Chapter 20: Those Years of Marriage What Does It Mean?

“Joshua. Joshua!” exclaimed his mother, following him.

Joshua was walking fast to the car.

“Joshua!” shouted his mother.

“What!” exclaimed Joshua.

“Joshua, I didn’t think. I didn’t think this would happen.”

“That’s your point mother! You never think. You never think that by bringing that woman back here it would caused this much problem.”

“I’m-I’m sorry,” said his mother.

“Mother, I know you want what is best for me, but by bringing her back it’s not going to change anything.”

“But-But I thought-I thought you loved her.”

“What?” asked Joshua.

“I thought you still love her.”

“What makes you think that?” asked Joshua, frowning.

“Well-Well, it’s because you didn’t even touched your wife, Emily.”

“Mother, just because I didn’t touched my wife doesn’t mean that I still love my ex-girlfriend.”

“But you-you were so heartbroken when Megan got married to that man.”

“Mother, I wasn’t heartbroken. I was heartbroken due to something else.”

“What?”

“You misunderstood me mother.”
