a day?How long is she going to continue like this?Does she want to starve herself to death? The plate of untouched food was sitting on the small table beside her bed, which was proof that she hadn't eaten anything.I prepared today's food for her, yet she had refused to look at the food, let alone taste it.I stared at the food for several seconds before turning my a

  • Dear Ex-wife, Please Come Back    Beneath the Ashes

Alexander's POV… I hadn't slept. Not because I couldn't. Because every time I closed my eyes, I saw the same image. Lyvanne was standing before the remains of her store. Her face was covered in grief. Her eyes were empty. And behind her, everything she had worked for was reduced to ashes. I sat behind my desk, staring at the files James had placed before me. Since I couldn't sleep, I decided to come to the office as well. Three hours. That was how long we'd been digging. Three hours of financial records, property documents, security reports, and old business transactions. And the deeper we went, the less accidental everything looked. James stood across from my desk, his tablet in hand. “Sir.” He addressed me as his boss, not a friend. Then I looked up with sleepy eyes. “What did you find?” He hesitated. “Something strange.” “How strange?” I raised an eyebrow. “Someone accessed a restricted section of our joint business database.” My brows drew together. “When?”

  • Dear Ex-wife, Please Come Back    The Fire That Reached Me

Alexander's POV…I lay on my bed watching the ceiling as different thoughts occupied my mind, yet I couldn't find the suitable one for my current condition.Yeah, I have been like this for days now. Why?Because I couldn't forget what happened to Lyvanne, and I wished I could help, but will she even appreciate it if I do so?Days ago…I sat in the living room watching the television after coming back from the charity gala. I had been sitting on the couch for almost twenty minutes, staring at nothing in particular while the news played quietly in the background. Then the anchor's voice changed. Her normally calm expression became unusually serious.“Breaking news tonight…”My head that was lowered to my phone earlier finally lifted, my gaze falling on the television screen. Then a picture appeared on the wide screen. For a moment, I didn't understand what I was looking at.Then I saw the familiar glass facade.Or what remained of it.Black smoke covered the sky.Firefighters surrounde

  • Dear Ex-wife, Please Come Back    A Change of Plans

Lucas' POV…People often believed that revenge was driven by anger. They were mistaken.Revenge fueled by anger was reckless.Revenge fueled by patience was profitable.I stood before the floor-to-ceiling window of my private office, watching the city awaken beneath the pale morning sun.Well, I don't need to be a CEO to have a private office, yeah?Lol…The fire from last night dominated every news channel. Yeah, bad news goes faster than good news. But why is it like that?Humans… Gosh.Lyvanne Morales's flagship store.Destroyed.Millions lost.Sympathy poured in from every direction, exactly as expected.Maybe they thought this was the end of her, but I know deep down that she has many other sources of income.Well, I know what I'm fighting for, and my fight can never end in vain.A knock interrupted my

  • Dear Ex-wife, Please Come Back    It's Nothing to Be Helped by an Enemy

Lyvanne’s POVThe silence in the room was deafening, my gaze never leaving him. The atmosphere was so quiet, like a graveyard.I watched Alexander standing frozen by the door, my question still hanging heavily in the air. I was desperate to hear what he had to say.“Why did you help me?” I asked on

  • Dear Ex-wife, Please Come Back    You have a call

Lyvanne's POVThe studio buzzed with pressure, fabric rustled, machines hummed, staff moving quickly as if the very floor beneath them would catch fire if they slowed down.I stood in the center of the busy office, a storm in heels, snapping out instructions like a general in battle. It has always

  • Dear Ex-wife, Please Come Back    You Aren't Safe

Lyvanne’s POVThe faint hum of my laptop filled the room as I clicked the power button. The screen lit up, and then—my heart stopped. A bold, red warning flashed across the screen:“Just because you survive doesn’t mean you are safe.”A cold shiver ran down my

  • Dear Ex-wife, Please Come Back    You Have No Right to Be Here

The engine of the car hummed under my feet, but it was the silence that pressed against my chest. I couldn’t remember the last time I felt this disoriented. My thoughts were scattered, struggling to piece together the events that led us here. The image of Alexander’s bloodied form kept
