“Maze, here’s the bread and milk. Eat well." Mother's smile welcomed me. She laid the milk and bread on the table. She was obviously tired yet she was able to take care of me.
I painted a curve on my lips. "Thank you, Mother."
“Nothing, Maze. Oh hey, I'll get your clothes ready. I’ll leave you first.” She walked away and left me here at the dinner table.
It’s been days since we visited the Imperial Palace. I can say that I was glad somehow that day because no horses were cruel to me.
