Joshua enter Emily’s room and sat down on her bed. He laid down where Emily would always sleep. On nights when he sneak in her to see that’s she’s resting comfortably, she would wrapped herself in his jacket or shirt. She would held his piece of clothing close to her and fall asleep.Joshua smiled at the thought of seeing Emily holding onto his piece of cloth."How I wish you really do miss me as much as you pretend to," he thought. Memories of their past came tumbling through his mind.FLASHBACKIt was a bright and sunny day.Joshua was fourteen years old. His grandfather and him went out that weekend. They were out fishing on the grand lake. His grandfather brought his boat and they were going to drift along the shore catching some bass and catfish for breakfast. After that they were going to rest up in their cabin and enjoy the afternoon. Once they’re done they were going to watch the sunset under the evening sky.It was early in the morning when they were unpacking.“Grandfather,
“Like more handsome?”Emily burst out laughing. “No.”Joshua also laughed and clicked his tongue and said, “Hey I got you to laugh there.”Emily smiled at him. She thought, “You are pretty cute though.”Joshua smiled back at her. He handed his hand to her and said, “Come on.”Emily frowned. “Where are we going?”“To my grandfather. He’ll help you find your way back home.”“Um, my grandfather told me not to talk to strangers,” said Emily, backing away from him.Joshua smiled and leaned into her.Emily gasped at their closeness.“Strangers, I’m hurt. We’ve been talking all morning long and you consider me a stranger.”“Ah. Oh. I-I. I didn't mean- Um... I’m sorry.”Joshua chuckled and said, “Alright. I will take that apology this one time only because I’m feeling sorry for you being lost.”Emily nodded.“Not to mention you insulted of not being handsome too.”Emily looked at him with a sad look.Joshua laughed and said, “I’m kidding. No need to look so upset.”Emily smiled at him as he w
“Emily,” said the front receptionist. “Yes?” questioned Emily. “There’s a man by the name of Joshua waiting for to meet you.” “Joshua?” “Yes. Joshua MacClare.” “Oh.” “Yes, ma’am. He said you would know him if I tell him your full name.” “Humph. What does he want?” asked Jordan. Emily put up her hand and walked around the corner. There she saw that it was indeed Joshua. He was waiting in the front desk. He had a basket of flower with him. “Tffft,” she scoffed. “Ma’am?” asked the receptionist. “Let him wait.” “Okay.” Emily stopped and turned around. “If he asked just say that I’m here but I’m busy.” “Alright.” Emily turned around and walked away. She pressed the elevator button to come to the floor. “Oh, that’s a first time that you rejected seeing your lover,” said Jordan. “Ex-husband,” said Emily. “Right.” Emily remained quiet as the elevator door ding opened. She stepped into the elevator and watched as the elevator door closed. “I’m sorry sir, but our CEO’s grand
“Emily,” said her secetary. “Yes?” “It’s about nine o’clock in the evening. I think you should go ahead and go home to rest.” “Wow, is it that late already?” “Yes.” “Alright,” said Emily. She got up and got her purse out of the drawer. She turned off the lights and walked out of her office. When she got down the elevator and was about to exit the main building’s entrance she noticed Joshua. Joshua was waiting for her at the front entrance. He seemed to be pacing around the reception’s desk. Emily frowned as to why he was still there. As she got closer she noticed that he was looking rather anxious. This is the first time she have ever seeen him so nervous. Knowing Joshua before, he was not the patient man to wait upon her. He is more of the man who would blew up the moment he have to wait any longer. That’s why if she was to take too long on getting ready he would just leave her. At least that’s what he did in the past. Emily didn’t think that he waited this long for her. Tha
When Joshua came home, he sat back down on Emily’s bed. He laid himself back down on the bed. He turned to his side and pretended that she was sleeping next to him. He said, “Emily, I really missed you. How I took you for granted.” He closed his eyes and another memories flashed through his mind. The next following morning he took the basket of flowers and went outside to the garden. He then put the flowers he plucked for her and dug holes and replanted them back into the ground.“What are you doing, young master MacClare?” asked Butler Shawn.“Planting,” replied Joshua.“Planting?”“Yes.”“What?”“These flowers.”“Huh?” asked Butler Shawn, leaning over Joshua’s shoulder.Joshua was digging holes with his hands and putting the flowers into the hole and burying the tip of it.Butler Shawn frowned as that is not a way to plant flowes and there is no way those flowers would survive being planted in like that without any roots.Joshua made space and planted every flowers from his basket.
“Come on, it’s getting late, grandfather must be worry sick about us.” “Alright,” nodded Emily. Joshua was leading them the path back to the cabin. “Oh, looks like your family is here to pick you up,” said Joshua. Emily saw a car and became sad. She didn’t want to leave yet. She’s been here with Joshua and his grandfather for a day now and she liked it. She liked the peace and quiet. They were both kind and sweet to her. She was happy. “What’s wrong?” asked Joshua. Emily didn’t know how to tell him that being here with him have made her happy. She was stressfree. His warmth, gentlness, and kind words have made her feel at home. She was aching for more. She didn’t want to leave him yet. Joshua stepped in front of her and said, “What’s wrong little one?” Emily didn’t know what to say and said nothing. “Do you not want to go home?” “I do.” “Then why aren’t you excited about meeting your family again?” asked Joshua, leaning into her. Emily gasped at his closeness. She looked i
“Ouch,” cried Emily. She was rubbing her hands. “What’s wrong?” asked Joshua, he ran back to her. “I fell and scrapped my hands.” Joshua lifted her sleeves up and saw that she was indeed bleeding. Her skin was scrap and some of her skins were peeled back. He blew on her elbows to try to help ease her pain. “Ouch,” said Emily. “Stop moving,” said Joshua. “But it hurts.” “I know, that’s why I’m blowing on it.” Joshua leaned into her and blow on her hands again. Emily looked at him and was admiring his handsome face. How close he was to her. She smiled and the pain in her hands was suddenly gone. “Come on, let’s go. There’s a first aid kit in the cabin.” Emily nodded. Joshua stood up and helped her get up on her feet. “Ow,” groaned Emily. “What’s wrong?” asked Joshua. Emily bent back down. Her knees were also scrapped and she was bleeding. Joshua gasped. “Oh, your bleeding.” Emily nodded. “Come here.” Emily walked to him. Joshua in one swoop lifted her into his arms. “
“Joshua? Joshua,” whisper Emily’s voice. “Emily?” groaned Joshua. “Wake up. You’re going to be late for work.” “What?” “You’re going to be late, so get up and take a shower. I got your breakfast ready.” “Emily?” asked Joshua, shaking his head. “What is it?” “Emily… You’re-You’re still here.” “Yes. Did you need something?” Joshua’s breathing quickened and he grabbed her tiny waist and pulled her to him. He held her against his body and kissed her. “Mmmph, Joshua,” groaned Emily. “Emily, how I miss you.” “Oh, I miss you too,” said Emily. Joshua eagerly kissed her lips. Beep. Beep. Beep. Joshua’s alarm clock went off. Joshua jerk himself awake. He woke up all sweaty. He lifted the bedsheet and found himself hard. “Crap,” he groaned. Beep. Beep. Beep. His alarm clock still going off. Joshua leaned over and turned off the alarm. He groaned as he woke up from his dreams. Sighing he got up and went to take a shower. As he was showering he chuckled as he was going insane. D
