I smiled. “Thank you for the concern. I can handle myself so there’s no need to worry.” I realized that I didn’t have any weapon with me so I chuckled. “Well, I think I forgot my sword but still, you don’t have to worry, General. I have the sun as my bodyguard.” I was pertaining to Liene. Without her, I’m completely defenseless, yet I shouldn’t be contented. I shall rely also on what the general had taught me. I’m pretty sure that I somehow learned from him.

“I’ll trust your words, Maze. You may now go—don’t forget about my food.” He ruffled my hair. “While you’re away, I’ll talk to someone else. They are asking for my presence in their office. Let’s meet again later.”

I laughed. "Yes
