Dominic was there.

He sat comfortably on the velvet couch at the foot of my bed, one arm draped across the back while the other rested on the armrest.

He was wearing a simple black shirt with the sleeves rolled neatly to his forearms.

It happened so quickly that I almost thought I had imagined it.

Then it disappeared, as his expression settled into the same calm look he always wore whenever he was trying to hide what he truly felt.
