Lyvanne's POV…

He came back the time I needed to be left alone. He came back when I didn't wish to set eyes on any man because right now, to me, all men are the same. They're all liars and monsters in human form.

Why didn't he show up the time I needed him the most? Why now? Could it be that this is the right time I needed him the most and I'm too blind to see it? Because right now, I'm looking for a shoulder to cry on, but is he the right person? Certainly not.

I'm still finding it challengin

  • Dear Ex-wife, Please Come Back    The Evidence Needed

Isabella's POV… I waited for what seemed like years just for Jessica Saint to arrive in the city. It was as if she wasn't willing to come back, but she did, at last. Of course, there was no other way to confront Alexander than using his mom, his weakness. He always obeys everything she asks him to do, and I'm certain this one won't be different from the other ones. Indeed, Alexander was a mummy's boy… lol… Guess what, I went to the airport to pick up Mrs. Saint without Alexander's knowledge that his mother was coming back to the city that day. As we drove into the mansion, my eyes landed on Alexander, who seemed to be rushing as though he was heading for an urgent meeting. He halted immediately when he saw the SUV car entering the house. Looking through the window, I could tell how confused and curious he was to comprehend what was happening. Before Mrs. Saint could drop from the car, a f

  • Dear Ex-wife, Please Come Back    The Question Behind the Order

Lyvanne's POV… Louis stood rigidly in the middle of the parlor, his gloved hands clasped behind his back. Rovan, who left us earlier, offered him a seat, but he declined. His face was clouded with anger like someone who was heartbroken. His facial expression meant one thing to me. It's either there was an attack or he has sighted a threat, and he wanted to inform me about it. “Louis,” I finally broke the silence between us. “I occasionally see you looking stressed out and not this moody. If I may ask, what's bothering you, and why are you here for us to discuss rather than waiting for me to return home?” He swallowed, lifted his gaze, and looked at me before averting his gaze away. He hesitated, something he rarely did. “With all due respect…” His gaze returned to me again. “Why did you ask us to go home?” Silence stretched between us for a moment as I sat o

  • Dear Ex-wife, Please Come Back    Vivienne’s Presence

Rovan's POV… I couldn't tell how this happened, but I'm glad it happened. I didn't plan for this, so I guess it's fate, and thank goodness she didn't reject me. It would have been my worst experience with a lady in my whole life. Suddenly, they retreated, causing me to quickly open my eyes in fear. As we stared at each other for a moment, the silence between us stretched, not awkward, but fragile. Lyvanne sat on the bed, sunlight spilling across the bed that was covered with a white duvet. Her fingers tightened around the untouched coffee cup before she finally set it aside. “I've been trying so hard not to fall apart," she whispered. “You don't have to pretend with me,” I responded, our eyes still locked on each other. Those six words unraveled the last thread holding her together. “I hate

  • Dear Ex-wife, Please Come Back    Peace

Lyvanne’s POV… Why does he like doing this? Is he enjoying seeing me being curious to hear him complete his statement? “Come on. Could you just speak and stop making me curious?” I rolled my eyes. You announced to everyone that I was your…safe place,” he finally let out. Silence settled in again. Pure silence. My cheeks burned hotter than ever. “I absolutely did not say that,” I argued. “You did,” he insisted. "I was drunk.” “You certainly were.” “I don't remember.” I tried to let him know that he wasn't that special to me. Well, he is, but not like before. If there's one major lesson I have learned from my experience, then I’ll say it has taught me not to reveal to anyone how special they are to me because they'll use that against me and hurt me beyond repair. It isn't my fault…

  • Dear Ex-wife, Please Come Back    The Morning After

Lyvanne's POV… A dull ache pulsed through my head before I even opened my eyes. I groaned softly, burying my face deeper into the unbelievably soft pillow. The faint scent of cedarwood and expensive cologne lingered in the air, oddly comforting yet unfamiliar. This wasn't my bedroom, and I can swear to that even in my sleep. My brows knitted together as I tried to comprehend where I was. “This isn't my room,” I mumbled, my eyes still shut. Was I kidnapped or what? I hope it isn't what I'm thinking. My eyes suddenly snapped open. What came to sight left me dumbfounded. A grand bedroom stretched before me, bathed in the soft glow of the morning sun pouring through floor-to-ceiling windows. The ceiling was impossibly high, the walls adorned with elegant artwork, and every piece of furniture screamed luxury. My heart skipped because I was certain I

Alexander's POV… I couldn't believe my ears as I stood at the door. I wouldn't have believed it if someone had told me this. But hearing this from Isabella broke me beyond repairs. “Of course, baby girl,” she said to the other person on the phone. “Alex sent her to two years of imprisonment because I lied to him that I was pregnant for him, and I lost the baby because Lyvanne pushed me down the stairs.” I was deceived, and all this while I didn't find out? Wow! That was the last thing I could ever think was a lie. I thought the doctor who carried out the operation confirmed the miscarriage.Does that mean Isabella paid him to do that? No. This is unbelievable. And if this is true, both Isabella and the doctor will face my wrath for punishing Lyvanne for what she didn't do. Damn it!

  • Dear Ex-wife, Please Come Back    THE DIVORCE

I got home, still crying. The tears were refusing to stop pouring, my heart would not stop bleeding. I felt pain. Too much pain and none was physical. Even the cabman who had driven me home had been worried about how hard I was sobbing. He’d asked questions but I didn’t answer any. Now I was ho

  • Dear Ex-wife, Please Come Back    THE HEARTBREAK

I studied my reflection in the mirror, taking note of the sage green dress I’d saved up money to buy. It was my anniversary and I wanted to surprise my husband at the office. The dress was fabulous and I knew my husband, Alexander would love it. He usually liked dresses that clung to me and showed

Lyvanne’s POVThe silence in the room was deafening, my gaze never leaving him. The atmosphere was so quiet, like a graveyard.I watched Alexander standing frozen by the door, my question still hanging heavily in the air. I was desperate to hear what he had to say.“Why did you help me?” I asked on

  • Dear Ex-wife, Please Come Back    You have a call

Lyvanne's POVThe studio buzzed with pressure, fabric rustled, machines hummed, staff moving quickly as if the very floor beneath them would catch fire if they slowed down.I stood in the center of the busy office, a storm in heels, snapping out instructions like a general in battle. It has always
