Olivia

I took a taxi home. My head was a complete mess, a jumble of half-formed thoughts and panic I couldn’t seem to shake. I kept trying to make sense of what I’d just seen, flipping through every logical explanation like some broken mental health checklist. Hallucination? Stress-induced delusion? Early-onset insanity?

My heart wouldn’t stop racing—like it was trying to keep up with thoughts I couldn’t quite catch. Everything felt off. Nothing made sense. I didn’t know what was happening to me I knew this wasn’t normal, not by a long shot.

I checked my phone—nothing. Nathan still hadn’t gotten back to me. Of course he hadn’t.

Once I was home, I rushed out of the taxi and practically ran inside. Sebastian was there, waiting. His face was etched with worry, his brows furrowed as he stared at me, like he could already tell something wasn’t right.

I went straight to him, tuning out whatever he was saying. His words blurred into the background—I couldn’t focus on any of it. All I needed

OliviaI sat cross-legged on the bed, watching Sebastian move around the room like a man on a mission. He was packing—well, trying to.His brows were furrowed in deep concentration, his hands hovering uncertainly over two nearly identical white dresses like they were bombs about to go off.“You know,” I said, twirling a strand of my hair around my finger, “this would go a lot faster if you let me do it.”“I offered, Olivia.” He held up the two dresses. “Do these scream 'vacation wife' or 'funeral guest who moonlights as a virgin nun?'”I burst into laughter, flopping back on the bed. “Oh my God, give me that.”He dropped the dresses with exaggerated relief and sat beside me, resting his elbows on his knees.“I don’t know why I’m even stressing. You’ll pack fifteen outfits and wear, what—three? Tops?”“Excuse you, I’ll wear all of them,” I said, dragging my suitcase toward me with dramatic flair. “For photos, duh.”He gave me a lazy smile, reaching out to tug gently on my shirt sleeve.

Sebastian"Olivia... Olivia," I called her name gently, her head still resting on my chest. My fingers lazily brushed through her hair, soft and wild from sleep, the blond strands curling against my skin like velvet threads."Mmm? What’s happenin’?" she mumbled, voice tiny and muffled against my chest as she clung to me like a sleepy little koala. The sight brought a smile to my face. Her skin was warm against mine, her breaths soft and slow, like she was still tangled in the last threads of a dream."It's morning. We have the doctor’s appointment for your arm, remember?""Baby, please... let’s just stay in bed," she whispered, nuzzling into me like I was her favorite pillow. "We’re going to be late." I tried to gently push her away, not really wanting to. "We need to get to the hospital so you can finally get that cast off."She held me tightly, arms stubbornly clinging to my sides. "I don’t want to... I just want to stay in bed.""We can stay in bed after we see the doctor, okay?"

When morning came, I pretended to be asleep while I watched Sebastian get ready for work. His movements were soft, careful, like he didn’t want to wake me.He bent down and placed a kiss on my forehead, smirking. “I know you’re awake.”Once he was out the door, I jumped up like a woman possessed. I rushed to the window and watched the car roll away, a smile spreading across my face when he waved goodbye.God, I love that man.I hurriedly got ready, struggling with this stupid cast slowing me down—but I didn’t care. I had one mission today.I needed answers. I needed to know more about The Beloved Bride Of EldoriaAnd I knew exactly who to ask. When I got out of the car, I hesitated. Kingston Global loomed ahead, all glass and power and cold prestige. Tony’s company. The sky was dim, heavy clouds indicating yet another coming storm curling above like the universe itself was watching.I took a deep breath and stepped into the reception.I walked up to the front desk, my nerves hidden be

Olivia"Mom, can we go now?" I grumbled, splaying out across the plush velvet couch of the boutique like a sulking teen, arms folded and patience thinning by the second as my mother spun into yet another round of dress trials."What's your problem, Olivia? It's not my fault you don’t have good taste in fashion... anymore, that is," she said playfully, popping her perfectly styled head out from behind the curtains with a mischievous twinkle in her eyes."For your information, dearest mother, I am a secret model," I told her, the truth slipping past my lips like a joke. There was no way she’d believe me—so naturally, we both laughed it off."How are things with you and Sebastian going?""Perfectly," I replied with a dreamy sigh, my lips curving as my thoughts trailed to him. God, that man had no right being that addictive."I told you he would come around."I rolled my eyes, dramatically. "Yes, Mother. You’re always right.""Hey, Mom?""Yes, baby?" she replied, her tone softer now."You

SebastianA knock at the door cut into Mark’s presentation on the company’s new acquisition."Come in," I said, lifting my head from the documents on my desk. My mind had been deep in numbers and logistics, but I snapped out of it fast the moment I heard those heels clicking against the hardwood.Stella walked in with a pathetic look on her face, the kind of fake innocence she wore like cheap perfume—trying too hard, clinging too tight."Tony said you wanted to see me," she said, her voice barely audible, meek like she was trying to play the victim in a show she directed.Mark subtly dipped his head and left the office in silence. Smart man—he knew this wasn’t going to be pretty."Sit, Stella," I gestured toward the chair in front of me. She looked tense, shoulders stiff, like she expected a firing squad instead of a conversation. I made sure my tone was polite enough to lull her into a false sense of calm."How is Olivia?" she asked. "What happened to her was so bad..." Her voice tra
